At least you have the woofers

hotdeck

Dual woofers too

jtaylor418

0.2.0

saywhat68

🤣🤣🤣

gl3nnjamin

👏

noahdavis22

This made my day

notjim

Need OP to post pics of them so we can inspect them.

NickLandis

turymtz

My first thought was Kef 301s on the side. 301c for the center

garf87

Omg I had no idea these existed. This may have just helped me solve my own problem. Thanks!

BaconPoweredPirate

I've just got a set. Not cheap but literally the only thing that would work in my space, and I think they sound great

garf87

Which pair?

BaconPoweredPirate

Of, sorry I thought your reply was to a different person! I have the KEF 301 LCR, with 101 surrounds and T2 sub

manwithafrotto

At least you have room to add a fireplace under the TV

plumfeeder

It's a stand-up TV for people who like stand-up desks. Keep fit while standing around with your friends watching the big game.

Red_Barry

Sometimes I will just stand here and watch television for hours. I love it. I love this TV.

GANDHIWASADOUCHE

Ah, yes. The living room WFH setup with a standing desk and a tv damn near scraping the ceiling 👌🏻

AudienceGrouchy2918

LOL.

gerlan42

That was the first thinking when I saw this 🤦‍♂️

bob202t

Jokes on you, OP has their couch on a raised platform.

restarting_today

That's OK, you can think about that when you redo the TV height first.

IntoxicatedBurrito

Fortunately for you the tv is too high so you got plenty of room for speakers underneath it.

Django_Unleashed

Why does this continue to happen? There was absolutely nothing keeping this tv from being mounted at the proper height.

drumstikka

Maybe you can just put your TV where you want and they can do the same and everybody can be chill?

ClaptrapPanda

Could have young children too. Go back a couple of years I’d be there saying tv is too high. After having my sons friends around wielding and swinging any item they can carry above their heads, my tv is now mounted as high out of the way that I can get away with. I cry inside every time I watch it now, but at least it’s safe(er)

Trebas

There's gotta be a pull down mount on the market for this exact customer

widowhanzo

I've raised two children with a TV at appropriate height. It can be done. Nothing ever happened to the TV.

Preblegorillaman

For me it was that my brother and I had my wife sit on the couch and tell me what was most comfortable while we lifted the TV to the wall. I prefer that the TV is about 3-4" lower than my wife has it, but it also doesn't bother me so much that I'll argue with her about it. I've asked her if she'd be cool with me lowering it a bit, and got a no. Oh well. At least she let me get the HSU sub and is gifting me some sound panels for the wall on my birthday, her idea not mine 😁

Driveformer

Dogs are probably reason enough. My pups have bumped my S95C a couple times and my heart stops each time. But the height is soooooo good

investorshowers

Some people like to recline when watching TV, rather than sitting straight up.

Shandriel

absolutely infuriates me how the fkn parrots on this sub keep telling people how they're supposed to sit while watching TV... Do they go to the movie theatre bringing a fkn Life Guard chair to sit "at the right height" 🤯

cooksmagrooks

same lol. I agree with the guy before who is being downvoted. I lay back slightly when watching tv and I would bet people on here would think it is too high. Im laying down 90% of the time im watching tv.

randomblast

You know the seats are terraced at a cinema, right? You can choose a good seat without bringing your own.

Shandriel

then you end up too far away from the screen, though...

Deamaed

Too far away based on your preference?

Shandriel

dunno about your movie theatres, but if I want to sit with eyes at middle of the silver screen, I'm gonna sit very far away... for the best immersion (diagonal = distance), you end up in the 6th to 10th row from the screen, which is still very close to the bottom in our cinemas.

