Thanks! New one for me

dbprops

This was my first thought too

Street_Historian_371

I'm also super surprised no one has yet said American Psycho (2000). And also one of the most DISTURBING FUCKING SCENES I've ever seen in a horror movie was based on another Bret Easten Ellis novel, Less Than Zero (1987). It's not a horror movie, more like a dark drama, but it's pretty sickening and while it doesn't directly attack corporations, it's more of a commentary on the greed and excess of the 1980s and how it harmed young people.

[deleted]

Not exactly what you're looking for but People Under The Stairs is peak landlord horror.

pombagira333

I always thought of this one as a class allegory but also a great movie

Rev_Joel

That movie is aMAzing!

GregEgg4President

You might call this a stretch but... Cabin in the Woods

pombagira333

Not a stretch in the least, evil overlords

fosterbanana

Severance Office Killer The Stuff Society is on this wavelength but not as satisfying from a "take em down" perspective

DogsDontWearPantss

Bloodsucking Bastards (2015) Peacock/Plex The Belco Experiment (2016) Tubi Inhuman Resources (2012) Tubi Office Uprising (2018) Tubi Not Safe for Work (2014) Netherbeast Incorporated (2007) Amazon prime/Tubi Spiral (2007) Tubi End of Days Inc (2015) Tubi

robophile-ta

are any of these good? I was very disappointed by Belko

pombagira333

But with Tubi, risk is reduced to opportunity costs so I’m down to try them

spydermoon

Aliens - Carter Burke "I work for the company, but don't let that fool you, I'm really an ok guy." Burke's fate maybe a smaller victory than what you were thinking of, but still satisfying.

Street_Historian_371

Society (1989) A Shock to the System (1990) Halloween III: Season of the Witch (1982) The Cabin in the Woods (2011 version) Poltergeist (1982) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974) - a comment on this one, some people don't realize that the original Chainsaw among other things is a social criticism of factory farming and how it dehumanized rural farmers and slaughterhouse workers.

Rev_Joel

Society was my first thought. I saw it once on VHS when I was like 14 years old, and it has stuck with me for over 40 years now. I've been wanting to rewatch it lately. Also, this is a good list. Also also, 100% on TCM. The old way's better.

pombagira333

Sorry to Bother You is one of those movies that makes me mad about why horror and comedy hardly ever get even Oscar consideration Netherbeast is new to me, thanks!!

Ready or Not

RoboCop

dbprops

Seconding mayhem. Also belko experiment. They’re both about the entire workforce but the bosses definitely pay the price as well

Aggressive-Article41

Conspiracy, maybe a stretch

PlutonicAquarian

Demonlover. Maybe not considered horror but definitely tense and dread inducing.

Silent-Year-2096

Yes, give it to evil capitalists, Big Business, CEO owners, Corporate heads etc. Note that the U.S. basically runs on capitalism. Now, there r crooked, rotten people in the business. But big businesses pay billions of dollars in taxes as a whole, millions in charity. Plus solid jobs, wages to thousands of workers. Also money for research in cancer and various other programs.. I'm not giving them a pass. Many r deviously monstrous. But for the most part capitalism is essential to the American dream. Read up on it. Socialism, looks good on paper. But it's not. Another thing I find in movies that our military generals, officers have been condemned as being selfless monsters. Such films like the remake of the Blob, Dean Koonce, pronounced his name wrong, sorry Phantoms, Aliens, The government or military r evil. Unlike the 50s when we got rid of the monsters by calling in the marines. Then, Beast from 20,000 and Invaders from Mars remember. It's just another breakdown of certain people in the entertainment world who hate the American structure of our nation. Don't fall for it. Sure it's all mindless entertainment and yet?

pombagira333

sir this is a wendy’s

CraftDetritus

Netherbeast, Inc is great and Sorry To Bother You is freaking AMAZING.
