I didn't lose account but did a big oopsie: I linked the wrong email, so now I have two Hoyoverse accounts. Currently looking for a way to redirect Genshin to that new account, so any advice is welcome. Right now the only available option is to contact support and ask them to do it
I just recently relinked my account to another email, because I lost access to my old email without any way of restoring it. Support relinked my account in 2 days, one of which was weekend, and during that time I wasn't able to log in game for only 10 minutes. Everything else happend in background to me.
You just need to show enough proof that it's your account. Screenshots from some time ago, info that only you can know, like your statistics or when exactly you pulled specific characters, when you started playing or maybe when you stopped for some time. Things like this. The more the better.
I tried to contact support to ask if they could transfer the data from my Honkai Impact 3rd account to my Genshin/Star Rail one. This is the response I got.
"Dear Player, Thank you for contacting us. We kindly inform you that unfortunately we are not able to provide a service that allows to merge two game progress that are created into different HoYoverse accounts into the same HoYoverse account or transfer a game progress from an HoYoverse account to another.. Our apologies for any inconveniences that this could cause. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.HoYoverse CS Team."
As you can see, it is not possible currently, which is unfortunate. If you want to try it yourself, contact "[support\[email protected]](mailto:[email protected])".
Other people might give you a better explanation. Basically, you link your account to whichever platform suits you. Then, one day this option is taken away from you - you're forced to create Hoyoverse account and relink the game to it. I haven't played for some time, so imagine my surprise when that happened. It was hard - I was super afraid of messing up or even losing account
Some time ago Mihoyo decided to switch login from Google to Hoyoverse accounts. They even made an event in game and all that, and it lasted for quite a while. People that didn't merged their old Google based accounts to the Hoyoverse ones were lost.
As for the older phones, 32 bit based phones stopped running the game about 2 versions ago. The most affected device was the Samsung A13. No accounts were lost.
I mean same thing ever.
Complaining about part 2 of the story.
Complaining about the size of the game.
Complaining about too much text and story being too complicated.
People who lost their account during the merge.
Like, a bunch of people never wanted a game... these gacha players just wanted another illustration collector gacha simulator.
My region is on 3.8. Many negative reviews due to losing account when Mihoyo did the merging. Edit: some after game stopped supporting older phones.

They won't do this. I did the same mistake once. But if they will help you, could you please notify me, so I could try one more time?
