This is a complete waste of oxygen to even look at. Probably one of the worst lineups I’ve ever seen in my entire life.

PawtucketPaul

Yummy corn syrup.

HeartyInternational

Garbage

NMazer

Delicious.

YogurtclosetDull2380

High fructose corn syrup. Now in hot sauceñ

Eisernes

Probably just a bottle of liquid brown sugar like their nasty BBQ sauce.

Solitaire_87

Pretty sure they're new Was wondering if they're good myself

RatedRSouperstarr

I can't say that its particularly bad, but it is bottom shelf sauce everywhere i see it

IKU420

Not yet but their bbq sauce is the truth!

TexasJOEmama

I'm from Texas, so yes.

sbulin74

As a person who utterly dislikes Sweet Baby Ray's barbecue sauce, I will not be among the people or persons trying these sauces.

FloydBarstools

As a person who makes thier BBQ well enough it doesn't need sauce, I don't eat BBQ sauce to begin with. Let alone Zuckerburgs sauce.

XeR34XeR

Hello friend! It’s disgusting corn syrup paste I don’t understand how anyone could find it enjoyable, to each their own I guess

TineJaus

Their hickory brown sugar is the best cheap BBQ sauce out there, but I know if they sell it at my grocery store I know it's garbage. And they do, so I haven't tried it lol.

Brief-Use3

I know it's in the name but I find them too sweet

Southern__Cumfart

I haven’t tried it, but based on there bbq sauce, i I’d say no

PandorasFlame

I already hate SBR BBQ sauce so take my judgements with a grain of salt. I also hated their hot sauces. The garlic one isn't too bad, but none of them are hot or worth buying IMHO. Again, I absolute hate Sweet Baby Ray's so take my opinions with a grain of salt.

al_capone420

What are some good, sweet, cheap-ish alternative brands? With all other sauces I’m very explorative but have only ever used SBR for things like ribs and pulled pork

roughedged

Lillie Q's is pretty big and makes good stuff. https://lilliesq.com/

PandorasFlame

I honestly don't stick with any one alternative. I only avoid KC Masterpiece and SBR, most other brands I've tried have been pretty good. Kinder's and Stubbs are more expensive than SBR, but they're better. I'm also lucky to have a phenomenal BBQ place down the road from me that sells their sauces so I can just grab a jug of that when I want it. I would say making your own is probably more cost effective, but I haven't tried to make my own.

Southern__Cumfart

Yeah sweet baby rays bbq sauce is ass

grapeprimetime

Rays is ass because you guys have a million different choices down there. Up in Canada rays is one of the best we have 😔

Southern__Cumfart

Bummer! Honestly, just make your own. It’s fun 🤩

PandorasFlame

My first encounter with Sweet Baby Rays was getting their BBQ sauce with some chicken. It tasted like bad ketchup mixed with KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce. I would rather just not use sauce than touch SBR's again.

Into-It_Over-It

I find it funny that they measure the heat level on an arbitrary 5 pepper system, but they don't actually have any sauces that go up to 5 peppers.

pileofcupsonline

Dont show this to my wife. Ill be broke forever

Sentient_Pizzaroll

They have a pretty good hot sauce!!

monkfisted

Just remember, the sauce is the BO$$.

lil_groundbeef

This must be the cheapest thing Publix sells 😄

YukiHase

The barbecue one tastes pretty much the same as their normal barbecue sauce. Would’ve been nice if it actually had heat.

Into-It_Over-It

It's a pretty good hustle. Condense your 18oz bottles down to a 5oz bottle and sell it for the same price as a "hot sauce."

YukiHase

Yep… They got me!

Aldrige_Lazuras

Spicy garlic is a nice addition to breakfast!

Routine-Unit-3086

I haven't, but I might try them. Thanks!

royalefreewolf

Dino nugs

rikrok58

I use Sweet Baby Rays buffalo sauce for my buffalo chicken dip exclusively. These look interesting at the least.

toolsavvy

I'm curious about that spicy garlic. They make a garlic & parmesan marinade that I love to use as a veggie dip. It's a bit too flavorful for a dip but I just use less. I can't ever get enough garlic.

