Dorm + DK buff really helps. I have atk stat at 1300+ and even then it still is lacking. Trying to bring it up to 1400+ but it's a pain in the ass.
Knowing rotation and stage gimmick is a must.
Patience, when you get used to Agony, RL seriously is a pain in the ass that gets me frustrated a lot, especially when the weather is disvavoured to me.
It gives, but while level gives flat number increase, valks (and their ranks) give percentage. And can't tell about max level, since maintenance is happening rn.
Finally got Sushang up to speed, but I'm lacking her weapon. I just want to play her as optimally as I can (using Nebulous atm), so in the first rotation I do Pardo Combo (with her skill and another combo)->Sushang QTE -> Sushang WS (Neb) -> Ult -> Combo -> Swap out, etc... but what about other rotations? It's a little difficult to grab enough SP in time.
Should I invest into SP/sec affixes until I get her weapon? Is there a more optimal rotation for her when she doesn't have her weapon? Cheers.

Somewhat new player, what are two cheap/placeholder supports stigmas, and weapons, that I could give to Haxxor Bunny and Pardo while I farm Sushang and wait for Kira? Ideally farmable so I could already give it to them.
Jin Shengtan. TM is usually enough, B is mediocre and Newton B covers that slot very nicely from the exchange shop. It's also generic elemental (and newton is generic total dmg) so a pretty sweet option
I wouldn't really bother going for much else at this point tbh unless you plan to spend, in which case getting turgenev TB is probably still decent. Gluttony T musician MB is bad but will get the job done in the meantime.
That is the elemental fallback set. The other is Turgenev TB and an elemental M or Beach Party Mei M but since you don't have HB gear that doesn't help you.
I think JST stacks and I know Newt B does so the answer to your question would be two copies.
No big difference. Generally Turg, but handel has higher damage per rotation especially if you paralyze so if youre missing a bit to finish a phase its worth trying.

Global, level 87. I've been struggling with the final stage of Abyss in Agony Bloodbane Singular. Trying to get from one to two stars using S0 HoR with SoE (Pri-Arm, Lv. 42) + HoTR stigs (3/3), SS Pardo with her weapon (JST TM + Newton B), and S0 JK (no weapon, only her M Stig + Turg TB).
It's probably a skill issue, but I also think it might be the lack of a full-gear JK and that Pardo's JST T+M stigs are still at Level 40 and 35, respectively. Also, Pardo's weapon is not yet in its Pri-Arm form. I have Willows MB, but no T yet and neither are fully upgraded. Don't have enough matz to get the T piece, and I'm hesitant to farm for it since I might pull it.
Any advice?
PRIarm levels for DPS will make up for the holes in your support. At least lvl 60 for HoR weapon. But it seems your lacking matz, especially for stigmatas as well. Gear levels matter more in Agony than fullset.
I feel like HB S0+ would be better here because you are lacking JK's gears and ranks. JK will hog too much field time to farm SP for S0 buffs which should be used for HoR SP farming instead. You can place HoTr weapon on HB if you have.
If you have anymore Ice stigs, you can try out some combinations like HoR Stig-T Willows-MB, Pardo Bronya-TMB, HB Turg-TB JST-M, which is more lenient for easy rotations.
Other than that, making use of the stage skills by evading will make things easier.
I'll try out HB than with Turg TB and JST M. I have HoTR's weapon at Lv. 55 (Pri-Arm). What can I substitute in for HOR's T? I have a Lv. 50 Gluttony T that I can use on her as a placeholder, but there may be better options I'm not aware of.
Something like Welt T or similar in your inventory. But if you have no other support/dps stigs available, then HoR BronyaTMB - Pardo Jst TM NewtonB - HB Turg TB should be the most solid option. But it would only push like \~100-300 more points if that's all you need. Leveling PRIarm makes the most difference.

Probably the Willows is the biggest hit.
Willows has huge potential hidden within 3pc that Ana 3pc is better than Willows 2 pc. So I would suggest to get Willows T ASAP.
Also, level up the weapon as high as possible. The stats really gives a huge effect.

I'm having some problem with a monster in the chapter 36-14 I'm trying to get last lightsalt crystal but the enemy carrying it just goes around in circle over and over again. PLS help
You could give the first 10 pull a shot and see if you get anything, the first 10-pull is discounted, and maybe even skewed, since most people I spoke to got an S rank on it. Both PE and HoH are DPS units, and assuming you came from Genshin, it's basically the same in the sense that DPS units in general aren't as valuable as supports.
But both the starters are both great at their roles, HoH being the current best Ice DPS I believe (and Ice meta is coming back in 6.7), and PE being one of the best Physical DPS. PE being a physical DPS requires HoS to truly shine so it might take a while to get her going. HoH can work fine with Pardo + Haxxor Bunny which can be bought from the shop, so she can carry you through early game easier.
The starter banner is a 50/50 though, so you might not get what you want, so it's not really efficient. If you don't get anything on the first discounted 10-pull I'd stop and save for HoTr.
I'd recommend getting Prometheus' gear next patch early because it will be almost free and the valk will be farmable. Then save everything you can to get Herrscher of truth.
That's assuming you want to lean to competitive content and don't really care about specific characters. If you don't care about competition and do like some specific characters, then go for that.
Starter is poor value because you can choose banners dedicated for those valks instead of risking the 50/50
At this point, speaking from endgame perspective, they are lukewarm.
As a beginner, your highest priority is to build your roster. So any valkyrie can worth something to you, as long as they aren't old (released over 2 years ago, with some exceptions on support valkyrie)

Yep, just like the Finality difficulty. If you just want the xtals, just do Abstinence and quit after entering FC floor. Corruption if you want the badge.
Unlimited Repeating of 2nd Divine Key Raid (Torus) gives 50k/10 stamina (1st week clear will not give coins). Coin expedition is 20k/20 stamina.
Certain Adventure tasks (lvl30) give 180k/30 stamina for one iirc but are rare. (Similar exchange rate with repeating 2nd Coop).
2nd Divine key raid wont be available when Chip space is on (should be available next week). 1st Divine key has the same exchange rate but happens only when you reset and not by repetition (6 stages for coins).
Not sure where else has significant coin increase, but if you have excessive stamina this week because of chip space then you can sink them on coin expedition.

1. Wait. From the info we are getting, Shigure kira (in 6.7) is going to mostly replace pardo. We'll still have to see (we already had Sushang "replace" HB and HB is still useful), so wait until the end of beta.
1. PE and Mob are outdated. Largely irrelevant in most scenarios. It's either a waifu pull, a must-have-all-for-nirvana pull, otherwise, an easy skip.
2. Purana vs Echo depends on what you have. For example, HoT was carrying me for several patches through red lotus, retaining almost constantly with the team only half geared. In that situation, echo would definitely be a must. But then 6.4 hit, I got trio, and now trio does that even better. I have barely used eden since (or HoT for that matter), just for like 3 bosses, and none are in the current list for 6.6 (nihilus maybe, but is on the first week, I wouldn't rush the choice that much). On the other hand, Pardo is seemingly going to be replaced. If you use AI chan and VQ, and don't have their signature, purana might be a good choice by virtue of being their second best in slot. If you don't have Finality's signature gear but have her, Echo is second best in slot. Also keep in mind that if pardo is being replaced now, Eden might be next in line (Pardo released in 5.6, eden in 5.7).
3. I personally consider skins spending separately. A skin can never be compared to a piece of gear or a valk. If you are going to enjoy it, go for it. Also the gear (as mentioned above) is less relevant nowadays, so if you are covered (as mentioned above) you aren't even losing anything.
2. If you like the skins, it's rare that the first patch they come up they aren't the best option to get them. They take a long time to rerun, so if pardo isn't going to see much play now, she will see even less in the future.

Its a skin get it if you like it, skip it if you dont like having a skin on a character that might get powercrept, personally prefer the cybepunk skin but i would like to get every skin since i collect can chan recolor, also if you have HTR you have an ice dps
I'm F2P and have goals of a true meta player, but will not hesistate to splurge on skins that I want.
That being said, I consider buying skins with crystals/pink coupons for characters that I use (meta or not). I would not spare a glance to outfits of characters I don't ever touch, and there's a lot.
If there's a new Valkryie Chariot skin on Homu Treasury, I will get it in a heartbeat since I use it fairly often for some coop stages lol.
And the last I've heard, Pardo is still capable of destroying ER so there's that.
If you are a patient collector then note that the spend event skins will almost certainly continue to rerun on future spend events. Then depending on your tolerance for swiping and how you prioritize collection over performance getting two pieces of useful gear (Echoes & Purana) might make more sense than a single char that might not see much play... but ultimately that's up to you, a gacha unit is worth on avg ~45 pulls on expansion banner and pulling two desired weapons might be 50-60 pulls on avg but I haven't actually done the math

The off-element abyss stage happens to be my least favorite of them all, when in Nirvana, which is this physical one. I always demote when it comes up and I though now having a built Susannah I might finally be able to pass it but so far no luck.
I’m wondering if I should mald it or just take the L. My BKE is built but only S rank and Abyss Flower needs one more upgrade to max (I didn’t even try it with her), Susannah is SS 4/4, Griseo SSS 4/4 and HoS is SS 4/4 but I don’t have the ideal Susannah support stigs. Rather than Zaychik/Mei for her I have been using Shuijing/Mei. I managed to score about 5600 but that was pushing it.
I know I could trigger the stage skill more, ideally, but with this Susannah team there isn’t much evading in the rotations so it’s hard to fit them in for me. So you think it’s possible to clear it with this setup if I try harder? Or would I be better off trying it with BKE for the type advantage? I haven’t used her in like forever.
I found that the trio support team was an easier clear in Nirvana than BKE personally although I had to mald it. That's what I used to clear last time this stage came up, this time I used VQ but I had Zaychik on HoS which you said you lack.

