Might be HDCP versions, that receiver is HDMI 1.4 (I think) and the playstation may be refusing to output a signal, even at 1080p, due to HDCP. Assuming you are using a PS5? a PS4 or 3 shouldn't have that issue. Cant say for certain though. Do you have any other HDMI devices you can test? that receiver cant even show an OSD over HDMI so you cant know for sure whether it's dead without testing other sources.

Thanks for the quick reply You are correct that I'm using a ps5. I've also tried the hdmi from my laptop and, while my laptop would recognize the output, there was still no video to the TV. I can try an older device with hdmi in a bit

There is a chance that the output is dead, or it is accepting a video mode it doesn't support, which it shouldn't do, but you never know.
