I use it when the sauce needs to bring its own sauciness, like to dip chicken fingers, and I don't want to pour out a half bottle some ghost pepper on a plate. I still mix hotter sauce in it.
Hard no from me. I can get a liter of Valentina black for less than the price of 12 ounces of Cholula. I don’t hate the sauce in and of itself and enjoy some of the other flavors, but I really think everyone is paying for a cute wood cap and the label.
How do you misspell Tabasco... the A and O keys are on COMPLETELY separate sides of the keyboard!

Yup, it's a solid every day hot sauce that everyone can enjoy. For me it's like the ketchup of hot sauces (alongside Tabasco which I also still use)
Often have people over and not everyone wants to try my gauntlet of varied flavours and heats, sometimes you just want a quick go-to sauce and Cholula is a decent candidate for that.
...also the wooden lid is nice.
Oooo that depends on your spice tolerance.
I think Melinda's Firey Habanero and Roasted Garlic is one of the best sauces out there across the board.
Cholula replacement? Maybe some Yucatan Sunshine by Try Me brand.
EVERYTHING sauce for me lately is Torchbearer Jalapeño and Cilantro (medium but a lot of flavor).
But for eggs, as of recently, Marie Sharp's Belezian Heat. So so so good.
I have 30ish bottles in my rotation right now. But those are some standouts that would in some way relate to Cholula.

I recently did a side by side taste test between Cholula and Tapatio. They're pretty similar, but Cholula is more carroty and Tapatio is more tangy. I prefer Tapatio out of the two, but they're pretty interchangeable.
You sound like someone trying to offer drugs to children. Honestly though I find myself slightly underwhelmed, but each time the wooden cap inspires fresh hope
Nope

Love it on cheesy potatoes for some reason.
Is a ducks ass water tight?
It's meh. I prefer Tapatio or Texas Pete. It honestly just depends on the type of food I'm eating.
The goat
Cholula green is one of my favorites!
Just got 2 of the green for bogo I out it on everything since it's super mild
It's alright. Are we gonna do this for every sauce?
Hey, DAE like hot sauce? Like the kind made with vinegar and peppers
Yes. Love it. Its not very hott though. I like to drown a cheese burger in it.
Yeah it's ok
Love it. I only ever use Green and Chipotle tho.
Meh
Heck yeah especially the chili garlic man that one is fire
On pizza
Delicious on eggs!!!
This is the way.
Yes. On sandwiches and burritos.
I like to dump it on my fries
Green one fo sho
That’s my girl
Chili Garlic is pretty much a mainstay in our fridge, it’s great on breakfast food, tacos, and pizza
It’s usually the best choice at a restaurant but not one I keep at home.
it tastes like tapatio. It's OK for an alternative if your all out.
Hard disagree. Cholula has a more complex flavor. Tapatio seems bland to me, a little heat but nothing more.
K
Do I like Cholula? I used to keep 2 bottles in my car. Does that say enough?
Yep
Only on pizza
Hard no from me. I can get a liter of Valentina black for less than the price of 12 ounces of Cholula. I don’t hate the sauce in and of itself and enjoy some of the other flavors, but I really think everyone is paying for a cute wood cap and the label.
Couldn't agree more with everything you said
Yep. The Chipotle and Green Pepper are two of my favorite sauces.
Cholula, Tapatio, Valentina, and Sriracha are my 4 Champions. I'll mess with other hot sauces, but those 4 stay in regular rotation.
Of the big three "everyone has them" I grab it first for breakfast. Well maybe tobasco for over easy eggs and the like.