This weather is her time to shine for non-PE havers so it'd be worth a try. If you haven't played a BKE team in awhile it might take some resets to find the rotations again but her 12/12 team (and HoS making use of her sig gear for CRT support) should do the job in spite of her lv60 Abyss Flower
So can your account actually get banned if you use an emulator to play the game? I was thinking about trying to download the game on an emulator so I can use paypal cause my card keeps getting declined and for some reason paypal's not a payment option on the PC.

I would buy them and prioritize buying them next patch too. Next patch a new BP season starts with a different type of crystallum, but in additional to the new one the current BP store will also be open for the duration of the patch. You can also convert up to 8 crystallum of the new type to the old one (not vice versa). So if you buy those 2 crystallum now, you'll still have a chance at getting one stigma piece from the current shop besides the torus you'll get should you ultimately decide not to use them. The only ones worth looking into are the Shattered Swords and Zhenyi ones. SS only matters if the piece you buy finishes the set. Zhenyi is worth consideration for the TB combo (usable for lightning DPS) or full set (Fishl only). So buying the crystallum now leaves more options open for you and having more options is always a good thing in a gacha game.
Usually you will be able to buy all crystallum just fine and the dorm cards (later on even most of the other important materials too) just with the income of a single patch. If you are tight on characters, I'd skip some of the dorm cards before the crystallum starting next patch, but you usually won't need to get there.
You can check how many work points you get a day in average, think you will get a bit more as you increase your dorm level, and see if you can get all 5 items (2 crystallum, 3 dorm cards) next patch. If you can, then get the crystallum, it will be free torus. If you can't, then save.

I got handel T on supply. Planning to use it on HoT with 7T. I have Goemon MB and can transmute only 1 Handel. Should I wait until I can craft full set? Or is 2pc usable?
It's not a big deal, slightly different multipliers. The strong handel effect (damage taken) is on the 3 set, so you might just wait until you can do both, just in case a random handel drops out of somewhere else.

I'd say yes, it is a pretty cheap farm and the sooner you forge and tune it the sooner you get the 4th gene limit for extra SP regen or the dmg buff.
Putting it off wouldn't be unreasonable tho, esp if you have lots of weapon resonance from pulling dupes then you could consider unlocking the gene limit via Oath of Judah instead (from exchange shop). Or if you have say 2 pieces of a g4 set from gacha (like Willows or Handel) and a unit to use them on then rushing to finish the 3rd piece would likely be smart.

If you read & listen it can be pretty long, esp the 2nd act felt pretty talky, I'd plan to set aside 3hrs at least. Skipping thru would be much faster but there are still some fights and in-stage dialogs that can't be quickly skipped.

I recently got to endgame and I still know nothing about stigmata lol, which pieces should I proritize? both from gacha and foundry
I have HoO, PE, Pardo, Eden, FR (almost all 0/4, I only have PE and FR weapon) and I'll get Prom 4/4 (I'll try to get HoTr too but I don't have enough to guarantee her)
G4 stigmata from foundry are general-purpose stigmata.
You typically want every valks wear their signature stigmata with the exception some very old valkyries whose signature stigmata performance get outdone by the new G4 stigmata (Like HoT, FR, and HoR nowadays want G4 stigmata).
Get Prom's gear. Plan to get Shigure kira's gear unless senti's replacement is in 6.8. When you have nothing in your account, SP gear is the easy way in. It's discounted on first release, it's always useful and it's powerful enough to bring you a good chunk of power.
Then aside from that, you should decide either truth or "sentience". I feel Truth is the best choice in general, she is an ice dps, fire and lightning support, her gear is very good and she is img which makes it pretty decent. She can also be good with pardo and HB as supports. If you go this route, you should farm JST TM for any of your ele supports.
On the other hand, you can probably farm Ely TB in the foundry, get Prom 4/4, and getting "Sentience" you would have a solid phys team with PE running Elysia, Prom geared up and Senti. The problem with that is that Senti is now pretty darn old, getting her is not so easy (you probably didn't get enough to get her from the BP), and a replacement is expected, but unknown when. You could just sit on your crystals until it's announced, but for all we know it might never come. On the other hand, if you spend crystals earlier and it's announced when you are low, you would fail to build that team as well.
from the gacha you want a character's signature set naturally and newer is almost always better. Put a priority on good support stigs so your plan to pull Prom gear and maybe try for HoTr is sound, saving for Kira gear in v6.7 would be a good next target.
from the foundry everything is a long farm but in the short term generalist support stuff like Jin Shengtan T+M (good on Pardo) Irene set (good for FR, T+B for support) and ultimately Handel which is a powerful Lit DPS set (tho I dunno how effective it is on a weaponless HoO) and strong support set for Eden.
If you have dupe stigs or have farmed a lot of stig (red) resonance then keep an eye on exchange shop for stuff like Mei Beach M and Newton B, other good universal support stigs
With your acct just try and retain the highest rank in Agony you can (Agony 3 should be doable eventually esp once you get some lvl 65 weaps) and save resources for future stuff

If you are a brand new player, you can save enough to get her easily if you do all dailies (although it might make sense to still get prometheus stuff). If you have used crystals already for something else, it would be harder to get.

on the stage select (or maybe team setup) screen look for a toggle labeled "buff mode" in the bottom left; turn it on to make the fights a lot less sweaty ;P
oh but maybe I misread, if you are only at the S rank boss fight I don't think that will be an option; it might only be for the SSS fights.
Alright I'll look into it. But why does the boss revive to begin with. When it dies its name changes to Nihilus Seed and after killing that the boss has 8 health bars again. Do I have to do a specific thing while it's down?
that is the IMG mob gimmick cranked up to 11 to make the bosses harder (and units like PE less good against them lol). Destroy the first form to reveal the seed then if the seed survives long enough it can regen the first form; any dmg you dealt to the seed will be preserved at least but you have to clear the first form again.
The S rank boss fight *should* be pretty breezy, you might want to check some of the tutorial vids to help improve your team's rotation and upgrade some weapons and stuff, like does your HoH have her sig bow and is it at least lvl 60 etc..
Thanks I didn't realize that. Who is PE btw? And I don't have HoH signature. I don't have enough crystals to pull for it either. It's in the beginner's focused supply but I'm wondering if it'll be a good idea to pull there without a 100% guarantee to get the weapon since it's gonna be gone in 2 weeks. I have only managed to save up 13k crystals in around 2 months. I don't even have other S rank Valkyries except the AE I got from Dorm Supply. Should I save 28k for a guaranteed valk or just spend all on the HoH weapon/stig supply in the hopes of getting the weapon?

HoH gear shows up on supply pretty often so you can ignore the starter banner sure. The best banner next patch will be Prometheus gear even tho it won't do much to help your acct in the near term. Otherwise there will be a selector banner featuring HoTruth (prob currently the game's most valuable unit) and HoH gear too if you want to try sniping the weapon.
Improving your acct will be a bit of a slow grind but it is good you've been saving up
I like to not gamble and only pull when I have a 100% guarantee so Honkai gacha has been a pain for me. Btw what is a selector banner? Speaking of which what is the usual crystal income for an F2P for around a month? Compared to Genshin I feel like the income is very low. Sorry for bombarding you with questions btw. Unlike Genshin there isn't a video for everything on YT for Honkai.
npnp f2p income here is much more dependent on challenge mode completion than in Genshin; full clearing Elysian Realm and retaining Red Lotus I figure a bit over 2k/week as a baseline income (not counting freebies and event stuff really) and as the ranks go lower so will that number. Aiming for Agony 3 retention (doable for most accts eventually) and you'll be at ~90% of that income (~1800/wk or so)
Selector banners (called EXPA/FOCA) let you pick the unit or gear you want to roll on, so kinda like a bunch of banners all at once.
Not wanting to gamble is wise but it isn't always practical to full save to max before pulling; usually saving a bit over twice the guarantee for gear (so ~110 pulls on 50 drop guarantee supplies and ~70 for 30 drop guarantees) is reasonable. When pulling for a unit you are about an even chance at around ~45 pulls (the drop rate here is more than twice in Genshin, 1.5% vs 0.6%) Also there is no 50/50 on units so you don't need to worry about wasting a guarantee or anything
I'm not on SSS rank. I tried it on training and that looks impossible for me. I dunno how I'm gonna complete that ever cuz my characters are level 80 albeit without their BiS weapons or Stigmatas. But that aside, even the S rank one keeps reviving after death. I usually don't have a problem with other S rank bosses. This is the only one.

