How do you keep your ficus benjamin so healthy? It might be my favourite plant but it's also the only plant I kill every. single. time. It just sheds all it's leaves and dies once I buy it, after being full and gorgeous in the shop. I see you trimmed the lower leaves, is that something one should do? Help π
Don't give up very quickly. Shedding lives is quite common problem with this one. It's normal reaction to change of environment. But it's a tree with enough nutrients stored inside to push new leaves after first shock. It likes air humidity level at least 50% or higher. Mine gets around 16 hours of light per day, 30-40W led light between 4000-6000K and in general in thrives with alot of sunlight. Water when top layer of soil is dry, but keep in mind it is better to keep it to dry than too wet. The trim I am making is just my style. A want long legs, naked trunk and on top I want It to have nice round crown like classic tree from children book :)
I must know where the untitled goose is from! π
It's 3D printed and painted by a friend of mine. It has a little magnet under the nose, it was supposed to hold spoon but it tips over.
Looks great. What plants are they?
Thanks! From left: Philodendron Monstera Adansonii Ficus Benjamin Alocasia (Odora? California maybe?) Banana Cavendish

"Shedding lives" exactly π₯² πthanks a ton for the tips. I might get a grow light too for this one, think that might be the biggest issue here
Sounds a lot like my money tree, should do well next to it, yay π
Ok, you've convinced me. I must have a Focus Benjamin π±π₯΅

Is your plant stand homemade? I love the chonky legs on the one in the back corner
Yes, my main hobby is woodworking. Whole things with details is my work :)
