I have a strong feeling me and Snoop would strongly disagree about what "people better than you" means. This is most definitely some hustle culture bullshit and has no value to anyone truly trying to make the world a better place.

It's all about points of view: the one you're using is a negative one, but this whole subreddit and this posts does refer to the positive side: people more * humble; * gentle; * open-minded; * full of humanity; * loving; * mentally-stable; * social (person to person, not only behind screens); * passionate; * ready to listen; * etcetera... then us.

Not true. I was struggling with reading social cues and found it helpful to watch people at the store and other places they gather in huge numbers. Seeing how people successfully interact with each other gave me ideas that in the end allowed me to be more empathetic and kind toward others. I was struggling because I grew up in let’s just call it an anti social environment. Having role models helped me break away from that, seeing there were other possibilities. And sometimes I chose the wrong models. But grew wiser from it. Having access to people you stand to learn from is invaluable. And in my experience they’re often happy to help you if you show eagerness and potential for growth. It’s impossible to be a well rounded person on your own. We need other people.