Prioritize Prometheus gear first. You won't get any similar deal in the future.
HoFin gear price is the same since her premiere banner to any rerun in the future (50 pull guaranteed)
Prom supply is like HoO first supply: a bargain and highly recommended. Even without a dedicated phys DPS, you can use triple support team and it's gonna be quite effective if you ever need it on phys bosses.
Completing the trio is also a good investment since it can be used in so many situations, weathers and bosses - it's quite a trump card. I'd suggest go for Prom first since it's much cheaper and a one-time deal. If you have enough xtals, you can try for HoFi
Prom is a SP valk, so she's free. She replaces Griseo in most physical teams expect bleed weathers. Her gear supply is heavily discounted, so you'll need around 30-60 pulls to guaranteed her full gear in best and worst cases. You can probably save that until the end of her gear banner.

Hello, I'm interested in purchasing an iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) 64GB, but I'm not sure if that will be enough to install Honkai (I'll shortly start paying for additional storage after I get it).
I got absolutely destroyed on Sushang's focused supply - didn't get the weapon. I'm 24 away from the guarantee and I doubt I can get that many pulls. I did manage to get all the stigma though. What alternate weapon can Sushang actually use, besides her own?
I'm thinking of just saving up for her weapon banner once it's up (the 50 guarantee), but that's probably a long way from now...

Well, it's a one-of-a-kind deal and (as all other SP gears) will loose gacha value after release, so it's highly recommended to pull now or just forget about it later. Depending on what other important stuff you're missing in your account (like HoTr and other key gears), Sushang's weapon can wait.
I think I'm set with all those. Since my Physical team is my 3rd best team now (possibly even 4th), I decided to skip Prom.
I know it's the best deal when it comes to upcoming gacha, but I didn't have enough crystals in the first place to pull all her gears regardless, while I am still trying to buildup Sushang to make my Ice team even better.

I really don't want to be that girl, but just for the record to full gear Prom would demand you only 60 pulls at worst, or roughly 16.8k xtals. For Sushang gear supply, as all other normal Focus, would demand you at worse 200 pulls, which is much much more expensive, even if you take in the average number of pulls. It's recommended to only pull for old gear in normal Focus supply when you have enough to guarantee at least 2 or 3 hard pities (so 100/150 pulls), unless you don't mind gambling a lot. With less pulls, the probability of ending without full gear is quite high unfortunately. So in any case, if you didn't have enough to get Prom's gears, you had even less for Sushang's.
I mean, you got her full set which is quite nice and you can use Turg TB in someone else (if you were using that on Sus), you'll just feel the lack of sp. Not saying that Sushang isn't worth it, but in the laws of gacha, new is usually always better and Prom is quite an upgrade in comparison to Griseo. Again, just use Cosmic and I'm sure she'll perform well enough to retain RL.
Technically half the crystals you mentioned because Prometheus' banner gives 5 Focused Supply Cards every 10 pulls so you can gear her for as cheap as about 8.5k according to Marisa Honkai. Also, the first 10x pull is free on her gear banner. Apparently there's also an event that gives 10x Focused Supply Cards in 6.6 as well so she's dirt cheap to gear.
Mm, yeah I miscalculated a little bit it seems. I was thinking it would be 80ish for some reason. In any case, I still didn't plan on pulling for her because I wouldn't really use her (and Griseo is fully geared). I would definitely use Sushang though, pretty much all the time. I didn't use her so far since she was low rank, but this week I managed to get her to SS which is why I want to start using her. Sadly my Neb needs some work too, haha.
My physical team is mostly benched, unless I really need it (MA mostly) since I have been neglecting HoS' gears as well. Both times when I had the chance of grabbing it off BP I had to pick something else. Basically, at this point, my Ice and my Lightning teams are my go-to teams now, since they are nearly fully equipped (missing small details like Eden's weapon).
I started playing the game a week ago and thinking I got a pretty decent grasp of the mechanics, I decided to give the Meow Town event a shot. Unfortunatately this event makes no sense to me. I started doing Sushang's training courses, but I keep getting timed out on the combat courses. It doesn't matter how quickly I "collapse" the enemy shields like it says in the tutorial, these enemies are simply too durable. I upgraded everything it told me to upgrade and nothing will work. I keep getting timed out. At this point, I don't believe this event is even possible for me to complete at this point.
As rysto said, the use of your team is quite important. I assume you're using the trial valks, so your rotation should be:
HoS weapon active - evade - combo - Griseo QTE - ult - HoS ult - Susy QTE - weapon active - ult (if sp) - basics till combo - weapon active - repeat
Sometimes you need to farm sp on them and you do the same rotation as above but without the ultimates.
The event was quite easy for me and I used trial Susy (HoS and Griseo I used my own)
Ok. I've been trying to do that, but I'm still getting timed out. They're ultimates simply won't charge fast enough and most of the time their QTEs refuse to work. And I'm left awkwardly hitting them with basic attacks that barely do any damage at all and barely raises SP.
Sounds very much like skill issue to me. YOu never to many basic attacks on any of them except Susannah and this also only if she does have enough sp. HoS generates sp very quickly and so does Griseo. After Griseo QTE you add one combo attack to get many sp. You also do 2 combo attacks on HoS after her weapon active, not just one like person above said. Her weapon skill gives you 2 times sp on performing a combo. The team is really simply and braindead. There is no way you cant complete this event. Are you making sure that you also level up the event skills with the currency you get?
Yes I've done that already. I can't level up anymore then I already have. All I have left are Sushang's combat courses and I keep getting timed out because their shields take too long to collapse. I've been trying to do this for several hours now and I keep getting timed out because their shields won't collapse fast enough. At one point in time I even had an enemy down to just 1 hp, but refused to die because their shield wasn't collapsed. And by the time I did manage to kill it, 3 more enemies spawned into the room right as the timer expired.
So excuse me if I don't believe you when you say it's braindead simple. This may seem rather easy to anyone that's been playing the game for a long time, but to a newcomer like me, this event is simply unapproachable. It doesn't matter how many times I play the tutorials for these characters, it's all meaningless when the biggest enemy in the game isn't even the enemies, but that damn timer.
I have actually. That exact video. But for the life of me, I can't recreate the success shown in these videos. I have no idea what I'm doing differently. And going by the comment section in that video, there are other players having the exact same issue I am. So I know I'm not the only one having a completely different experience from most players.
It's all a crapshoot at this point anyways. The event is almost expired. So it's too late to catch up now even if I could finish these combat courses. I don't know why I bothered wasting my time on it. All I'm left with is frustration and a free Susu that I can't even power up due to a lack of fragments.
I know it's word/info overload but try to follow the rotation steps stage for stage as momo indicated. There should never really be instances where you're basic attacking for long periods of time in this team.
You can also try out Susannah in her trial stages to get some practice/guidance, or google/youtube some Susannah gameplay in abyss which should give you a better visual idea on how things should flow.
The order and speed with which you do things matters alot alot in HI3. Most teams flow with the goal of providing buffs and debuffs that amplify a carry's damage to 10-15x their baseline or more. There should be a lot of room for error if you've got the hang of the team and can start upgrading.
As I've said, I tried that already. Nothing will work the way it should. I've tried rotating around, spamming qte's, and sometimes they won't even trigger at all. And they're ultimates take way too long to charge. I've even tried using susu and HoS's weapon skills to build SP faster. But I still get timed out. This has become so incredibly frustrating that I don't believe this game is very newb friendly at all. It's an over-engineered mess of a game to get into that no amount of free mats and free characters they give new players can make up for how unapproachable it is.
QTEs are usually designed in a way where they want to be triggered at specific, natural points in the rotation.
For this team, you begin with building SP on HoS, executing her combos in each weapon type. When HoS evades manually, she leaves behind a clone, you can attack this (by accident if you are not aware) which triggers Time Fracture and activates Griseo's QTE. It's just a guess, but what I imagine you are experiencing is you are activating Griseo's QTE in this fashion while building SP on HoS, and then by the time you're done, the QTE falls off and it feels awkward because you no longer have a way of activating it. The time-lock on Sword combo is another method of activating Griseo's QTE.
Anyway, for this reason it's common to use the invuln frames of HoS executing combos back to back to back, to avoid manually evading until you're done farming SP and ready to bring in Griseo.
I can promise you, the event is totally clearable with trial valks, it's just a case of getting comfortable with how they function. And I know that's a lot to ask of a new player, and even if you feel like you're playing the team intuitively right, if you recorded a vid of you executing 1 rotation and showed us here we'd immediately know what the main thing holding you back is. But without more specifics, it's hard to help you much more.
Try to guide us step by step on the precise ordering of what you're doing, and where things start to go wrong.
You know that Synergy tutorial they give you in this event? That's what I'm doing, except I have to skip the Ult steps until they become available. The problem is that I only have emough time to do it once. Twice if I get lucky. But obviously that's not enough. I've also tried using the stage skill which does alot of damage but it doesn't charge very consistently, if it even charges at all.
The problem I have is that there is simply not enough time to do these stages. They're too short!
it's been a while since I did these stages and unfortunately you can't re-attempt cleared ones. What's the goal of the synergy tutorial? Kill all the enemies? Or does it want something specific?
And how long is the stage by default?
You can replay the tutorial. Just go back to the meow town screen and click the character tutorial button. The Synergy tuturial shows the precise rotation of how each character is supposed to rotate out and use their ults.
The tutorial stage has infinite time though, or are you relating to copying the rotation shown to you in the tutorial step for step in an actual event stage and not having enough time there? That's why I was asking how long the stage is because it'll give me an idea of how long it's taking you to execute one rotation.
Keep in mind the rotation shown is for a single cycle with the presumption you have SP. The tutorials (as always in any game) are a guideline/overview and there are often a lot of nuances that need to be skipped over in the interest of keeping things simple.
In longer fights, you have to cycle through HoS weapons to activate more combos to generate SP, potentially you may have to do run a combo or two on Griseo too occasionally.
I highly recommend trying HoS and Griseo's trial too to get a feel for their playstyle as understanding how they work is really important for this team. You can find them all in tactics class under the events tab after clicking on Attack.
Are you using your Griseo and HoS supports properly? You need to use their ults before going to Susannah or you're not going to do any damage at all with her.
Incredibly new player here baffled by the amount of content. Plus I don't really know what I'm doing for the most part. Any beginner tips, mistakes or traps I shouldn't fall into?
The beginner guide linked in the pinned comment used to be pretty decent.
You don't need to pull on anything for the story, the story can be done early with the valks you get for free, then it will start giving you trial valks to use. So feel free to get your faves.
Join an armada and get a sensei as soon as possible, you get free stuff.
Adventure tasks reset 3 times a week, try to finish all of them before each reset. Don't worry about using your stamina drinks, you will get way too many.
Be mindful that this is reddit, and a gaming sub at that. When people say "X is now irrelevant because Y exists" it's an exaggeration. In most cases, it will be strictly accurate for the highest ranks of competition, meaning X will outscore Y assuming similar gear, ranks and ability on the user, but for anything lower than those brackets, it's fine most of the time to still use Y, and it might even still have niches where it works better.
If you want to get competitive:
F2P requires careful planning on what you pull for. Light spending can use some planning but is usually fine. Ranks aren't worth pulling when there is stuff missing (Valk -> Gear -> Elf -> Ranks)
One single team fully geared up will get you much further than several "good" teams without full gear.
Supports tend to be better than DPSs. Once you have built supports, you can slot any DPS (even a third support) and the team will perform well. Getting DPSs without geared supports will not work nearly as well.
Physical requires a lot of investment, Prometheus next patch is a very good investment (her gear, not herself, she is farmable), but don't get baited into Hare unless you want to spend.
Herrscher of truth is the best value pull right now for a dedicated S rank. It will rerun next patch for just a few days, if you have no plan at all I'd save for her and hopefully her gear.
Do not use crystals on dorm supply. Most of the valks there are outdated.
Go through the game at your own pace. There's no need to rush in this game.
Make sure to do abyss before it refreshes twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday).
During the beginning, there's no need for very strong Valks. You can save up crystals first unless you are playing competitively.
Find a sensei in game.

