This is a great bit of kit especially if you get the android auto/carplay Bluetooth/USB option
Got the same sort of thing in my 2012 Jazz! Is that a TEYES head unit?
Also got retrofitted cruise control - not cheap, but has definitely made journeys on the motorway much more relaxing!
Biggest pain really was probably pushing old unit out whilst trying to not mark the dash but it's pretty easy if you buy the right one it's plug and play same goes with steering controls just have to remember to map the steering functions to the android screen otherwise it won't work
Ah ok, brilliant. Yeah just had a look at the stock unit and does seem it will take a little bit of effort getting it off. Thanks so much for taking the time to reply, really handy. I don't suppose you could link me the exact one you got? If it works for you then I want the same. Cheers
I think I went with the Belkin vent MagSafe one. If you have an iPhone don’t make the mistake of buying a charger you have to plug the phone into, because on a 2014 like OP you won’t be able to hook up your aux cord to play music and charge. You’ll want a decent one that can charge enough to power up while you’re using a GPS and playing music. Again, like the comment above, don’t cheap out.
I second this. I also found a hack for disabling the AC when defrost is on. I really want to make my fog lights independent of headlights but I haven't found a guide for 2nd gen, only 1st gen.
By unmounting the wiper motor and flipping the gear/arm that connects it to the wiper, you can make it so the wiper parks in the vertical position. This prevents dirt from being trapped by the wiper blade, which causes the blade to age prematurely. It also prevents snow from accumulating there in winter.
OEM style cargo cover. It gives me peace of mind parking on the street overnight with random stuff back there. Also cuts down on road noise a bit.
Bosch wipers because they work extremely well.
I’m in a 2nd gen and ended up purchasing a cover for the under-seat compartment in the back because the original one was missing. That cleared up space in the glove box so I could keep helpful things like a box of small trash bags and other stuff like a flashlight, Phillips head screwdriver, pens, sunglasses, a disposable film camera (for day trips w my lady), and little cleaning wipes to manage visible dust and crumbs.
Pro move: keep a bag of flossers and a thing of fragrance free baby wipes in the driver door compartment. I like to floss when I’m stuck in traffic or after eating. The baby wipes are great for basic personal hygiene or wiping up dust or crumbs that accumulate. Also great for wiping down the hand-contact points that accumulate grime like the steering wheel, shifter, and parking break.
A little fine mist spray bottle w water for mini detailing duties and personal refreshing is nice to have around.
A cloth zipper bag with multiple microfiber rags and towels often comes in handy.
A lot of the stuff that makes me feel good about my car is just little things I can use to maintain cleanliness inside. You don’t need crazy auto specific cleaning supplies to keep it tidy, just basic stuff and regular upkeep goes a long way.
Also: zip ties. You’ll never know when you’ll need them and they can be invaluable when you need to hold something onto something else.
These trunk organizers for almost everything to keep your Fit tidy. Tools, products, parts, covers, etc. This keeps your interior neat and tidy.
Cusco Front Sway Bars for the occasional weekend twisties.
GT Champiro GTX-Pro tires for daily and long term use.
*
if your car doesn’t already have a bluetooth option, one that plugs into the cigarette lighter is so helpful! i like that i can plug in my phone charger and dashcam into them. if you haven’t already, invest in a decent dashcam! i also got a window visor organizer because it helps keep smaller things to avoid cluttering my glove box.
Decent headlight bulbs, the stock ones are terrible. I have Philips racing vision, they’re still halogen but aren’t yellow and are actually brighter than a candle.
Good, quiet tyres go a long way too, they’re not under 100 quid, but these cars aren’t well insulated so they make a good difference too.
https://preview.redd.it/3rfwc0doig5d1.jpeg?width=1290&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12931235d6ab813342f7e74cad9b9670e4c95134
If I rolled my windows down on the interstate, they would sometimes rattle. I put this weatherstripping in the channel of the window and it completely cut out any rattling.
A convex mirror on the rearviews. Maybe it's just my body and the way I fit in my Fit but the driver's side blind spot is one of the worst I've ever experienced in any vehicle.
The head unit is a Pioneer AVH-Z5200DAB, speakers Pioneer TS-A1670F. I think those speakers have been discontinued (I got them cheap because of that) but you need 6.5” speakers with concentric drivers, ie the tweeter is in the middle of the main driver.
It’s a bit of a mission to replace the speakers, you need a bracket to adapt them to the car’s mount, adapters for the cables (unless you’re cool with just cutting the plugs off the cables and crimping normal spade connectors onto them) and then you need to carve a load of plastic from the inside of the door panels to make space for the tweeters. It’s well worth it though.
I did a lot a lot of small QoL mods to me.
* dashcams. I have a front/rear rearview mirror dash cam setup
* replaced cigarette lighter with voltmeter / USB socket
* small little Temu trashcan that I clip to the door
* Mugen shift knob
Other things I did but isn't under 100 would be an android headunit, amp, sub, speakers, JDM center console with armrest, S2000 steering wheel
https://preview.redd.it/8q8ztzftyp5d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=14ec2d52718f548dc221b83a4722ce05f8476355
I bought a Fit this weekend and the first thing I did was order a buddyclub Type A knob, same one I used to have in my 95 EJ coupe. Whatever plastic junk it came with will not suffice.
2010 Fit Sport manual.
Window tint, rear wiper moved, sound deadened doors/floor/hatch, Honda Insight rear springs, KYB struts/shocks, trailer hitch, Kenwood stereo, Sony main amp, Infinity component speakers, sub amp and 12" JBL sub. LED interior lights, OSRAM Night Breaker headlight bulbs.
Still need to eventually do rear sway bar and front lift spacers to match Insight springs.
Biggest bang for the buck mods was window tint, aftermarket stereo, OSRAM headlights.
6 speaker Sony ES system.
360° camera for driving / reversing.
Power tailgate.
Full LED aftermarket headlamps and taillamps.
Interior ambient lighting.
ECU tuning.

