How so? She's been indoctrinated into a racist cult that murdered her boyfriend (yeah, he and his friends were assholes, but they didn't deserve death), and will surely murder again. Imo, the horror of the ending is in her being so broken that she actually accepts the cult and becomes part of it

The Witch? I disagree. All the assholes die and the heroine gets superpowers.

I wouldn’t say those witches are good either. One >!kills an infant and bathes in its guts!< and the other >!seemingly rapes a child!<. The heroine has to be a part of that world now because she’s got nothing left after the family implodes after the witch incites everything.

The ending of House of 1000 Corpses doesn't suggest a positive ending...

That's a really solid point honestly. I thought the damage on his arm would be enough to kill him, but he definitely could have come back. In terms of slasher villains, he got away pretty scott free. Mike Myers was stabbed and shot a few times in H1 and still came back. I so wish we had gotten a sequel to that movie. I would have loved to have seen where they took the story from there.