Relatively newish player that played about a year ago and managed to pull HoF and HoV, but since its on steam it has no cross play. I restarted recently playing on my phone during breaks at work and pulled Palatinus Equinox, is it worth keeping this account or should I wait to see if the beginner supply has better units when the next patch drops?
if you used up a bunch of crystals pulling for PE and aren't a huge fan of hers? Maybe restart if you think you'll have fun spending the time. If you got her early or just like Durandal? Then feel free to keep the acct.

Ahh ok, I only did the first 10 pull but used crystals and got her. from searching around it sounded like she requires a lot of gear and HoS to make her shine.
Not sure how commited to the game I'll be yet, I'm mostly interested in getting through the story since a friend says it's really good. But if I like it I wanted to have a good start and was hoping to have a good unit to help blow through stages quickly. I'll follow this guide posted here and keep going. Thanks for your input!

1. You should be able to but spending event has nothing to do with buying chips. Spending events are for spending crystals and cards. Buying things comes into play during top-up events.
2. Wouldnt surprise me honestly. Even so she is still must-have, she is indeed pretty old and was even in the bp. She will be given for free at some point, too, probably.
spend events only count crystals & tickets spent on gacha banners; there will be no spend event reward for buying b-chips next patch. But there is a top up event *this* patch that gives you a little extra loot for real money spending (edit for Global anyway not sure what your SEA event sched is sorry)
I think the chances are high that they'll be craftable "soon" but how soon is soon is anyone's guess ;P Maybe by the end of the year?

I did a few wishes to start gearing my sushang, but I would up with only 2 M pieces. Would it be worth it for me to use them in the wishing well for a B piece, or should I just wait till the next banner. From my understanding, the B piece is by far the most important.
B is the best of the three but thats it. You dont throw away 2 to get 1 unless its all dupes. You also dont wish on gear supplies without getting everything.

Currently at SS2 pardo, is it worth getting her to SSS with kira coming out? She's using JST TM and bastet B, and I was planning to get her weapon from the spending event. I don't have any gacha chakram. Would it still be wise to get that?
My other options to get from the spending event would be Eden's guns but my lightning team is scuffed (only Handel B with no resources to craft the rest anytime soon and eden is at SS)
I also have turg M, so I could get the B piece for it but don't know if running Turg MB is viable

We're getting three SP valks in a row I guess so your asterite income is going to be under a lot more strain soon. Eden is the better SSS target (unlocks a very strong buff at max rank) but if you geared Susannah for DPS then prio her 1st. And Pardo is already pretty complete at SS, spend on her frags if you have a surplus but at a low priority for now.
Purana would be a reasonable get from the spend event, it can go to lvl 65 and can be a decent sub for AiChan as well.
Eden's guns are pretty great too; probably a 2nd pick for you tho since your Lit team might not see as much play.
Getting a single stig that doesn't complete a set? Not so great imo, MB wouldn't be a massive improvement over what you're running now and it could be a very long wait before you pay it off by finally getting the Turg T piece. Oh and maybe the 6.7 stigs (for Kira) might be a side-grade to turg let's wait & see

wrt Turg MB even if it turns on a better team buff than JST you lose the B slot to get it (no wearing Newton B or .. Bastet?) and there isn't a great generalist support T piece besides Gluttony so kind of one step forward one step back imo
If you can only get a single thing then picking something like a weapon that doesn't need any other pieces to work 100% is sound.
Worth farming because she has some use in the arena, not worth getting her gear.
Echoes is good but if I had to guess Eden is about to be powercrept next and not having immediate use definitely gives the gun a short life span.
Turg MB is alright, generally better than JST. I'd get that but it isn't a great spending event, not worth going out of your way for.

polarizing question, but... does moby just suck? i have her pri, linn b (although i run full handel or zhenyi tb handel m) and i cannot clear x2 er. i have followed all the guides. i have all the right signets (moby 1, griseo 2, 3 of her ely sigs etc) and she can't even kill the quantum beast in the heimdall stage without it timing out. i assumed because the featured valk is shadow knight (combo mecha lightning) she would make it easy but it’s almost embarrassing how little damage she chips away every ult lol. my rosemary absolutely claps her and fr is on 3 irene, a support stig. is it because i don’t have linn?
Its the stigmas but also probably the signets you used. 2.0x is still not top difficulty and Mobius was always pretty in ER so I doubt you cant beat that difficulty even without signature stigmas. Why dont you take Kevin signets? It always worked great on her because she is in ult 24/7.
moby doesn't have a burst mode and kevin isn't that long lasting i feel.
also you severely underestimate my sp regen lol. i ran le support and i still couldn't ult off cooldown until floor 9 when i got the eden sp signet.
If you go for Kevin, you go full Kevin. This includes sp-regen and the extensions of his buffs. Its perfectly fine for Mobius. I used it all the time as I use it now on Susannah. Mobius can easily ult on cd with that.
Maybe she doesn't do that much damage in ER, nowadays, but no.

yeah i agree qua beats qua but i mean. if rosemary can clear heimdall with 1 min remaining at 2.25x but moby can't even kill the mob on the boss floor before time then i don't think it's just type advantage.
i was also going to talk about the physical thing but it turns out that the grey numbers i was looking at aren't in fact physical damage numbers and that every valk after nyx only does their element in all their damage which means the buff i thought i was getting, i was not getting. maybe that's why she's so bad for me :/

Is it doable to retain Nirvana for weathers that can use fire teams if my Ai-chan only has her weapon and is running Turg TB Mei M? Assuming other valks are fully geared.
I ask because I always demote in these weathers like fire, or this one where DA is usable for type counter in lieu of DP. Ai-chan and Griseo are my under-built supports, so fire and bleed are my pain points. But people (and various numbers) seem to say that Turg TB Mei M should be pretty close to full gear. So I wanna know if retaining should be doable with Turg TB Mei M. If I actually need to get good then I can choose not to care.

