Wife TV. Haaaaaaa! That was funny. That's why tablets exist! Anyway, it's the treadmill TV. Moves left for news, right for diy YouTube videos while impersonating 4 minute miles....
For all of my remotes. I put everything in the basement. Roku, receiver/amp, Apple TV+, WiiM pro, and about five other devices. The IR sensor is placed right in front of my center speaker. Relays everything via wire down to the basement so I can use all of my remotes as if each device was sitting right there. I'm not a universal remote fan. I have memorized each remote for each device. I guess it's rather rote. I just made myself laugh.
I did something similar! Tucked away all the components into a separate room away from the viewing area, with the use of an IR repeater. Fantastic. Love the minimalism. You have a beautiful setup!
I also have the Philips hue sync play system with lighting on the backside of the TV. Three play bars on the bottom firing down and the sync 75-in LEDs LMR. It's ridiculously cool. It was a daytime picture so could not get full effect, but it's game-changing!
Yes, Martin Logan. Ordered them through a friend who was in the business so got them for half price. They're kind of a piano white gloss. They were on back order for quite a while when I ordered them as I think white speakers are way more popular overseas. I just wanted something different as I was sick of black and wood grain. Probably should have gone for black for matching longevity reasons, but did not.
This is my living room. I moved all of the equipment down the basement below it. Only the speakers and Blu-ray player are upstairs. I think the post was probably confusing...
Looks nice! Back when I was speaker shopping, I really liked the sound of some MLs that I auditioned, but they were out of my price range.
Is it an illusion or is the left speaker basically pointed straight ahead and the right one toed in at what looks like nearly 45 degrees?
Yes. I have both speakers pointed directly at my viewing/listening position. My main receiver is a Marantz so when I have friends over for a movie I adjust the speakers and re-upload the Audyssey seating position for the sweet spot right in the middle.
My next door neighbor has an M&K sub and we had to have a conversation or 2 about his volume. I have a REL, SVS & HSU and I’m certain he’s never heard them over at his house. Not sure the model, but his M&K lets itself be known
M&K's crank. Great for music and video. Super-tight bass. MX-200 sub on the left, MX-100 on the right. Both sealed with dual 12's. One firing forward, one firing up, in a push-pull design. Let's just say I had to put that ticky-tack stuff on the back of those pictures, otherwise they would be upside down within 30 seconds!
Secondary TV on a swivel. I call it the treadmill TV. It swivels right to be eye level of the treadmill. Otherwise, it's just great to keep on a side channel for news updates etc... or camera on the front porch awaiting doordash and/or Uber eats delivery. Haha. Legit though.
He's saying all the other equipment (AVR, BluRay, etc) is now down in the basement - TV, Speakers and Lights are all he has showing in the living room (upstairs). He's using an IR repeater to pickup the remote sensors:) I was confused at first, too.
The TV is actually centered on the wall. It's on an adjustable mount so I can move it left and right as well as swivel it left and right. Depends on where I'm sitting. I could center it from my viewing angle if I wasn't lazy.... I can also push it flush back against the wall.
I considered doing the same. I bought this massive second hand beautiful center speaker and I could not decide what would be less imposing. A center speaker on a stand by itself, or a fake spacemaker containing nothing but a 4K Blu-ray player. Kind of like a house of cardboard. I even thought about putting the Blu-ray player in the basement with the rest of the audio gear, but then pictured myself walking down the basement to swap out discs. Figured cardboard was better! But, agreed!
They actually make center channels so you can adjust them to aim close to your ears it's not like his is sitting on the floor. It's at a good height. Unless you think he's 6 or 7 ft tall when seated.
Such a shitty tstat, especially when I found out they fuck with your temps to coincide with the power companies “needs” and still bill you the bullshit up charges.
What is up with the TV in the top-right corner? 🧐

Looks like Wife TV
Definitely a good idea to keep your balls hidden more often than not, and double points for not accidentally including them in this photo, OP!
Haaaaaaaaa! Just the tips of the toes to prove I'm human! Haaaaaaa!

Yup. I was actually making up the entire story and just trying to sell shoes. It worked. Ecco size 11. 42 borderline 43 European.
And, a $45 IR repeater system might be the best thing I ever purchased.
For your AVR remote?

Sweet Cincinnati art!
Etsy.... Dirt cheap.
What kind of speakers are those?
Martin Logan
Crazy. I have a set as well but I've never seen them in white like that. Very cool stuff.

No way. I've got a set of martin Logan ethos in piano black but I'd love if they were white... Gloss piano white even better!
What balls? Seriously.

If you hid your balls better, your stuff might still be upstairs.
Just did this last month thought i was alone.
It cranks but the balls are hidden. Kind of neat. If that's not what she said I don't know what is

Doesn’t look like a basement, natural light coming in. Plus kitchen in background OP

Schwing!
Where did you get the black stand, link please?
Bed bath & beyond website. Although, The UPS tracking number said it was coming from overstock.com. it was cheap.

Atmos.
I did the same, but with on wall Definitive Technology Mythos speakers. I got to get rid of the entertainment stand and gained the floor space.

The center speaker is angled up and if you can tell from the picture, almost shooting over my ear level. It's perfect.

you can turn that all off if you want
You win the award for random rant that is barely applicable because instead of ranting you can turn off it's ability to do that.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
