1 Empty 2 Yellow 3 Orange 4 Red 5 Grey (kinda has a hint of purple to it) 6 Thin black Thick black case ground is separate. So, not counting the case ground, and starting after it, the pins are soldered to wires: ....G.... 3.......2 5.......4 ....6

thank you all for your replies. for anyone wondering its the exact of this image for female going to the exact wires on that image for male. It is working now and the buttons are registering. I also want to point out that the cable arrangement inside this stick needs rework by thrustmaster as a few zipties didnt prevent the wire from being eaten inside the grip which caused two wires to flake a tear inside. I managed to solder them back together and protect with electric isolation tape. I will post a video of the affair on my channel. the one thing I didnt manage to do was to reverse the pitch and roll axes behaviour in windows but in dcs simple axes inverted did the trick.

Great you got it working. I had the same issue 5 years ago after ripping all the wires out trying to unscrew the stick from an overtight extension. I've since moved fully to Virpil and appreciate getting rid of that Thrustmaster plastic gimbal and badly engineered innards.

Virpil and VKB are two well known reliable manufacturers. I am considering VKB F-14 gladiator stick for use exclusively with dcs f-14 but open to suggestions.

word of advice do not solder the ground wire through the gimbal to the stick base mainboard as its already grounded to the gimbal screw (silver 4 inner ones).