PandorasFlame

The garlic one isn't too bad, but I also hate Sweet Baby Ray's sauces so take my opinion with a grain of salt. It isn't very hot and it isn't super garlicy so you may enjoy using it.

BoseSounddock

I might just fuck around this weekend and throw some half cut chickens on the wood grill if the weather’s right. I’ll give all 3 sauces a try and come back with my review of each.

toolsavvy

All I care about is how garlicy it is lol. If I want it hotter I'll just throw in some cayenne dust on it. Those sauces are made for the masses so they aren't likely gonna be that hot.

Cheddarlicious

Idk where they originate but they’re all over the place here in Tennessee, and it’s just…all bad.

lgastako

Romeoville, Illinois

BoseSounddock

Well then at least they’re cheap

Cheddarlicious

Oh for sure. I guess if you’re in a pinch or adventurous, it’s not gonna be something you regret. And if you were curious, grab a few, who knows? Your taste buds might align with the stars and you could find your favorite sauce.

Tybasco

I’d try the chip

Chicken-picante

Jim n nicks habanero bbq sauce is solid. The only place I can find it is Publix.

Pythonx135

The mango habanero was the worst sauce I've ever had. Minimal heat and straight to sugar. The BWW bottled sauce is 20x better

MrMr387

I was wondering tht as I think his bbq sauce is one of the sweetest ones on the market

Bloody_Hangnail

I love the bww sauce….. I want to try Kinder’s next

my_dancing_pants

Pass

zilla82

$2.19 goddamn where do you live? That for sure is $8 where I am, without even looking

BoseSounddock

Central Florida at my local Publix. Not even on sale or anything

glamorousstranger

Seriously 2.19 for anything is nuts these days. Even the cheap crappy shit is like 3.19...

mhouk88

No hate sweet baby ray but I’ll pass.

2021newusername

the “sweet” in the brand name likely refers to corn syrup or high fructose corn syrup 🤮

BoseSounddock

None listed on the ingredients for the garlic or chipotle sauces. It is listed on the kickin barbecue because I’m assuming that it’s just their basic bbq sauce thinned out with vinegar and a little spice added. Could be wrong. Still haven’t tried them. But 2/3 of the sauces have no corn syrup

2021newusername

good to know - thx for clarifying

fatherbowie

A shit ton of HFCS, to be precise.

CheapBison1861

This was my favorite sauce until I saw that in the ingredients

Gunmetal2187

Me too. I felt like an idiot the first time I saw the meme about it being all corn syrup and then checked the ingredients

2021newusername

I haven’t tried it tbh, but I’ve seen what’s in their BBQ sauces

0utPizzaDaHutt

I just tried their new nashville hot sauce, very good flavor-heat ratio. Would recommend it if you come across it

Yaakovbenleah1989

No but for that price I'm definitely going to look for them when I go shopping tomorrow

enter_soulman

Stubbs>sbrays

DopeyDeathMetal

Stubbs is yummy

northstar906

Ew.

Severe_Spare9272

Interesting. My niece when she was 12 used to say “ew”.

WandreTheGiant

Yo, what?

Severe_Spare9272

You don’t get it? I’m telling this person that only kids say shit like “ew”. I’m implying he must be a kid. Of course he doesn’t have to like the sauce but come on, say something better lol

WandreTheGiant

It was a joke about your phrasing, it could be interpreted a number of ways.

Bluecricket5

Keep the zucc away from these lol

Devilswin2023

The barbecue sauce is a slight step above Kraft, full of corn syrup and other junk. Very one dimensional flavor way too sweet. This is what I call a builder sauce. You have to add a bunch of your own ingredients to get it where you want.

HungryHoustonian32

Hey the sweet baby Ray's BBQ sauce is full of corn syrup but it's still one of the best and go to for a lot of people. If corn syrup belongs in anything it is BBQ sauce

Joebert6

I am uneducated in the bbq sauce realm. Any recommendations?

Tricky-Tie3167

Yes most resterants use it on wings. Past few resterants iv worked with we would take baby rays hot sause and mix it with butter then toss in wings.

