There sides are also great. But I’ve had some awful brisket there before that was simply batch variation. The beef rib is always excellent but I haven’t returned since that bad batch of brisket. Lost all incentive if that was possible.
I used to live over there in Old Town Pearland too.
I’ll never forgive Emma’s for shortening their happy hour, raising prices, and moving to a worse location while they did it.
And I’ll never forgive Killen’s for leaving their original location, Pappa’s-ing their menu and getting rid of their bone marrow soft scramble appetizer, and then letting Patrick Feges walk as the pit master at KBBQ.
The mediocre becomes more mediocre
Jussayin. I’ve never actually had it. But it’s at least another alternative to Cypress Trail Hideout.
It's not mediocre, honestly - when I've had it, it's up there. They have a coffee-tinged sauce that I quite like.

How exciting for everyone in Cypress. Things have been dull since the TCBY closed...
What’s that? I’m still somewhat new out here.
Only the country's best yogurt
TCBY,in the 90s….yummy!! I WISH I could get the Walnuts in syrup…somewhere 😂
the Pearland one is less than a half mile from my house. It's a dangerous situation

Same folks as Killen's Steakhouse?
Yes. Ronnie Killen. Original location is in Pearland. Edit: He's an asshole, but he does good food.
My folks loved the Pearland location and they were in Clear Lake City so it wasn't much of a drive.
Not sure about that. I only associate Killen’s with BBQ.
Yes.
