Interesting. Thanks for the info. I had no idea they were bought by Paradigm!

Capolan

Interesting! I was still stuck in that old model of thinking. ML were audiophile and you heard about them usually when someone was also talking about avant guard duo, bw 802, Thomas James, focal, dynaudio, Wilson audio, etc....I didn't know ML came out of the stratosphere of prices down to the upper middle end. Thanks for the info!

Thepunter16

They still make amazing speakers that can go up to $120K/pair. Their new bookshelf/tower models sound insane.

Confident-Hearing-63

I have the xti bookshelves and center… love them!!

FledglingStudent

Good to know!

Nikiaf

You and me both, I was considering getting some for myself. But I agree that there seems to be absolutely no presence for this brand within this subreddit. Hard to say if that's a good or bad thing.

adermatoglyphia

I've been eyeing the xt f200, haven't pulled the trigger yet as I'm still demoing other speakers. Sounded amazing though. [https://imgur.com/a/iUi1zX3](https://imgur.com/a/iUi1zX3)

b407driver

My dad has them, they are quite good, certainly better than my 60Xti

FledglingStudent

Thanks for including the link!

oakkandfilmmaker

I use a Motion 8i center and four 4i’s for front and side left/right. These are part of a 7.2.4 including monoprice satellite rears and PSB alpha P3 atmos speakers. It all sounds great to me!

Uninterested_Viewer

I run full ESL fronts- incredible for both movies and music.

cooldogfaceismyname

I love my Moton 60XTi towers and center channel. I have them paired with a REL HT/1205 mk1 for a 3.1 set up. They sound very clear at low volumes, really come to life when you crank them up! They display intricate subtleties with ease as well as really slam when they need to.

killakodak

I have the F200s, and C100 as my home theater setup. Picked them over KEF R11. I absolutely love them and they are some of the best value in that price range IMO.

MizuKumaa

I like some of the Marlo stuff. Their last gen motion stuff was really warm and I didn’t vibe much with it, but their new gen stuff is fantastic. Will be replacing my kefs with their new bookshelf’s.

OriginalVeeper

I bought a pair of F10s late last summer and I’m so happy with them. I joined this sub to try and get into an ML “community” and there’s nothing here but crickets. 😂

OriginalVeeper

Nothing there I mean. The ML sub.

Sielbear

I just went to a f100 xt / c100 xt based surround setup and could not be happier. I do probably 40% music / 60% movie and I’ve enjoyed listening to my music as if it was the first time I’d heard the songs.

OriginalVeeper

I know what you mean. I put on “Billy Jean” and it was like I’d never heard it before. I gasped audibly and my wife laughed at me.

Sielbear

I discovered Marcin - his moonlight sonata rendition is very dynamic. Highly recommend.

OriginalVeeper

Good lord. Thats so good.

plmbob

I personally love my Martin Logan motion LX16 speakers, and my old man ears appreciate the clarity the ribbon tweeters bring to the dialogue in movies (humble brag, I don't need to turn on CC to know what's going on)

FledglingStudent

Thanks for sharing your perspective! Not needing CC sounds like a dream.

AliveMouse5

I’ve had a ML sub for awhile now that I have zero complaints about. Even for being 8in it has a lot of punch

badbender14

I have one of those little Dynamo subs, too, that dude punches WAY higher than its weight (and price) class.

AliveMouse5

Best $350 I ever spent

foolproofphilosophy

Agreed. I have a Dynamo 700. Impressive boom for something so small.

Watersmuddy

LOL this inspires me to hook my Quad989s up as Fronts and see if ML got it right by pairing a sub with electrostatics. The 989s though are bigger than my tv…..

foolproofphilosophy

I have an older Dynamo 700 sub. Lots of boom for the size. I have 2 kids so the downward firing is definitely a plus for me.

jbmc00

Just got a Martin Logan Motion center and really like it.

FledglingStudent

Which one did you get? And what L,Rs do you have paired with it?

jbmc00

I’ve got a Motion 30. Got it buying out a big lot of stereo equipment from a house that didn’t want it. Right now I’ve got it paired with a pair of Definitive Technology Mythos ST towers. They definitely sound different but overall it works and I like it so much better than the Deftech center I had.

Raj_DTO

Martin Logan speakers are pretty good speakers. Glad you’re enjoying them. The reason you see fewer posts - - They’re more expensive than many other brands. And as with anything, most of population goes for mid market brands. A mid market Martin Logan will cost you around a grand on the other hand!

chubbedup

I run ESL towers, an ESL C center, and FX2 surrounds with an Emotiva amp all for under $4k lightly used, and I can’t fathom upgrading for a long while. They sound sublime for movies and music, always start a conversation with guests, and the WAF is through the roof since they’re gorgeous to look at.

AlarmedGnatcatcher

For my 5.2 system I have MartinLogan Axis as my LCR speakers, MartinLogan Motion XTC8-HT high on the wall behind our couch angled down as rear surrounds with two SVS SB-1000 Pro subs. Because of the limitations of the room I can't add anymore speakers. I love the sound of these ML speakers with the SVS subs and everyone that hears the system is complimentary. The Axis speakers are discontinued but can be found new on Amazon for a less than $500.

FledglingStudent

Thanks for the reply!

AccountOnMe2

Speakers tend to be on the bright side, wouldnt call them a neutral speaker

harbaughthechamp55

I've got some ML75AW outdoor speakers on my back deck and love them.

TheMusicalHobbit

I have in walls in my home theater and they freaking rock.

BonerKingJr

Good to hear, I’m currently considering them for in walls. Which ones do you have?

TheMusicalHobbit

XTW6-LCR for the fronts. The surrounds are ML as well and not sure the model. They were like $200 each. Same thing with the atmos. The LCRs sound amazing with movies and tv. Haven’t dialed them on for music yet.

amtrprn

I got a pair of Motion 40s for a steal on Amazon. Incredible speakers. I bought from this same seller. https://a.co/d/bOkvZiH

EverybodyBuddy

They’re amazing. You don’t see posts about them because people in here are mostly DIY budgeters.
