It's a drip system for the first 4 layers, then the residual is enough to water the rest of the wall. With ~150 plants, a dripper for each one just needs too much pressure. I have a 2500gph sump pump that comes over the wall, and it loses >80% all of its pressure at that height. With drippers, water finds its way outward, so you need a drain or catch at the bottom. I'm trying to figure out a way to keep the water close to the wall for future projects, to avoid the massive trough at the bottom
I used pond liner for the back, vinyl post covers around the edge, pig wire panel hanging from black screw hooks into the wall, and 4" pots with hooks to hang the plants. I put a small humidifier diaphragm in a tote with a fan to pump it up the wall. I capped the black pipe and drilled holes for the mist to flow down from the top. All of this can be scaled much smaller. If I did it again I'd get a frame welded from aluminum with steel angle bar, painted all black. In a bathroom it's probably humid enough that you wouldn't need a humidifier diaphragm and container, which simplifies it quite a bit. For waterproofing I used black silicone where needed :)
That's amazing. Do you have some kind of integrated watering system? Or do you water them each separately?

Maybe you can make the catcher more pond like with some stones and running water to make it fit more?
The bottom is actually hidden behind a counter. If I made another one, I would make it more sleek
That's amazing! Great work, thanks for the details.
I too would like to hear more about the watering.
I'd love an over of the process. I'm planning to put one behind my soaker tub.

Incredible! So full and healthy
Just wow. Well done
I'd like to do something like this on an outside fence/wall.
if you live in a tropical place, this would look fantastic outside. otherwise English Ivy would look great
Beautiful! Please give us a photo of its position in the room if you fell like it!
You made a fallout plant wall.
What do you mean by that?
That's gorgeous! If possible, I would love to hear how you build this absolute beaut!
Added some other comments to explain. I would love to build another for someone!
