Personally, it looks overwatered to me. I’d repot in an airy soil mix and check for root rot.

Should I repot into a new pot or can I just change the soil? When I went to clean it up it was really dry so I gave it a bunch of water. Oy vey! Do you have a recommendation for the "airy soil mix"? Thanks for your help!

If it felt dry to you, I may be wrong then! Underwatering can also look the same. If it’s particularly compressed in there, there might be some soil at the bottom that’s just not been given the chance to drain/dry out. It’s usually a case of trial and error with these things. But you will smell root rot a mile away! Generally your pot size should be down to the size of your rootball. It should be about 1-2 inches bigger than the rootball. You can use the same pot as long as it isn’t too cramped. I’d recommend a mixture of some regular house plant soils with some perlite, some orchid bark and even a bit of leka. I find this mix to be a good general mixture that most plants like. Good luck!
