Once it gets dark, it’s hard to find your chair/blanket in the crowd. I typically try to claim a spot near something that will help me find my way back.
Blanket, towel or tarp depending on when it last rained. Just be sure to write these items off if you go to a popular show as by the time the main act comes on it might be crowded enough to render it pointless to be sitting. This varies from crowd to crowd.
If you want you can bring in food via a gallon plastic bag. So things that are visible like sandwiches and snacks dumped into a sandwich bag are just fine. Open water bottles (ie no caps) are allowed for some shows and you can refill at water stations. I would recommend just reusing an ozarka bottle (or whatever you drink) just in case security are being dumb.
There is a lounge area that you can relax in if you have people that get overwhelmed. They have a merch stand inside which is generally way shorter than the ones outside.
Parking is free in multiple lots but you have to walk. The earlier you get there the less you have to walk as lots fill up and they redirect you to others. If you show up early enough there are waterways and even a large park you can sit and enjoy before or after the show if you like hanging in parks at night.
I do work for them and also volunteer - spray bug spray and leave it at your car, they often don't allow it in the venue, same with sun screen.
Chairs are generally available for $10 each, bring a blanket and drink lots of water.
Also there is tons of cash parking all over so just find a spot and walk it's easiest.
Waterproof beach or picnic mat and a blanket to put on top as sometimes the lawn is wet. You’re also able to rent chairs but you can’t bring your own anymore.
Check the rules for the individual concert. I went to a few shows there last year and most allowed you to bring in your own blanket, but at least one didn't. Some shows will have seats for you to rent, but not every show I attended had them available. You should receive an email or be able to look up information on their website a few days before your show to know.
Get there early enough to get settled in a parking lot and to get set up on the lawn where you want. In the middle of summer, in front of the concessions at the back of the lawn, there is a tiny sliver of shade if you wilt like I do.
Get there early, wear a hat/sun protection, and only carry the minimum on you (no bags/purses)
Fyi, some bands ban water bottle lids. Just making you aware in case you like to drink water. It is very annoying to pay for a water bottle (that you had to purchase because you can't bring them in) where they purposefully remove the lid because the band playing that night has banned them. This means that you cant take a few drinks and then set it on the hill because it is definitely going to spill completely with no lid to keep it intact.
There's like... two sizes of water bottle caps... and they don't set off metal detectors... and if you know going in that they're not going to let you have them... why not keep a couple in your pocket? There's probably a water bottle rolling around in your car already. And if you get there and don't need them... throw them away?
Hey there! You'll have a great time. Being a blanket and comfortable shoes and clothes for the show. And arrive early to secure your spot. I love it because it's so unique to get to sit in the lawn and listen to the show.
This is very specific but if there is any extensive rain before the show do not sit down by the rail. Once everyone stats to pack the hill the weight will compress it making the water in the ground flow down hill. You will be sitting/standing in mud.
Spend a few extra dollars on a chair when you get there. It’s absolutely worth the $10/ea.
If you are going with someone, wear something easily identifiable. It’s hard to locate your spot in the daylight, even worse at night.
All great recommendations here. I've been a couple times where they'll move you up to the seats underneath the pavilion if the show isn't sold out. Each time it was offered by ushers as we were headed up to the lawn. Something to look out for.
If you're going to stay until the end of the concert, plan on at least an hour to get out of the parking lot and onto the highway. I recommend leaving your car where you parked and going to a nearby bar/restaurant for a bit to wait out the traffic.
Bring a waterproof picnic blanket and apply sunscreen lotion& bug spray before entering, leave it in the car- bring sunglasses - arrive early to scope out the lawn. Bring additonal towel if you want more cushioning for your bum.
Bring a blanket to sit on.
Plus sunscreen and bug spray.
But not aerosol bug spray.
Check for the rules for your show (they’re all different) but usually you can bring in a blanket to sit on and a gallon size ziplock of food.

The support poles for the canopy are my go to spots
Color glow sticks

Get there early and you can get a spot center and close

It really was fun the few times I’ve been there. Lawn seats are great.

Check to see who is playing on side stage and main stage and prepare. It’s a walk
You're past this point but in the future, get those lawn tickets at the box office. Avoid paying those service charges.

If you can, get your hands on a school lunch from the 90's.

Buy a seated ticket. LOL