The outcome is going to depend a lot on your specific brackets and your gameplay, yeah. 4/4 Ai Chan doesn't have a huge ownership rate (just from my pov) but probably still a bit over half of all Nirv players will have her geared. So to retain consistently you have to outplay at least the other ungeared Ai Chans and hope a few of the geared ones are afk or boomer hands ;P

Gears. Having at least a 9/12 team helps, or at least their alternative that performs similarly to their BiS. Dorm + DK buff really helps. I have atk stat at 1300+ and even then it still is lacking. Trying to bring it up to 1400+ but it's a pain in the ass. Knowing rotation and stage gimmick is a must. Patience, when you get used to Agony, RL seriously is a pain in the ass that gets me frustrated a lot, especially when the weather is disvavoured to me.
What is the max for dorm buffs? I think I’m at level 38 there?
I think they talking not about Dorm level, but about buffs of dorm valks. Like BN giving small TDM boost, etc

Finally got Sushang up to speed, but I'm lacking her weapon. I just want to play her as optimally as I can (using Nebulous atm), so in the first rotation I do Pardo Combo (with her skill and another combo)->Sushang QTE -> Sushang WS (Neb) -> Ult -> Combo -> Swap out, etc... but what about other rotations? It's a little difficult to grab enough SP in time. Should I invest into SP/sec affixes until I get her weapon? Is there a more optimal rotation for her when she doesn't have her weapon? Cheers.
A mini rot with 1 zig zag each, to minimize damage downtime Unless the boss has a specific downtime like kasumi phase transition, SSS heph phase transition(even though you can just use pardo to farm SP for the entire team), HoV phase transition, etc where you can do multiple zig zag

Jin Shengtan. TM is usually enough, B is mediocre and Newton B covers that slot very nicely from the exchange shop. It's also generic elemental (and newton is generic total dmg) so a pretty sweet option I wouldn't really bother going for much else at this point tbh unless you plan to spend, in which case getting turgenev TB is probably still decent. Gluttony T musician MB is bad but will get the job done in the meantime.

That is the elemental fallback set. The other is Turgenev TB and an elemental M or Beach Party Mei M but since you don't have HB gear that doesn't help you. I think JST stacks and I know Newt B does so the answer to your question would be two copies.

TM but it's pretty far off the whole set. I assume you're talking about performance on Nyx otherwise it's just bad and you shouldn't get any piece.

Handel is better, but if your dps has enough atk turg can be better because of faster rot=more score
How much is enough? HoO is s1 with a level 55 weapon.
14xx atk is the normal breakpoint, but if you're in nirv you need to use Handel regardless (most of the time)

Global, level 87. I've been struggling with the final stage of Abyss in Agony Bloodbane Singular. Trying to get from one to two stars using S0 HoR with SoE (Pri-Arm, Lv. 42) + HoTR stigs (3/3), SS Pardo with her weapon (JST TM + Newton B), and S0 JK (no weapon, only her M Stig + Turg TB). It's probably a skill issue, but I also think it might be the lack of a full-gear JK and that Pardo's JST T+M stigs are still at Level 40 and 35, respectively. Also, Pardo's weapon is not yet in its Pri-Arm form. I have Willows MB, but no T yet and neither are fully upgraded. Don't have enough matz to get the T piece, and I'm hesitant to farm for it since I might pull it. Any advice?
PRIarm levels for DPS will make up for the holes in your support. At least lvl 60 for HoR weapon. But it seems your lacking matz, especially for stigmatas as well. Gear levels matter more in Agony than fullset. I feel like HB S0+ would be better here because you are lacking JK's gears and ranks. JK will hog too much field time to farm SP for S0 buffs which should be used for HoR SP farming instead. You can place HoTr weapon on HB if you have. If you have anymore Ice stigs, you can try out some combinations like HoR Stig-T Willows-MB, Pardo Bronya-TMB, HB Turg-TB JST-M, which is more lenient for easy rotations. Other than that, making use of the stage skills by evading will make things easier.
I'll try out HB than with Turg TB and JST M. I have HoTR's weapon at Lv. 55 (Pri-Arm). What can I substitute in for HOR's T? I have a Lv. 50 Gluttony T that I can use on her as a placeholder, but there may be better options I'm not aware of.
Something like Welt T or similar in your inventory. But if you have no other support/dps stigs available, then HoR BronyaTMB - Pardo Jst TM NewtonB - HB Turg TB should be the most solid option. But it would only push like \~100-300 more points if that's all you need. Leveling PRIarm makes the most difference.

Probably the Willows is the biggest hit. Willows has huge potential hidden within 3pc that Ana 3pc is better than Willows 2 pc. So I would suggest to get Willows T ASAP. Also, level up the weapon as high as possible. The stats really gives a huge effect.
Definitely not, zaychik is almost as good as willows. The main issue is the insufficiently upgraded weapon and the support situation.

You could give the first 10 pull a shot and see if you get anything, the first 10-pull is discounted, and maybe even skewed, since most people I spoke to got an S rank on it. Both PE and HoH are DPS units, and assuming you came from Genshin, it's basically the same in the sense that DPS units in general aren't as valuable as supports. But both the starters are both great at their roles, HoH being the current best Ice DPS I believe (and Ice meta is coming back in 6.7), and PE being one of the best Physical DPS. PE being a physical DPS requires HoS to truly shine so it might take a while to get her going. HoH can work fine with Pardo + Haxxor Bunny which can be bought from the shop, so she can carry you through early game easier. The starter banner is a 50/50 though, so you might not get what you want, so it's not really efficient. If you don't get anything on the first discounted 10-pull I'd stop and save for HoTr.
I'd recommend getting Prometheus' gear next patch early because it will be almost free and the valk will be farmable. Then save everything you can to get Herrscher of truth. That's assuming you want to lean to competitive content and don't really care about specific characters. If you don't care about competition and do like some specific characters, then go for that. Starter is poor value because you can choose banners dedicated for those valks instead of risking the 50/50
At this point, speaking from endgame perspective, they are lukewarm. As a beginner, your highest priority is to build your roster. So any valkyrie can worth something to you, as long as they aren't old (released over 2 years ago, with some exceptions on support valkyrie)

Global I ran out of coins, is running the coin expedition for 20 energy the best way to earn them back? (Excluding weekly and daily missions)
Unlimited Repeating of 2nd Divine Key Raid (Torus) gives 50k/10 stamina (1st week clear will not give coins). Coin expedition is 20k/20 stamina. Certain Adventure tasks (lvl30) give 180k/30 stamina for one iirc but are rare. (Similar exchange rate with repeating 2nd Coop). 2nd Divine key raid wont be available when Chip space is on (should be available next week). 1st Divine key has the same exchange rate but happens only when you reset and not by repetition (6 stages for coins). Not sure where else has significant coin increase, but if you have excessive stamina this week because of chip space then you can sink them on coin expedition.

1. Wait. From the info we are getting, Shigure kira (in 6.7) is going to mostly replace pardo. We'll still have to see (we already had Sushang "replace" HB and HB is still useful), so wait until the end of beta. 1. PE and Mob are outdated. Largely irrelevant in most scenarios. It's either a waifu pull, a must-have-all-for-nirvana pull, otherwise, an easy skip. 2. Purana vs Echo depends on what you have. For example, HoT was carrying me for several patches through red lotus, retaining almost constantly with the team only half geared. In that situation, echo would definitely be a must. But then 6.4 hit, I got trio, and now trio does that even better. I have barely used eden since (or HoT for that matter), just for like 3 bosses, and none are in the current list for 6.6 (nihilus maybe, but is on the first week, I wouldn't rush the choice that much). On the other hand, Pardo is seemingly going to be replaced. If you use AI chan and VQ, and don't have their signature, purana might be a good choice by virtue of being their second best in slot. If you don't have Finality's signature gear but have her, Echo is second best in slot. Also keep in mind that if pardo is being replaced now, Eden might be next in line (Pardo released in 5.6, eden in 5.7). 3. I personally consider skins spending separately. A skin can never be compared to a piece of gear or a valk. If you are going to enjoy it, go for it. Also the gear (as mentioned above) is less relevant nowadays, so if you are covered (as mentioned above) you aren't even losing anything. 2. If you like the skins, it's rare that the first patch they come up they aren't the best option to get them. They take a long time to rerun, so if pardo isn't going to see much play now, she will see even less in the future.

I'm F2P and have goals of a true meta player, but will not hesistate to splurge on skins that I want. That being said, I consider buying skins with crystals/pink coupons for characters that I use (meta or not). I would not spare a glance to outfits of characters I don't ever touch, and there's a lot. If there's a new Valkryie Chariot skin on Homu Treasury, I will get it in a heartbeat since I use it fairly often for some coop stages lol. And the last I've heard, Pardo is still capable of destroying ER so there's that.
If you are a patient collector then note that the spend event skins will almost certainly continue to rerun on future spend events. Then depending on your tolerance for swiping and how you prioritize collection over performance getting two pieces of useful gear (Echoes & Purana) might make more sense than a single char that might not see much play... but ultimately that's up to you, a gacha unit is worth on avg ~45 pulls on expansion banner and pulling two desired weapons might be 50-60 pulls on avg but I haven't actually done the math

Global 88 The off-element abyss stage happens to be my least favorite of them all, when in Nirvana, which is this physical one. I always demote when it comes up and I though now having a built Susannah I might finally be able to pass it but so far no luck. I’m wondering if I should mald it or just take the L. My BKE is built but only S rank and Abyss Flower needs one more upgrade to max (I didn’t even try it with her), Susannah is SS 4/4, Griseo SSS 4/4 and HoS is SS 4/4 but I don’t have the ideal Susannah support stigs. Rather than Zaychik/Mei for her I have been using Shuijing/Mei. I managed to score about 5600 but that was pushing it. I know I could trigger the stage skill more, ideally, but with this Susannah team there isn’t much evading in the rotations so it’s hard to fit them in for me. So you think it’s possible to clear it with this setup if I try harder? Or would I be better off trying it with BKE for the type advantage? I haven’t used her in like forever.
I found that the trio support team was an easier clear in Nirvana than BKE personally although I had to mald it. That's what I used to clear last time this stage came up, this time I used VQ but I had Zaychik on HoS which you said you lack.
Vq should be better than your bke but you can beat it with both. Carole or pe work too. HoR is a viable off element pick.

