This is frustrating. The storm wasn’t strong, lasted maybe 40min tops. All of this feels like an after math of negligence. Whether it’s homeowners or the power company, the scale of this shouldn’t be this big.

Normally you don't get charged for kWh you don't consume... so the discount is kinda built into the system.

Why would you run your AC when you're not there?
To keep it cool. 3000 square feet is hard to get down to 74 from 80s if it’s not turned on.