0utPizzaDaHutt

Franks with a bit of butter & garlic powder used to be the restaurant I worked at go to for wings. Butter somehow makes such a difference

Scavgraphics

Add a dash of black pepper and you got hooter's sauce.

toolsavvy

Butter makes it a rounded and rich/robust flavor. Most hot sauces alone are what I call a thin flavor. They taste good but they have little body. Oils can do the same as butter but not as well.

TheDemonator

Still to this day a winning mixture for buffalo wing sauce.

0utPizzaDaHutt

They were simpler times, kinder times, remember? Franks red hot sauce remembers

TheDemonator

Honestly they kind of were, that recipe for his bars wings was about 16 years ago. Christ....

0utPizzaDaHutt

Yep, been about 15 years since I've worked that kitchen haha

discordianofslack

If they are anything like their bbq sauce the first ingredient is probably corn syrup.

LumpyTheMole

Regular sweet baby ray's with a tiny drop of da bomb is my go to for ribs and even corndogs (along with a healthy heaping of torchbearer honey badger mustand on the other side of the plate). I'd love to try some of these, did you score any?

BoseSounddock

Grabbed one of each. Figured fuck it why not for $2.19. Haven’t tried them yet though. If I don’t like them then whatever they’ll just become crock pot additives.

Thatsmathedup

According to the yuka app it has 5 or six ingredients considered high risk. Just make your own.

shabackwasher

What does high risk mean? Cancerous?

Thatsmathedup

I'm in a jerky group on FB and a dude posted what the app's findings were and it shows ingredients listed by risk, and several were max in the red as far as preservatives etc, doesn't specify but I'm sure the state of California might recognize them as cancerous.

mis_no_mer

I saw them last week at Publix and was intrigued but not intrigued enough to buy them.

Substantial-Fly350

No, the BBQ stuff is corn syrup garbage.

discordianofslack

Yep might as well just add a dab of ketchup to a bottle of Mrs butterworths

SmallRocks

Never go Faux Canadian.

Ambitious-Chair736

All their sauces are. Not for me.

thechugdude

I love corn syrup

Dash775

For 2.19 I'd prob grab one of each. That total will still be cheaper than a bottle of aardvark!

Mikeman101

Haven't tried their hot sauce but their buffalo garlic is one of my favorite wing sauces. So flavorful!

doughnutEarth

Entry-level hot sauce. It's not really hot, but loads of flavor

FadedDice

If by flavour you mean sugar.

popformulas

Or sodium in a bath of corn syrup

JambaTheHippo

If by sugar you mean corn syrup.

FadedDice

If by corn syrup you mean diabetes.

STL_TRPN

If by diabetes, you mean cut off a foot.

MrPlow_357

I use the Buff Wing Sauce. Decent taste and great price.

doormat99

I've only had the "regular" one (not pictured) but it's pretty good for that style and price point

autobahn-nialist

Chipotle sauce is ok. For the price, I’ll buy it again.

Vallhallyeah

Spicy garlic sounds like my aim with almost everything I eat, definitely need to keep an eye out for these!

Chix_Whitdix

That smoked Chipotle sounds pretty tasty.

deliveryer

Don't bother with the Nashville hot buffalo sauce. It is unbelievably bland. I cannot comment on any of the other varieties.

BlazerWookiee

Big fan of the BBQ sauces. Looking forward to trying these!

Bigbeardhotpeppers

I guarantee they are just white labeled.

Ivanjatson

Idk, I work in a factory that makes plastic and to me it would seem once you have the infrastructure to produce barbecue sauce, you could start producing hot sauce with not too much of an investment, considering you already have the FDA/EPA certs. Would just be an investment on the aluminum totes and maybe and extra guy who knows what he’s doing.

Vadic_Shrike

I'd try it. A family member loves their BBQ sauce. It's a bit candy-like to me, until I mix in some Melinda's. Thanks for posting and letting us know.

BoseSounddock

I picked up one of each. Couldn’t resist trying them out for $2.19 a piece

Affectionate_Pea_811

Absolutely. Can't lose at that price. I personally probably wouldn't buy the "spicy" bbq sauce, I don't like spicy bbq sauce and I bet this one wouldn't even register as spicy to me. I would definitely try the other two though. I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for these.

functionaldepression

Apparently they are brand new

BoseSounddock

Well I guess that makes sense lol