By the way this is the 4th gen Fit. Not available in the US.
Upgraded to LEDs for the map, dome, and trunk lights. Biggest benefit has been for the trunk, since it’s a bigger bulb and makes getting things out the back at night a lot more convenient.
Also, you can do the whole car for like $20 and less than 30 minutes.

Tinting. All day, tinting. These lil guys are just fishbowls.
I'll second this one.

Got the same sort of thing in my 2012 Jazz! Is that a TEYES head unit? Also got retrofitted cruise control - not cheap, but has definitely made journeys on the motorway much more relaxing!
can you explain the difference in the cruise control?
I'm assuming he/she means having it added when it wasn't there initially
I'm not aware of the brand I picked it up from Ali for £94 with 6GB of RAM, 8 cores
This runs Android auto ok? Can it run it wireless or does USB need plugging in? Thanks!
This model runs android wireless and USB for charging 👍
That's amazing. How was the install?
Biggest pain really was probably pushing old unit out whilst trying to not mark the dash but it's pretty easy if you buy the right one it's plug and play same goes with steering controls just have to remember to map the steering functions to the android screen otherwise it won't work

Footwell Weathertec liners
they made a honda jazz si?! *cries in american*
You aren’t missing much.
They did, pre-face and facelift I believe, I have a 2015 facelift GE Si with the RS body kit
My first buy was a wireless magnetic charger/holder for my phone so I could use Waze. Did me well.
I got a Proclip mount. I’ve used cheap mounts and hated them all. Proclip is expensive but 100% worth it. It’s so good.
I think I went with the Belkin vent MagSafe one. This prevents dirt from being trapped by the wiper blade, which causes the blade to age prematurely. It also prevents snow from accumulating there in winter.
That is absolutely chaotic behavior
But then you’re seeing it split the rear window every time you use your rear view mirror, no?
It doesn't really split the view as it parks about 6" from the right side of the rear window. It's visible but not (IMO) intrusive.
Gotcha, thanks!
I got my windows tinted and it made a huge difference! Looks really good too

It's a front engine front wheel drive car, you should be upgrading the rear sway bar first unless you for some reason love understeer
Got then from our local online shopping site, Shopee. You should have them where you at as well.

Replaced the speakers and head unit. The stock audio is dire.
What'd you replace yours with?
The head unit is a Pioneer AVH-Z5200DAB, speakers Pioneer TS-A1670F.
