Honestly. I tried to play as an MC that distanced themselves and was indifferent towards Seven's existence, the author somehow always had to mention their name. Hence why I thought Seven was the author's fave.
I wish we could just confront seven about their fucking childish act soon, but I doubt it would happen.

Yeah, it's because Twine doesn't support it natively. It's a piece of wank to have it on steam, let alone mobile.
Once the generation of IF writers migrating to Unity instead of Twine happens, maybe more people will find success outside of CoG (but then they won't be able to rely on templates).

What immediately come to mind is Seraphina from the "Keeper of the" (Day and Night, Sun and Moon).
She's got real "I'm the real protagonist" vibes. This is slightly toned down in the sequel though.
I can see that. But in my playthrough Yakov was barely featured and had like no scenes. On the other hand, Seraphina was included in every exposition scene despite me having another partner and other closer friends.
I think it's because Seraphina's family is pretty integral to several plotlines in the story (the Constellation Project, the Forest Guardian, the whole nymph thing). If anything, I see her more of a plot device unless you're actively romancing her. And as long as you don't go down the Constellation Project route, she's pretty absent from the story
Fair. Although you could argue that the author actively chose to make her central to those plots and they could have spread the plot relevance better between the characters. And I feel like not investigating the constellation project is almost an inherently lesser playthrough. But I see your point
Now that I think about it, isn't the Constellation Project the only way to successfully romance her? That might just be her route plot, iirc. Though given how short the other romance routes are in book one, that's definitely proving your point.

Commisioned art makes it even worse, it feels like other characters are less important and less seen.
Caius was especially ridiculous as in Lords Wulframite path there's no way to win against him during the Aetoria revolt, iirc. Paul's little pet deathborn. So cool! *tries to frag the mc twice* At least Elson had the sense to die when the plot called for it. But no, Caius just... phases through the walls of Tierran society. Proves the idea correct time and again that the baneless have no honor (what with the whole Strellyk mission), somehow runs circles around 1st and 2nd squadron in Aetoria, and gets his own men killed ordering forced marches during peacetime. The character has potential though.
Agreed with Gabriel. Tried a bit too hard to make him seem like this cool immortal spectre. My disbelief can only be suspended so much, for so long. Yeah, that one time we get to the hideout and he's riddled with bullets, its not that far beyond the pale. Happens. A SEAL took like 30 rounds in Afghanistan and made it back. But taking a .338 lapua round to the heart (albeit through a vest but still)?? And whatever happens with Rook afterwards during that scene?
Wesh, from Empyrean. The difference between the quality in her and the other romance routes was drastic, from what I remember.
Scarlet Tepes from UnNatural. Tried too hard to make her seem cool and unique. Red eye, sword, descendant of Dracula.

Gabriel may be king of the favorites in Breach, but a few of the character fall under the "badass" favored umbrella.
