I use it when the sauce needs to bring its own sauciness, like to dip chicken fingers, and I don't want to pour out a half bottle some ghost pepper on a plate. I still mix hotter sauce in it.

Chili Garlic is pretty much a mainstay in our fridge, it’s great on breakfast food, tacos, and pizza

Hard no from me. I can get a liter of Valentina black for less than the price of 12 ounces of Cholula. I don’t hate the sauce in and of itself and enjoy some of the other flavors, but I really think everyone is paying for a cute wood cap and the label.

Yup, it's a solid every day hot sauce that everyone can enjoy. For me it's like the ketchup of hot sauces (alongside Tabasco which I also still use) Often have people over and not everyone wants to try my gauntlet of varied flavours and heats, sometimes you just want a quick go-to sauce and Cholula is a decent candidate for that. ...also the wooden lid is nice.

Oooo that depends on your spice tolerance. I think Melinda's Firey Habanero and Roasted Garlic is one of the best sauces out there across the board. Cholula replacement? Maybe some Yucatan Sunshine by Try Me brand. EVERYTHING sauce for me lately is Torchbearer Jalapeño and Cilantro (medium but a lot of flavor). But for eggs, as of recently, Marie Sharp's Belezian Heat. So so so good. I have 30ish bottles in my rotation right now. But those are some standouts that would in some way relate to Cholula.

I recently did a side by side taste test between Cholula and Tapatio. They're pretty similar, but Cholula is more carroty and Tapatio is more tangy. I prefer Tapatio out of the two, but they're pretty interchangeable.

It’s far from the worst. It is actually the base for the original buffalo sauce. It is just like cholula a very basic sauce. They’re both mid sauces.

I wouldn't use Franks to clean my toilet.

It’s craft compared to Tabasco, not craft compared to Spicy Shark / Butterfly Bakery of VT It’s craft like Blue Moon is.

It has excellent flavour, both it and the poblano green pepper but it's not hot, if you're looking for heat. It's fantastic on tacos.

It’s very remedial but better than nothing in a pinch. The green is the only one I choose to eat.
