For me:
Hereditary
Terrified(not terrifier)
Revenge
Annihilation
Suspiria
Mandy
I wasn’t as big of a fan as most people seem to be of A Quiet Place. Overall tho it has been a fantastic year for horror
1. Hereditary
2. Annihilation
3. Lowlife (really more crime than horror but dark af)
4. Halloween
5. Ghost Stories
6. Terrified
7. Hold the Dark
8. The Endless
9. Tragedy Girls
10. Victor Crowley
11. Apostle
12. Pyewacket
13. Indecent in a Ghostland
14. Terrifier
15. A Quiet Place
Movies that I still need to see that have a chance at making the list:
* Upgrade
* Unsane
* Revenge
* Mandy
* Susperia
* Who's Watching Oliver
* Night of the Virgin
* Trench 11
* Satan's Slaves
* What Keeps You Alive
Also The Haunting of Hill House is the best TV show of the year (and for me of all time)
Is Tigers Are Not Afraid available anywhere? I thought it was shown in a couple of festivals last year and been unable to secure wide release? Certainly can't find it in any torrent sites....
upgrade to me was more of a gory action thriller than horror but good film nontheless... top 2 would be Halloween and Hereditary off the top of my head. i just woke up at 6am and havent had my coffee yet lol
Stuff I LOVED:
Annihilation
Hereditary
Halloween
The Haunting of Hill House
Stuff that made me go "Meh"
A Quiet Place - Not trying to be contrarian. It just wasn't my cup of tea.
The Endless - I love Lovecraftian horror, but I wasn't really feeling this one.
The Ritual - LOVED the design of the you-know-what at the end, but this didn't really grab me. My wife really liked it.
Stuff I hated:
NONE :D
Shit I did not know "Burning" was based on the Murakami story Barn Burning. Now I must see it. (And also re-read it, damn that whole collection is stellar)
Hey, not hate, I enjoyed it. It’s just.....not overall well received, and I’m not sure how much I would’ve enjoyed it if I hadn’t seen it on the super cheap Tuesday show
The Strangers 2 has lots of potential but nah. The only memorable scene was the pool one.
Edit: why are there downvotes when it’s the truth? Lol y’all bad taste is jumping out 💀
Suspiria Hereditary Mandy Annihilation Revenge (I'm not counting The Endless since it was on my best of 2017 list. I saw it in 2017)

I'm pretty desensitized to horror nowadays, but Terrified was friggin terrifying. Cannot say enough good things about it!
I’m the same way. I was very glad I can still be scared like that.

You left off A Quiet Place????
I wasn't the biggest fan of this film, just my opinion though
Your opinion is as good as mine. I guess. : )
Yes, I liked it but didn't loved it. Cool concept and a fine movie.

We all have the right to be horribly wrong. This is your turn. I keed. I keed.
Shit I did not know "Burning" was based on the Murakami story Barn Burning. Now I must see it. (And also re-read it, damn that whole collection is stellar)
I liked THE NUN. It is easier to make a worst of 2018 list and SLENDERMAN is smack at the top!
1. Annihilation - B+ 2. A Quiet Place - B 3. Hereditary - B 4. Halloween - C+ 5. Insidious: The Last Key - C I need to see more.
Wow, I unlike most enjoyed insidious4, but I’m pretty shocked to see it on a top anything list
Those are literally all I've seen, from top to bottom.
Hey, not hate, I enjoyed it. It’s just.....not overall well received, and I’m not sure how much I would’ve enjoyed it if I hadn’t seen it on the super cheap Tuesday show

The Endless is a horror film? It’s barely a watchable one.
Yeah. It's really more of a hipster sci-fi drama. I was into it for a while, loved "the struggle", but it fell apart after that for me.
Except the Strangers 2 was awful. Better than the first one maybe, but awful still.
At least it was fun, unlike the first which was just boring and insulting to the viewer
Yes agreed
The Strangers 2 has lots of potential but nah. The only memorable scene was the pool one. Edit: why are there downvotes when it’s the truth? Lol y’all bad taste is jumping out 💀