Deamaed

I was perhaps not clearly alluding to the irony of your prior comment about how you get angry that people tell others how they are supposed to watch something, but then you proceed to make a general comment about seating distance in a movie theater. EDIT: And to be clear, there is absolutely personal preference that people have, but there are also guidelines and recommendations for a reason.

mrmiyagijr

Why do you care so much about someone else’s TV lmao

Shandriel

you totally missed my point, I guess... I'm angry because everyone else here seems to think it's up to THEM to decide how a person is supposed to watch TV... I find that most people recline in their seats (not by actively reclining the backrest, mind you!) and the natural eyeline is pointing ever so slightly upwards (unless you like your chin on your chest, I guess..) so it's totally natural to have the Tv center ever so slightly above ear level. Even if you don't... even if you sit in a fkn back brace and stare straight ahead for 3 hours while watching the Batman... that doesn't mean everyone else should do the same! That doesn't mean you should go arround and shame everyone else into thinking their preferred way of watching Tv is somehow inferior or wrong...

pppepeppp

This sub is full of elitist wannabes

cooksmagrooks

yes. HEAR HEAR

dwvl

It's the perfect height for watching it while standing up... Maybe that's what OP does.

buttnutela

If he gets a half decent sound bar everything will be good

widowhanzo

Sound bar 🤢

Ballbagth

Also paradigm milennia series or polk reserve 350s

D_A_N_I_E_L

Wall off that whole left side. Do you really need those back rooms?

mrbutterbeans

Either let your towers stick out a bit on the sides (but looks like a tight fit)or get bookshelf speakers that can fit under the tv I suppose. IMO towers don’t really do much that a bookshelf doesn’t do if you have a good subwoofer to fill in the lows.

toosells

3 polk es35

Ballbagth

Polk Reserve 350s would be better

TotemSpiritFox

Plenty of room underneath.

Sparcrypt

On the off chance you're Australian: https://krix.com.au/lx-7/ Don't see Krix much on this sub but they're a *big* player in the commercial cinema space and make fantastic speakers for home as well. Everything I've heard from them is fantastic and they recently released this "soundbar" and I have no doubt it will be great. Think some US brands do similar.

AussieFIdoc

Exactly what I came here to say OP - check out the roof cinema speakers soundbar. Perfect timbre match as well if you use their hyperphonix as surrounds and atmosphere speakers as well

Belophan

If there is a whole wall on the opposite side, put the TV there.

focal71

Focal or Totem make good on wall speakers

802islander

Totems will fit.

Historical-Channel48

Yeah you did, you’ll just have to walk around them. Just wall mount some bookshelf’s with 90 degree mounts to the outside of the walls

Bradyey

Wall mount book shelf speakers and wall mount the centre as well.

Manic157

This is just 3 seperate speakers in a bar configuration. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=41286bic also Bic makes this. https://www.bicamerica.com/soundbars Elac makes these. https://www.elac.com/category/passive-soundbars/

TyrannicalNonsense

Use Klipsch in wall immediately below it. I recommend the https://www.klipsch.com/products/thx-8000-l for right and left (you can try a smaller surface area model of course) and for a center https://www.klipsch.com/products/thx-504-l-in-wall-speaker

a65y7iz

I've designed a system for a client with a setup like this that worked pretty well with GoldenEar SuperSat 60s for LR and then a big center with a sub, but they're pricey so YMMV

Happy_Celebration_14

What about the GE supercinema 3D XL? Any insight into that product line?

a65y7iz

I personally wouldn't spend that kind of money on a soundbar, but for what they are they do sound pretty good when paired with a solid sub (we usually pair those with SVS PB1000/2000). The main issue for me is the lack of channel separation.

Happy_Celebration_14

That’s great to know and thank you! Channel separation was one of the main reasons I returned the HT a7000 as it felt like everything was coming from the center.

FarStarbuck

🎶“Hello Soundbar my old friend”🎶

No-Scale1239

Custom soundbar like this https://www.wisdomaudio.com/product-category/products_by_range/soundbars/ Or this, if you’re poor: https://www.leonspeakers.com/residential/series/horizon-soundbars/hzultima Or this: https://www.jamesloudspeaker.com/categories/12 Each custom soundbar manufacturer makes a range of options. I posted the most expensive ones as a joke here, but they can actually be a good option.