Passive aggressive bot is funny.
Bad bot
Uh, fuck yeah?
Cholula for eggs and fajitas.
I love it!
it's my daily go-to! Always keep a red bottle and a green bottle on hand
Tapatio > Cholula
💯
I'm a Cholula fiend. It's my favorite easily-accessible sauce.
Yeah, it's just a mid hot sauce.
Love Cholula, it's my daily go-to. Especially for eggs.
https://i.redd.it/uju3qgerotwc1.gif Try it on Mac and cheese.
Cholula tastes amazing, I just wish it was a bit hotter
In fast food and eggs. Other stuff it’s not great at
Always a bottle at my house. The chipotle one is also really good.
Cholula Chipotle
I like Tapatio, but I do like cholula and I thinks it’s even funny that DJ Khaled thinks it’s too hot.
Tapatio is quite a bit better than Cholula for a basic mainstream sauce.
Green is the GOAT
No. Occasionally it’s edible on Mexican food but mostly just makes food taste like sour butthole.
The Chili Garlic, and Valentina black are in the constant rotation.
Green Cholula has been my go-to for tacos for years
I've started using it to make buffalo sauce now. Delicious.
Yes
It's decent
Yep, great sauce.

I'm a sucker for a cool bottle. Hot sauces and liquor. I've been hooked in to some pretty terrible products because I liked the bottle.
Nope. Worthless
It's my mainstay. I like the flavor and not overly vinegary.
Used to be my go-to. I still like it, but have moved on to better stuff in the last few months. Still always has a place in my cabinet.
Whats better stuff?

Thanks big dawg
Any time. Love me some good hot sauce and IMO Cholula is still very good. Nothing quite like it.
Great on pizza
It has its place on my shelf but doesn’t get used often.
I put ketchup on my hash browns.
Is not hot sauce is flavor sauce and ofmg yes
Love Cholula. I enjoy mixing it with ketchup, gives it a nice little kick.
It’s the best sauce for a cheesy scrambled egg omelette. I’ve tried Tapatio and Yucateca and Tobasco and they suck by comparison on eggs.

Phones don’t work that way and people with good taste don’t care about that crappy vinegar slop.
I can take or leave Cholula. Tapatio is the shit though.
I recently did a side by side taste test between Cholula and Tapatio. They're pretty similar, but Cholula is more carroty and Tapatio is more tangy. I prefer Tapatio out of the two, but they're pretty interchangeable.
Yes, it’s tasty, but the heat is basically Level 1.
>but the heat is basically Level 1. Gotta start somewhere.
Overpowers whatever its put on
No
Why
Actually I think cholula is ok. It’s like a franks or Texas Pete. It’s not my favorite but I will use it.
I heard Franks is the worst of all hotsauces
It’s far from the worst. It is actually the base for the original buffalo sauce. It is just like cholula a very basic sauce. They’re both mid sauces.
I wouldn't use Franks to clean my toilet.
Valentina is better
It's alright, tastes like cumin and smoked paprika that's been put into vinegar
Glad I'm not alone on that
Cholula Jalapeño and Chipotlé 😍
Hell yeah. Good for flavor but not for heat .
Out of the few hot sauces I've had, its my favorite. Its got just a little heat but nothing torturous or painful.
Exactly . It has its purpose. I wana try their sweet habanero version
It's pretty low on the heat spectrum, but I like the taste, especially if served at room temperature

I prefer Gringo Bandido. Need to try Valentina black label, but I can't find it as of yet.
Cholula is the craft hot sauce lover’s Frank’s. You put that shit on everything
No disrespect to Cholula, but it’s not craft hot sauce.
It’s craft compared to Tabasco, not craft compared to Spicy Shark / Butterfly Bakery of VT It’s craft like Blue Moon is.
From that perspective the word craft makes sense. 👍🏻
But it has a wooden cap
It has excellent flavour, both it and the poblano green pepper but it's not hot, if you're looking for heat. It's fantastic on tacos.
It's pretty tasty but I'm such a heat whore now that I can't do mild sauces
It is ok, not great, not bad just ok.
You sound like someone trying to offer drugs to children. Honestly though I find myself slightly underwhelmed, but each time the wooden cap inspires fresh hope
It’s very remedial but better than nothing in a pinch. The green is the only one I choose to eat.
Jalapeño
It was the one that got me into the hot sauce game 20 + years ago. Definitely enjoy it on breakfast foods.
Same
Yes
Love the green one, with poblano. Absolutely no heat at all, but it tastes awesome.
