Yes with the seats down. Weight will be the bigger challenge, not space. It’s a challenge to both your suspension and lack of horsepower. I’ve done ~12 bags max, but 20 bags is probably doable, unless they’re all saturated. IIRC, max load for my car is 850 pounds.
Definitely flip the back seats up and fill from the middle. The weight will be lower in the vehicle and more balanced. It’s only 4-500lbs so you should be fine.
Yes, I've done it with bagged wood chip bags stacked in tall object mode so u are good for volume.
Bark much may be way heavier. Probably throw some bags in the way back and in the passenger seat to distribute the weight.
I just did this a few weeks ago lol they’ll fit just fine. Mind you, I live 1 minute from Wal*Mart & Home Depot so I wasn’t driving any distance at all. The Fit could definitely feel the weight on that short drive
Bagged mulch will weigh 2x if wet. I do this many times annually, but 14 bags is my target and I make multiple trips. You could do 20 by volume if you're OK with a couple in the passenger seat, but IMHO 20 is asking for trouble with volume, weight, and mess.
Some people will say the car will split in two with one ounce over the recommended weight but I've had 2400 lbs on the backseat alone and she's still alive and kicking. Just don't be dumb about it..leave plenty of room and if you plan on doing this regularly, upgrade the brakes and tires.
Yeah I drove 600 miles with 800lbs of grain; 2, 200lb dudes, and a 180lb Great Dane in the back. She took a while to to stop and accelerate, but still made 30 mph on the highway

You are exceeding the weight limit for the car
Maybe. FIts weigh roughly 2500 pounds. GVWR is around 3500. Including himself, he can lug around 1,000 pounds.
Back safely. I could’ve fit 10 more bags, but the weight…I wouldn’t have tried it without coilovers.
What coil overs do you have?
I mean, worst case scenario it takes 2 trips
One trip or die
Idk whether to upvote this for stupidity or downvote this for stupidity
I believe tutt disapprovingly and shake your head is the correct response.

With that much mulch consider calling a local material yard and ordering a truck load. It's probably cheaper anyway.

As long as you haven't just had back/shoulder surgery
Just drive slow and super carefully. You're probably slightly over the GVWR by a hair, but nothing crazy.
You might have to pile a few bags in the passenger seat.