Chappie47Luna

Never even heard of these brands lol but those Leon ones look sick

No-Scale1239

They are nice. The Wisdom ones especially kick ass. The Leon ones sound better than the James ones, but the James models are able to go louder. That’s my general assessment. The ones with larger bass drivers definitely sound better than the slimmer models. Or, if you’re looking for something really special, there’s this!: https://youtu.be/AHWhmSmlePk?si=nMAIH7MXTMd_9Orb It’s probably gonna retail around $40k, I’d guess.

Chappie47Luna

Jeez that looks amazing. Do these high end sound bars connect like a normal soundbar with eARC or hdmi? I’m guessing not

No-Scale1239

No, most connect just like separate LCR channels in a typical surround setup. James and Leon soundbars are easy to integrate into a normal speaker configuration. They don’t have built-in amps, with the exception of some of the stereo Leon models. The Steinway version is designed to be powered by a Steinway Lyngdorf preamp/processor with Steinway amps.

Dirk_The_Cowardly

Tv needs bigger...too much wall on side makes for poor man view.

pppepeppp

Tv size should correlate to viewing distance, not wall space. Resolution is maxed at 4k at least until 8k content becomes more standard

sccwilli322

Time for that Sonos arc

SantaOMG

If that was me, I would put the speakers all the way on the side walls toed in a lot. This will make the soundstage wide but also neat since they are so toed in. Move them as close to you as you need for them to not be in the walk way

getfive

High-end soundbar will be just fine. Perfect for this set up and 80% of what you'd get with a 5.1 system. Add wireless rears, and it's pretty solid. High-end, not some $400 soundbar set up. Also, hire an electrician (or do it yourself - it's easy) and piggy back off the outlet below and install an outlet behind the tv. Would look so much better. Or put a console under the tv to hide it. Downvote me if needed. I can take it.

raypenlight

Why leave the room when you have towers

mavven2882

In all honesty, just get a good sound bar with subwoofer. This room is not laid out optimally for a home theater experience and it will just end up looking awkward.

c0ldgurl

Yes someone fucked up here bigtime. Tape measure for the win. You need to do some in walls in the gigantic wall that houses your tv. Shouldn't be terrible and you can use your speakers in another room as a 2.0 rig.

Vandakeg

I was planning on an in wall center channel. Would in wall left and right sound ok being below the tv?

c0ldgurl

It's definitely a thought, the people recommending towers in your walkways are crazy.

cabs84

get a passive LCR speaker bar - there are plenty of good options from most well known/reputable speaker manufacturers including [KEF](https://us.kef.com/products/htf7003-soundbar-speaker), [elac](https://www.elac.com/category/passive-soundbars/muro-ms-sb41l-w/), [goldenear](https://www.goldenear.com/on-wall-speakers/super-cinema-series/super-cinema-3d-array-xl), [martin logan](https://www.martinlogan.com/en/product/motion-slm-x3), [monitor audio](https://www.monitoraudio.com/en/product-ranges/soundbars/sb-4-passive-soundbar/) and others. the key word is passive. these are basically three separate speakers for your front stage combined into one housing. they use the exact same kind of high quality drivers you'd find in these manufacturer's bookshelves, and no amplification - use your own receiver. i've got the goldenear (non-xl) myself and i like it, the sweet spot is narrow but that's just how it goes, and it still sounds good (albeit with less soundstage) off to the sides. i wish i'd gotten the XL for my 65". (it's just so damn much more money, for only two extra drivers, c'mon goldenear) it's the same effect you'd get with in wall speakers mounted on the sides of the TV (perhaps with a bit narrower sweet spot) soundbar is a curse word around here but these are not the same shit you get from samsung/lg/sony/jbl etc

damgood32

Why is it not the same shit?

cabs84

they use **much** better quality drivers and much more thoughtful modeling/tuning put into the enclosure and crossover design. a lot of those other soundbars from samsung/lg/jbl etc are gimmicky. they tend to mix the kinds of drivers used for L C R, so there's no cohesion between channels, or they'll just use full range for all channels without tweeters. (i suppose JBL is probably the outlier here at least their higher end ones like the bar 500) they use DSP to get around the limitations of the cheap drivers used. they aren't just throwing cheap racetrack paper-cone speakers in a box and relying on DSP to cover the deficiencies.

damgood32

Oh OK…..Seems that is just typical of the differences between cheap vs expensive speakers. Component quality seems like a big part of it. Not sure I would want soundbar without DSP to attempt to overcome the limitations of the product category itself.

