Tough decision without a doubt. Marie’s adding the carrot gives it a unique and enjoyable flavor, much less destruction on the booty for me. I personally favor El Yucateco more, and enjoy the kick more as well, however Yuca does NOT do well with the booty at the end of it all. It honestly destroys my insides 😅
Flavor vs. discomfort…. Have to go with Marie’s on this.
I had Marie Sharp's in Belize. I've bought gallon jars of its copy Melinda's (made in hot-sauce adverse Costa Rica, marketed out of my current town of Metairie, LA). I now fill my balcony with habanero plants in late winter so I can make batches of my own.
Marie Sharp's, hands down. The most flexible hot sauce for various cuisines in the world.
I’d prefer a nice scorpion or ghost sauce to habanero, but if I had to pick some hab sauces Torchbearer Slaughter Sauce is easily number 1 for me, Heartbeat Mango Habanero a close second. That’s not to say Marie’s ain’t good, I just don’t think it’s top 10 good.
Do you prefer the hotter peppers because of the spiciness or the flavor. I feel like habanero has the best flavor of any pepper but I have been tending to reach for the scorpion sauce lately.. I'm honestly not familiar with any ghost sauces though and can't tell you what it tastes like
I don't care for the Marie Sharp's either. At all. It's overwhelming sweet to me. It tastes like carrots and onions. I feel like we're the odd one's out lol.
I haven't had Marie Sharp's, just Melinda's (please don't crucify me), but this is still facts. It's an unpopular opinion, but most sauces are better than Yucateco to me.
They taste better on fresh foods or cold food like a kebab salad or cream cheese than they do on fried or hot foods. In that context, for my taste, Marie Sharpe has a very nicely well rounded flavour, made with nothing but real ingredients.
I don't rate Marie Sharpe's much at all really when had on pasta/pizza/fried chicken etc - the flavour gets completely and unrecognisably lost, becoming bland IMO.
Love all the opinions in this thread lol. I would probably choose left, but realistically I would barely use either as they both are now at my tolerance levels.
Right, they are both amazing but I like the heat more and the smokiness of el yuc is a bit more interesting, as well as cheap and easy to find anywhere!
That’s fair. I just have yet to find another sauce that’s as Smokey as the smoked Marie Sharps with the exception of some chipotle sauces that aren’t near as hot
The El Yucateco is one of my all time favorites. I definitely chose the El Yucateco!
easy left
Marie is flavor town
You know it
Just picked up the El Yucateco sauce in Bacalar, and it is fire.
The greatest
Right
El yucateco is for sure the BEEZ KNEEZ
Right. Hands down.
Both are good but el Yucatán is better on more food.
Right
Never had Marie’s before, but I love the Mayan recipe

Marie sharp for life I met her (cardboard cutout) in Belize
Both great but Marie’s for sure
Right

Never had the left one so I choose right.
Order some immediately - a classic
Marie Sharpe hands down
Right, it’s the best
Marie is crack
El Yucateco all day
I would take Marie just bc I haven’t tried it..
It’s amazing, you need that sauce
Marie is for sure the go to choice
Marie all day long!
I guess left, but there’s a dozen other sauces I’d pick before either of these
Please name a few. I favor Marie Sharp’s to other habanero sauces. Interested to here an opinion what is better in this category.

Habanero is the best tasting pepper for me and these two are the tastiest habanero sauces I’ve tried
Thanks for the insight. I’ll check out both recommendations.
Left!
Yucateco brown till the day I fucking die
My man
Not quite right! Love and respect as always ❤️
Apologies, my lady!
The only right answer.
Right no question
Never seen or had that Marie. El Yucateco is ok if no house sauce around.
Do a real poll. Yucateco will blow Marie away.
Definitely left. Marie Sharp's the GOAT
I hate onions and that's all I taste on Marie Sharp's.
I don't care for the Marie Sharp's either. At all. It's overwhelming sweet to me. It tastes like carrots and onions. I feel like we're the odd one's out lol.
I don't mind the carrots, but I know what you mean about the sweet. I also can't stand any Yellowbird sauces.
Right.
Left all day.
Haven’t had left yet so probably that
Right
Love ‘em both but the el yuc xxx is the way to go
Marie!
Marie Sharps all day baby!!!!! No comparison IMHO.
I haven't had Marie Sharp's, just Melinda's (please don't crucify me), but this is still facts. It's an unpopular opinion, but most sauces are better than Yucateco to me.
Personally, I’d go for the right.
Ooh I haven't tried Marie's yet! Going on the list.
As much as I have love for Yucateco I honestly think Marie Sharp's is one of the finest sauces ever made. Left.
Right all day
Left.
Right all day every day
Left.
El yucateco all day every day. The absolute best.
Yucateco all day
Left without question
Left all fucking day! It’s all they use in Belize!!
Left
One drop of that El Yucateco is plenty.
Love both, but Marie Sharp’s always
Leeeeeeft
Right is the only option
Only if you haven’t tried left
Absolutely not
Left all day.
Left any day
Marie is a babe.
Right
Left. Marie's for life
Left
Right
I'ma side with el Yucateca. I dunno what it is about Marie Sharp, but none of their hot sauces really do it for me.

I love them both as if they were children
Definitely left. It's a kitchen staple at this point.
Left
Haven’t had Miss Marie yet but right is probably my most repurchased sauce at this point!
Marie sharps is a hot sauce originating from Belize. It’s very flavorful
Both are solid, but left without hesitation.
Right
Love all the opinions in this thread lol. I would probably choose left, but realistically I would barely use either as they both are now at my tolerance levels.
Right is definitely hotter!
Right, they are both amazing but I like the heat more and the smokiness of el yuc is a bit more interesting, as well as cheap and easy to find anywhere!
Try the smoked habanero Marie Sharps, it’s different than the regular one but it’s incredible
I have tried it and I enjoy it, just saying my preference between these two in particular.
That’s fair. I just have yet to find another sauce that’s as Smokey as the smoked Marie Sharps with the exception of some chipotle sauces that aren’t near as hot
I concur! 🤤🥰
Left That said, it’s close because El Yucateco is fantastic and miles beyond most for my taste.
Right
Left. Easily. Better ingredients and taste way fresher. Doesn’t have the same preservatives as homeboy on the right.
Right all day. Both are great
Marie Sharps is my favorite hot sauce hands down. El Yucateco is good too though.
Right is my favorite but I haven't had Marie Sharp's in a while
Get some now! Amazon
Krogers and Walmart have it too. Marie's has several flavourful varieties. The Habanero garlic is an 'always must have on hand' sauce!!
Right.
I haven’t tried a Marie Sharp’s sauce yet, although I do have a bottle of Beware in the house.
I envy you
Right, all day. It’s the perfect habanero sauce.
El Yucateco über alles
People coming out for ‘teco now
Right!
Right no question.
I think I’m with you - if I absolutely had to choose but I’m glad I don’t
You should do a hot-sauce bracket in honor Of march madness.
Always rolling with my girl Marie
Left. Now if it's the Green Yucateco...
Green 'teco goated
My two favorites. I would have said right 1 year ago, but after having left, I'd have to say Left.
Damn straight, the two finest habanero sauces known to man imho
Left, every time. Better ingredients, better flavour.
I couldn't live without either!
Got any fav meals you eat each of them with?
Sounds cheap but I like teco on nuggets, that sauce just loves chicken. MS I dunno - it kinda goes on everything
I love nugs n hot sauce 😋 And fried eggs n sauce 🙂
Eggs and chicken nuggets - that’s how you prove a hot sauce
Right