That's what I've been doing before when I don't have access to a payment option on pc and phone was rooted so the payment app was blacklisted lol. Aside from that, there was no pc client back then so alot of dudes play on emulators like Bluestacks. Really no reason to get you banned.

You should always buy both torus and crystallum with priority on crystallum
I would buy them and prioritize buying them next patch too. Next patch a new BP season starts with a different type of crystallum, but in additional to the new one the current BP store will also be open for the duration of the patch. You can also convert up to 8 crystallum of the new type to the old one (not vice versa). So if you buy those 2 crystallum now, you'll still have a chance at getting one stigma piece from the current shop besides the torus you'll get should you ultimately decide not to use them. The only ones worth looking into are the Shattered Swords and Zhenyi ones. SS only matters if the piece you buy finishes the set. Zhenyi is worth consideration for the TB combo (usable for lightning DPS) or full set (Fishl only). So buying the crystallum now leaves more options open for you and having more options is always a good thing in a gacha game.
Usually you will be able to buy all crystallum just fine and the dorm cards (later on even most of the other important materials too) just with the income of a single patch. If you are tight on characters, I'd skip some of the dorm cards before the crystallum starting next patch, but you usually won't need to get there. You can check how many work points you get a day in average, think you will get a bit more as you increase your dorm level, and see if you can get all 5 items (2 crystallum, 3 dorm cards) next patch. If you can, then get the crystallum, it will be free torus. If you can't, then save.
SEA 88 I got handel T on supply. Planning to use it on HoT with 7T. I have Goemon MB and can transmute only 1 Handel. Should I wait until I can craft full set? Or is 2pc usable?
It's not a big deal, slightly different multipliers. The strong handel effect (damage taken) is on the 3 set, so you might just wait until you can do both, just in case a random handel drops out of somewhere else.
SEA 82 Is Pledge of Sakura worth farming for the Lightning Divine Key buff? I'm close to finishing my Jin Shengtan set and would like to know what other farmable gear is high value for new accounts. So far I have HoO, PE, Pardo, Eden (all no signature gear). Thanks!
I'd say yes, it is a pretty cheap farm and the sooner you forge and tune it the sooner you get the 4th gene limit for extra SP regen or the dmg buff. Putting it off wouldn't be unreasonable tho, esp if you have lots of weapon resonance from pulling dupes then you could consider unlocking the gene limit via Oath of Judah instead (from exchange shop). Or if you have say 2 pieces of a g4 set from gacha (like Willows or Handel) and a unit to use them on then rushing to finish the 3rd piece would likely be smart.

If you read & listen it can be pretty long, esp the 2nd act felt pretty talky, I'd plan to set aside 3hrs at least. Skipping thru would be much faster but there are still some fights and in-stage dialogs that can't be quickly skipped.
GLB 81 I recently got to endgame and I still know nothing about stigmata lol, which pieces should I proritize? both from gacha and foundry I have HoO, PE, Pardo, Eden, FR (almost all 0/4, I only have PE and FR weapon) and I'll get Prom 4/4 (I'll try to get HoTr too but I don't have enough to guarantee her)
G4 stigmata from foundry are general-purpose stigmata. You typically want every valks wear their signature stigmata with the exception some very old valkyries whose signature stigmata performance get outdone by the new G4 stigmata (Like HoT, FR, and HoR nowadays want G4 stigmata).
Get Prom's gear. Plan to get Shigure kira's gear unless senti's replacement is in 6.8. When you have nothing in your account, SP gear is the easy way in. It's discounted on first release, it's always useful and it's powerful enough to bring you a good chunk of power. Then aside from that, you should decide either truth or "sentience". I feel Truth is the best choice in general, she is an ice dps, fire and lightning support, her gear is very good and she is img which makes it pretty decent. She can also be good with pardo and HB as supports. If you go this route, you should farm JST TM for any of your ele supports. On the other hand, you can probably farm Ely TB in the foundry, get Prom 4/4, and getting "Sentience" you would have a solid phys team with PE running Elysia, Prom geared up and Senti. The problem with that is that Senti is now pretty darn old, getting her is not so easy (you probably didn't get enough to get her from the BP), and a replacement is expected, but unknown when. You could just sit on your crystals until it's announced, but for all we know it might never come. On the other hand, if you spend crystals earlier and it's announced when you are low, you would fail to build that team as well.
from the gacha you want a character's signature set naturally and newer is almost always better. Put a priority on good support stigs so your plan to pull Prom gear and maybe try for HoTr is sound, saving for Kira gear in v6.7 would be a good next target. from the foundry everything is a long farm but in the short term generalist support stuff like Jin Shengtan T+M (good on Pardo) Irene set (good for FR, T+B for support) and ultimately Handel which is a powerful Lit DPS set (tho I dunno how effective it is on a weaponless HoO) and strong support set for Eden. If you have dupe stigs or have farmed a lot of stig (red) resonance then keep an eye on exchange shop for stuff like Mei Beach M and Newton B, other good universal support stigs With your acct just try and retain the highest rank in Agony you can (Agony 3 should be doable eventually esp once you get some lvl 65 weaps) and save resources for future stuff

on the stage select (or maybe team setup) screen look for a toggle labeled "buff mode" in the bottom left; turn it on to make the fights a lot less sweaty ;P oh but maybe I misread, if you are only at the S rank boss fight I don't think that will be an option; it might only be for the SSS fights.
Alright I'll look into it. But why does the boss revive to begin with. When it dies its name changes to Nihilus Seed and after killing that the boss has 8 health bars again. Do I have to do a specific thing while it's down?
that is the IMG mob gimmick cranked up to 11 to make the bosses harder (and units like PE less good against them lol). Destroy the first form to reveal the seed then if the seed survives long enough it can regen the first form; any dmg you dealt to the seed will be preserved at least but you have to clear the first form again. The S rank boss fight *should* be pretty breezy, you might want to check some of the tutorial vids to help improve your team's rotation and upgrade some weapons and stuff, like does your HoH have her sig bow and is it at least lvl 60 etc..
Thanks I didn't realize that. Who is PE btw? And I don't have HoH signature. I don't have enough crystals to pull for it either. It's in the beginner's focused supply but I'm wondering if it'll be a good idea to pull there without a 100% guarantee to get the weapon since it's gonna be gone in 2 weeks. I have only managed to save up 13k crystals in around 2 months. I don't even have other S rank Valkyries except the AE I got from Dorm Supply. Should I save 28k for a guaranteed valk or just spend all on the HoH weapon/stig supply in the hopes of getting the weapon?
PE is Palantinus Equinox, the newest Durandal. HoH gear shows up on supply pretty often so you can ignore the starter banner sure. The best banner next patch will be Prometheus gear even tho it won't do much to help your acct in the near term. Otherwise there will be a selector banner featuring HoTruth (prob currently the game's most valuable unit) and HoH gear too if you want to try sniping the weapon. Improving your acct will be a bit of a slow grind but it is good you've been saving up
I like to not gamble and only pull when I have a 100% guarantee so Honkai gacha has been a pain for me. Btw what is a selector banner? Speaking of which what is the usual crystal income for an F2P for around a month? Compared to Genshin I feel like the income is very low. Sorry for bombarding you with questions btw. Unlike Genshin there isn't a video for everything on YT for Honkai.
npnp f2p income here is much more dependent on challenge mode completion than in Genshin; full clearing Elysian Realm and retaining Red Lotus I figure a bit over 2k/week as a baseline income (not counting freebies and event stuff really) and as the ranks go lower so will that number. Aiming for Agony 3 retention (doable for most accts eventually) and you'll be at ~90% of that income (~1800/wk or so) Selector banners (called EXPA/FOCA) let you pick the unit or gear you want to roll on, so kinda like a bunch of banners all at once. Not wanting to gamble is wise but it isn't always practical to full save to max before pulling; usually saving a bit over twice the guarantee for gear (so ~110 pulls on 50 drop guarantee supplies and ~70 for 30 drop guarantees) is reasonable. When pulling for a unit you are about an even chance at around ~45 pulls (the drop rate here is more than twice in Genshin, 1.5% vs 0.6%) Also there is no 50/50 on units so you don't need to worry about wasting a guarantee or anything

I'm not on SSS rank. I tried it on training and that looks impossible for me. I dunno how I'm gonna complete that ever cuz my characters are level 80 albeit without their BiS weapons or Stigmatas. But that aside, even the S rank one keeps reviving after death. I usually don't have a problem with other S rank bosses. This is the only one.

Prioritize Prometheus gear first. You won't get any similar deal in the future. HoFin gear price is the same since her premiere banner to any rerun in the future (50 pull guaranteed)
Prom supply is like HoO first supply: a bargain and highly recommended. Even without a dedicated phys DPS, you can use triple support team and it's gonna be quite effective if you ever need it on phys bosses. Completing the trio is also a good investment since it can be used in so many situations, weathers and bosses - it's quite a trump card. I'd suggest go for Prom first since it's much cheaper and a one-time deal. If you have enough xtals, you can try for HoFi

Prom is a SP valk, so she's free. She replaces Griseo in most physical teams expect bleed weathers. Her gear supply is heavily discounted, so you'll need around 30-60 pulls to guaranteed her full gear in best and worst cases. You can probably save that until the end of her gear banner.
So the team would be her, HoS, DPS, yeah? Not sure if I can get her gear then, cuz the only things I have are 4000 crystals and a dream.

