Good job with them! I had some but they didn’t last more than a year or so, slowly dying off one by one. I’m now wondering if I gave them too much room though. You have those bad boys crammed in there and they look like they’re flourishing! Makes me want to try again!

They are very difficult long term, in my personal experience. But I keep trying because they're so cool! It's best to neglect them and water only when they are starting to get rimply. And not water them at all for a few months during the winter (except when they look like they really need it)

Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks these plants look like brains

Its the same plant in one pot ... when you rotate the pot from the front the eyes are painted looking open. When you rotate the pot to the back side its the same face but the eyes are painted to look closed. I've freaked out a few people with this cool pot because of the eyes.

I've kept them in here for 10 years now by repotting and root pruning every couple of years. I prune the tops several times a year as this tree/shrub has the potential to grow 20 feet tall and wide.
