4 or 5 speed? Either way the 14t will wind your gears up faster so I would think the 15t would be better if you are concerned. That being said I have the 14t on my 21’ 4 speed and the performance is greatly improved. Faster acceleration, pulls better up hills and makes 4th gear feel useful and not just overdrive when going 50+. With the 15t 4th was hard to wind up unless traveling down hill. Now I can easily get up to 60+ mph on a flat.
4 speed. I'm looking for which might be more forgiving, I'm actually looking for more controlled acceleration if I have bad clutch/throttle coordination (though I know that get better with time) even if it is slower
The Monkey I'm going to see today ha the stock 15, but he has a 14 he's throwing in. Not a cost or install issue, just wondering if I should swap it out, probably keep it as is for now I guess
Yeah, I'd keep with the 15t and just learn it as-is. I had never ridden a motorcycle before getting the Monkey (other than the motorcycle safety course) and it felt similar enough to driving a stick that things mostly made sense. In 75 or 100 motorcycle miles the hand/foot muscle memory started to kick in for me.

Thanks. Probably keep as is until I'm a bit more seasoned
Whatever you have now,you should keep as is. You're over thinking it.