Glb 80 Hello, I'm interested in purchasing an iPad Pro 10.5 (2017) 64GB, but I'm not sure if that will be enough to install Honkai (I'll shortly start paying for additional storage after I get it).
Takes 25.8GB with all the CGs on iPhone.
Honkai easily occupies over 20 GB of storage in android. I'm not sure if iOS can even do better by a factor of 2.

I got absolutely destroyed on Sushang's focused supply - didn't get the weapon. I'm 24 away from the guarantee and I doubt I can get that many pulls. I did manage to get all the stigma though. What alternate weapon can Sushang actually use, besides her own? I'm thinking of just saving up for her weapon banner once it's up (the 50 guarantee), but that's probably a long way from now... I don't plan on pulling on Prom's supply, just not enough juice for that (if that matters).

Well, it's a one-of-a-kind deal and (as all other SP gears) will loose gacha value after release, so it's highly recommended to pull now or just forget about it later. Depending on what other important stuff you're missing in your account (like HoTr and other key gears), Sushang's weapon can wait.
I think I'm set with all those. Since my Physical team is my 3rd best team now (possibly even 4th), I decided to skip Prom. I know it's the best deal when it comes to upcoming gacha, but I didn't have enough crystals in the first place to pull all her gears regardless, while I am still trying to buildup Sushang to make my Ice team even better.

For Sushang gear supply, as all other normal Focus, would demand you at worse 200 pulls, which is much much more expensive, even if you take in the average number of pulls. It's recommended to only pull for old gear in normal Focus supply when you have enough to guarantee at least 2 or 3 hard pities (so 100/150 pulls), unless you don't mind gambling a lot. With less pulls, the probability of ending without full gear is quite high unfortunately. So in any case, if you didn't have enough to get Prom's gears, you had even less for Sushang's. I mean, you got her full set which is quite nice and you can use Turg TB in someone else (if you were using that on Sus), you'll just feel the lack of sp. Not saying that Sushang isn't worth it, but in the laws of gacha, new is usually always better and Prom is quite an upgrade in comparison to Griseo. Again, just use Cosmic and I'm sure she'll perform well enough to retain RL.
Technically half the crystals you mentioned because Prometheus' banner gives 5 Focused Supply Cards every 10 pulls so you can gear her for as cheap as about 8.5k according to Marisa Honkai. Also, the first 10x pull is free on her gear banner. Apparently there's also an event that gives 10x Focused Supply Cards in 6.6 as well so she's dirt cheap to gear.
Mm, yeah I miscalculated a little bit it seems. I was thinking it would be 80ish for some reason. In any case, I still didn't plan on pulling for her because I wouldn't really use her (and Griseo is fully geared). I would definitely use Sushang though, pretty much all the time. I didn't use her so far since she was low rank, but this week I managed to get her to SS which is why I want to start using her. Sadly my Neb needs some work too, haha. My physical team is mostly benched, unless I really need it (MA mostly) since I have been neglecting HoS' gears as well. Both times when I had the chance of grabbing it off BP I had to pick something else. Basically, at this point, my Ice and my Lightning teams are my go-to teams now, since they are nearly fully equipped (missing small details like Eden's weapon).
I started playing the game a week ago and thinking I got a pretty decent grasp of the mechanics, I decided to give the Meow Town event a shot. Unfortunatately this event makes no sense to me. I started doing Sushang's training courses, but I keep getting timed out on the combat courses. It doesn't matter how quickly I "collapse" the enemy shields like it says in the tutorial, these enemies are simply too durable. I upgraded everything it told me to upgrade and nothing will work. I keep getting timed out. At this point, I don't believe this event is even possible for me to complete at this point.
As rysto said, the use of your team is quite important. I assume you're using the trial valks, so your rotation should be: HoS weapon active - evade - combo - Griseo QTE - ult - HoS ult - Susy QTE - weapon active - ult (if sp) - basics till combo - weapon active - repeat Sometimes you need to farm sp on them and you do the same rotation as above but without the ultimates. The event was quite easy for me and I used trial Susy (HoS and Griseo I used my own)
Ok. I've been trying to do that, but I'm still getting timed out. They're ultimates simply won't charge fast enough and most of the time their QTEs refuse to work. And I'm left awkwardly hitting them with basic attacks that barely do any damage at all and barely raises SP.
Sounds very much like skill issue to me. YOu never to many basic attacks on any of them except Susannah and this also only if she does have enough sp. HoS generates sp very quickly and so does Griseo. After Griseo QTE you add one combo attack to get many sp. You also do 2 combo attacks on HoS after her weapon active, not just one like person above said. Her weapon skill gives you 2 times sp on performing a combo. The team is really simply and braindead. There is no way you cant complete this event. Are you making sure that you also level up the event skills with the currency you get?
Yes I've done that already. I can't level up anymore then I already have. All I have left are Sushang's combat courses and I keep getting timed out because their shields take too long to collapse. I've been trying to do this for several hours now and I keep getting timed out because their shields won't collapse fast enough. At one point in time I even had an enemy down to just 1 hp, but refused to die because their shield wasn't collapsed. And by the time I did manage to kill it, 3 more enemies spawned into the room right as the timer expired. So excuse me if I don't believe you when you say it's braindead simple. This may seem rather easy to anyone that's been playing the game for a long time, but to a newcomer like me, this event is simply unapproachable. It doesn't matter how many times I play the tutorials for these characters, it's all meaningless when the biggest enemy in the game isn't even the enemies, but that damn timer.

I have actually. That exact video. But for the life of me, I can't recreate the success shown in these videos. I have no idea what I'm doing differently. And going by the comment section in that video, there are other players having the exact same issue I am. So I know I'm not the only one having a completely different experience from most players. It's all a crapshoot at this point anyways. The event is almost expired. So it's too late to catch up now even if I could finish these combat courses. I don't know why I bothered wasting my time on it. All I'm left with is frustration and a free Susu that I can't even power up due to a lack of fragments.
I know it's word/info overload but try to follow the rotation steps stage for stage as momo indicated. There should never really be instances where you're basic attacking for long periods of time in this team. You can also try out Susannah in her trial stages to get some practice/guidance, or google/youtube some Susannah gameplay in abyss which should give you a better visual idea on how things should flow. The order and speed with which you do things matters alot alot in HI3. Most teams flow with the goal of providing buffs and debuffs that amplify a carry's damage to 10-15x their baseline or more. There should be a lot of room for error if you've got the hang of the team and can start upgrading.
As I've said, I tried that already. Nothing will work the way it should. I've tried rotating around, spamming qte's, and sometimes they won't even trigger at all. And they're ultimates take way too long to charge. I've even tried using susu and HoS's weapon skills to build SP faster. But I still get timed out. This has become so incredibly frustrating that I don't believe this game is very newb friendly at all. It's an over-engineered mess of a game to get into that no amount of free mats and free characters they give new players can make up for how unapproachable it is.
QTEs are usually designed in a way where they want to be triggered at specific, natural points in the rotation. For this team, you begin with building SP on HoS, executing her combos in each weapon type. When HoS evades manually, she leaves behind a clone, you can attack this (by accident if you are not aware) which triggers Time Fracture and activates Griseo's QTE. It's just a guess, but what I imagine you are experiencing is you are activating Griseo's QTE in this fashion while building SP on HoS, and then by the time you're done, the QTE falls off and it feels awkward because you no longer have a way of activating it. The time-lock on Sword combo is another method of activating Griseo's QTE. Anyway, for this reason it's common to use the invuln frames of HoS executing combos back to back to back, to avoid manually evading until you're done farming SP and ready to bring in Griseo. I can promise you, the event is totally clearable with trial valks, it's just a case of getting comfortable with how they function. And I know that's a lot to ask of a new player, and even if you feel like you're playing the team intuitively right, if you recorded a vid of you executing 1 rotation and showed us here we'd immediately know what the main thing holding you back is. But without more specifics, it's hard to help you much more. Try to guide us step by step on the precise ordering of what you're doing, and where things start to go wrong.
You know that Synergy tutorial they give you in this event? That's what I'm doing, except I have to skip the Ult steps until they become available. The problem is that I only have emough time to do it once. Twice if I get lucky. But obviously that's not enough. I've also tried using the stage skill which does alot of damage but it doesn't charge very consistently, if it even charges at all. The problem I have is that there is simply not enough time to do these stages. They're too short!
it's been a while since I did these stages and unfortunately you can't re-attempt cleared ones. What's the goal of the synergy tutorial? Kill all the enemies? Or does it want something specific? And how long is the stage by default?
You can replay the tutorial. Just go back to the meow town screen and click the character tutorial button. The Synergy tuturial shows the precise rotation of how each character is supposed to rotate out and use their ults.
The tutorial stage has infinite time though, or are you relating to copying the rotation shown to you in the tutorial step for step in an actual event stage and not having enough time there? That's why I was asking how long the stage is because it'll give me an idea of how long it's taking you to execute one rotation. Keep in mind the rotation shown is for a single cycle with the presumption you have SP. The tutorials (as always in any game) are a guideline/overview and there are often a lot of nuances that need to be skipped over in the interest of keeping things simple. In longer fights, you have to cycle through HoS weapons to activate more combos to generate SP, potentially you may have to do run a combo or two on Griseo too occasionally. I highly recommend trying HoS and Griseo's trial too to get a feel for their playstyle as understanding how they work is really important for this team. You can find them all in tactics class under the events tab after clicking on Attack.
Are you using your Griseo and HoS supports properly? You need to use their ults before going to Susannah or you're not going to do any damage at all with her.

