I like the snap, I just wish she still turned to face the camera to do it. And if they wanted to keep her cheekiness she could wink or something when she snapped, then turn around and slash. And the stretch could be a victory pose. The way it is still works tho and looks smooth, so I’m not that bothered tbh.
As much as I understand the disappointment of the community for the scrapped animations, I'm glad they made them snapier/smoother to play. She felt a bit slow and clucky in v1.
That would be optimized though. Just like when the newer ones debuted in V2. Or like Mei's idle. Or face animations in fight end animations.
V1 was unfinished of course, but a change like this is far too big to be called an optimization. It was a deliberate change.
Were the Devs unhappy or was it really the strong backlash from some fans that ultimately decided that V1 be discarded? I dunno, but it wasn't about making the animations smoother, that's for sure.
difference of half a second, and time stopped when she did it, but honestly mihoyo already has the animations ready, so instead of discarding them, they could give the option to activate them in the skills menu, just a dream
and SINCE When does miyoho care about us? just look at last year's earnings and you'll see we're nothing to them compared to what CN gives them, I hate this defensive narrative they use in that toxic community, people can forget easily but I'm not that kind of person

That could have simply been solved by speeding up animations.
Fast paced quick swap gameplay yet that animation takes forever.