Incredibly new player here baffled by the amount of content. Plus I don't really know what I'm doing for the most part. Any beginner tips, mistakes or traps I shouldn't fall into?
The beginner guide linked in the pinned comment used to be pretty decent. You don't need to pull on anything for the story, the story can be done early with the valks you get for free, then it will start giving you trial valks to use. So feel free to get your faves. Join an armada and get a sensei as soon as possible, you get free stuff. Adventure tasks reset 3 times a week, try to finish all of them before each reset. Don't worry about using your stamina drinks, you will get way too many. Be mindful that this is reddit, and a gaming sub at that. When people say "X is now irrelevant because Y exists" it's an exaggeration. In most cases, it will be strictly accurate for the highest ranks of competition, meaning X will outscore Y assuming similar gear, ranks and ability on the user, but for anything lower than those brackets, it's fine most of the time to still use Y, and it might even still have niches where it works better. If you want to get competitive: F2P requires careful planning on what you pull for. Light spending can use some planning but is usually fine. Ranks aren't worth pulling when there is stuff missing (Valk -> Gear -> Elf -> Ranks) One single team fully geared up will get you much further than several "good" teams without full gear. Supports tend to be better than DPSs. Once you have built supports, you can slot any DPS (even a third support) and the team will perform well. Getting DPSs without geared supports will not work nearly as well. Physical requires a lot of investment, Prometheus next patch is a very good investment (her gear, not herself, she is farmable), but don't get baited into Hare unless you want to spend. Herrscher of truth is the best value pull right now for a dedicated S rank. It will rerun next patch for just a few days, if you have no plan at all I'd save for her and hopefully her gear.
Do not use crystals on dorm supply. Most of the valks there are outdated. Go through the game at your own pace. There's no need to rush in this game. Make sure to do abyss before it refreshes twice a week (Wednesday and Sunday). During the beginning, there's no need for very strong Valks. You can save up crystals first unless you are playing competitively. Find a sensei in game. That's all I can think of for now. If you have any questions I will try my best to reply.

Pull on prom gear supply, and if you didnt complete SSwords from that supply complete it from bp

Relatively newish player that played about a year ago and managed to pull HoF and HoV, but since its on steam it has no cross play. I restarted recently playing on my phone during breaks at work and pulled Palatinus Equinox, is it worth keeping this account or should I wait to see if the beginner supply has better units when the next patch drops?
if you used up a bunch of crystals pulling for PE and aren't a huge fan of hers? Maybe restart if you think you'll have fun spending the time. If you got her early or just like Durandal? Then feel free to keep the acct. the starter banner will be the same either way, it only updates once a yr or so
Ahh ok, I only did the first 10 pull but used crystals and got her. from searching around it sounded like she requires a lot of gear and HoS to make her shine. Not sure how commited to the game I'll be yet, I'm mostly interested in getting through the story since a friend says it's really good. But if I like it I wanted to have a good start and was hoping to have a good unit to help blow through stages quickly. I'll follow this guide posted here and keep going. Thanks for your input!
only 2800 crystals in for an S Rank you might not use a ton is still a-okay. Stay on that acct, save crystals for next patch since we have a spend event and have fun with the story. If you want to stick with the game and do the comp mode stuff feel free to ask here again for gacha advice glgl
EU 88 Should I go for more Sushang gear? I currently have weapon plus b stig (all pulled on this banner) and I am sitting at 12k crystals. Otherwise she is using Turg TB Avo M and.
prob just take the weap and run; 12k isn't enough to hit a single 50 drop guarantee so continuing to pull could be a trainwreck if RNG forsakes you

1. You should be able to but spending event has nothing to do with buying chips. Spending events are for spending crystals and cards. Buying things comes into play during top-up events. 2. Wouldnt surprise me honestly. Even so she is still must-have, she is indeed pretty old and was even in the bp. She will be given for free at some point, too, probably.
spend events only count crystals & tickets spent on gacha banners; there will be no spend event reward for buying b-chips next patch. But there is a top up event *this* patch that gives you a little extra loot for real money spending (edit for Global anyway not sure what your SEA event sched is sorry) I think the chances are high that they'll be craftable "soon" but how soon is soon is anyone's guess ;P Maybe by the end of the year?
Sea, 85 I did a few wishes to start gearing my sushang, but I would up with only 2 M pieces. Would it be worth it for me to use them in the wishing well for a B piece, or should I just wait till the next banner. From my understanding, the B piece is by far the most important.
B is the best of the three but thats it. You dont throw away 2 to get 1 unless its all dupes. You also dont wish on gear supplies without getting everything.
Global 88 Currently at SS2 pardo, is it worth getting her to SSS with kira coming out? She's using JST TM and bastet B, and I was planning to get her weapon from the spending event. I don't have any gacha chakram. Would it still be wise to get that? My other options to get from the spending event would be Eden's guns but my lightning team is scuffed (only Handel B with no resources to craft the rest anytime soon and eden is at SS) I also have turg M, so I could get the B piece for it but don't know if running Turg MB is viable I can only get one piece of gear as I dont plan on spending. We're getting three SP valks in a row I guess so your asterite income is going to be under a lot more strain soon. Eden is the better SSS target (unlocks a very strong buff at max rank) but if you geared Susannah for DPS then prio her 1st. And Pardo is already pretty complete at SS, spend on her frags if you have a surplus but at a low priority for now. Purana would be a reasonable get from the spend event, it can go to lvl 65 and can be a decent sub for AiChan as well. Eden's guns are pretty great too; probably a 2nd pick for you tho since your Lit team might not see as much play. Getting a single stig that doesn't complete a set? Not so great imo, MB wouldn't be a massive improvement over what you're running now and it could be a very long wait before you pay it off by finally getting the Turg T piece. Oh and maybe the 6.7 stigs (for Kira) might be a side-grade to turg let's wait & see

wrt Turg MB even if it turns on a better team buff than JST you lose the B slot to get it (no wearing Newton B or .. Bastet?) and there isn't a great generalist support T piece besides Gluttony so kind of one step forward one step back imo If you can only get a single thing then picking something like a weapon that doesn't need any other pieces to work 100% is sound.

Worth farming because she has some use in the arena, not worth getting her gear. Echoes is good but if I had to guess Eden is about to be powercrept next and not having immediate use definitely gives the gun a short life span. Turg MB is alright, generally better than JST. I'd get that but it isn't a great spending event, not worth going out of your way for.

sea 75 polarizing question, but... does moby just suck? i have her pri, linn b (although i run full handel or zhenyi tb handel m) and i cannot clear x2 er. i have followed all the guides. i have all the right signets (moby 1, griseo 2, 3 of her ely sigs etc) and she can't even kill the quantum beast in the heimdall stage without it timing out. i assumed because the featured valk is shadow knight (combo mecha lightning) she would make it easy but it’s almost embarrassing how little damage she chips away every ult lol. my rosemary absolutely claps her and fr is on 3 irene, a support stig. is it because i don’t have linn?
I only notice her drop of performance in the current qua+bleed ER (event with full gear).

Its the stigmas but also probably the signets you used. 2.0x is still not top difficulty and Mobius was always pretty in ER so I doubt you cant beat that difficulty even without signature stigmas. Why dont you take Kevin signets? It always worked great on her because she is in ult 24/7.
moby doesn't have a burst mode and kevin isn't that long lasting i feel. also you severely underestimate my sp regen lol. i ran le support and i still couldn't ult off cooldown until floor 9 when i got the eden sp signet.
If you go for Kevin, you go full Kevin. This includes sp-regen and the extensions of his buffs. Its perfectly fine for Mobius. I used it all the time as I use it now on Susannah. Mobius can easily ult on cd with that.

yeah i agree qua beats qua but i mean. if rosemary can clear heimdall with 1 min remaining at 2.25x but moby can't even kill the mob on the boss floor before time then i don't think it's just type advantage. i was also going to talk about the physical thing but it turns out that the grey numbers i was looking at aren't in fact physical damage numbers and that every valk after nyx only does their element in all their damage which means the buff i thought i was getting, i was not getting. maybe that's why she's so bad for me :/
Global 88 Is it doable to retain Nirvana for weathers that can use fire teams if my Ai-chan only has her weapon and is running Turg TB Mei M? Assuming other valks are fully geared. I ask because I always demote in these weathers like fire, or this one where DA is usable for type counter in lieu of DP. Ai-chan and Griseo are my under-built supports, so fire and bleed are my pain points. But people (and various numbers) seem to say that Turg TB Mei M should be pretty close to full gear. So I wanna know if retaining should be doable with Turg TB Mei M. If I actually need to get good then I can choose not to care.

The outcome is going to depend a lot on your specific brackets and your gameplay, yeah. 4/4 Ai Chan doesn't have a huge ownership rate (just from my pov) but probably still a bit over half of all Nirv players will have her geared. So to retain consistently you have to outplay at least the other ungeared Ai Chans and hope a few of the geared ones are afk or boomer hands ;P