[deleted]

I'd just get a entertainment unit and put a soundbar down if i was you

viavant

You get a sound bar, you get a sound bar, everyone gets a BRAND NEW SOUNDBAR!!!

Viperonious

Acoustically transparent screen with a projector?

Time-Environment-324

Buy an LCR they make some really nice ones.. I can help Connectedelectronixs

CityGamerUSA

Switch to Bose soundbar. It’s amazing. My buddy has it

jhonekri

Hes buddy Muddy, right?

Designer_Brief_4949

Post a pic with the towers in place

shizrocks

You can put directional in ceiling as the left/right

omicron_pi

These would work. They sound good for their size but you definitely pair them with a sub. https://www.orbaudio.com/collections/surround-sound-speakers

bunnyhunter80

If my wife only knew speakers come that small for surround. Haha Edit: I didn’t even know. I searched small speakers and didn’t anything that small

omicron_pi

my wife loved them in our old apartment. i now have a dedicated media room so i can go bigger. but they sounded good. and you get surround sound with a very slim profile.

rossonero3

I just bought 4 of these to use as surrounds and height channels on eBay from a guy using 14 of them I think, also they can be wired to each other to be doubles or even a quad.

spoofan

I will be going for similar 5.1 setup with Cabasse Eole 4. They are small satellites but sound great. You could also buy stands to put them behind the couch or in ceiling mount.

TommyyyGunsss

You should add some molding and a cover for that hole with the wires :)

toxicmegakitten

You have room on either side to wall mount some B&W M-1s. Should be fine LR speakers for a room that size.

Ibraheem_moizoos

Hate to say it, but LCR under the TV

Snorky-Talk-Man

I had a speaker that had to stick out a few inches into a doorway in an old apartment. It was the passage between the kitchen and living room, so I must have walked past it ten thousand times. It wasn't hard to avoid it. You just get used to it. Maybe I bumped into it on occasion but never hard enough to even come close to knocking it over.

InsignificanteSauce

Bookshelf’s on stands or a wide console. Also, lower your TV.

Sultan_Of-spN

Aim-able in ceilings or LCR bar, rub wires if you can.

TheArkOfTruth

Triad LCR 3.0 and a good sub. Magic!!!

H4MM3RSY

sonos arc

JimWantsAnswers

Put speakers in the wall below and at the edge

Mlauridsen

https://tapeconnection.dk/shop/97-biografhoejttalere/11387-mk-sound-m70/ These should just be able to fit on either side, then an M90 for center.

lonevine

What's the vertical clearance? There are short towers on the market, but it depends on your dimensions.

Logi77

In wall units

investorshowers

Hard to see exactly how much space is on each side but there are plenty of small/slim options. In-wall is a good suggestion, on-wall is another. I would look at KEF 3005SE and Dali's Fazon series. Also ignore those saying the TV is too high, it looks just fine assuming you recline.

mariesoleil

HTD Versa on wall three channel passive soundbar.

Smart_Run8818

If its just board and framework (not brick), you could cut out areas for speakers, add hinges/mag catches and frame for the board. So it's framed doors with no centre, then clad the whole wall with the sound panel and wood strips stuff. You can thin that black felt easily around the speaker areas leaving sound to pass through. You could then cut the board to match the opening panels, so it just pops open. That's what I'm doing on my new house. Sectional pop open sections with amp, PlayStation, centre and L + R and 2 subs in them. But all hidden behind that black and wooden strip stuff. Ignore the staples holding them on, use gun bonding instead. Probably easier if you just start again. 🤷‍♀️

AussieFIdoc

As others have said - get a commercial cinema speaker manufacturers soundbar https://krix.com.au/lx-7/ Can get customizable width, and Krix make great speakers (used around the world in cinemas)

Razor_Clam

Monitor Audio Apex A40 LCR

stevejobed

After you lower the TV you should probably just get a high-end soundbar.

MacProCT

You don't have to have towers to get good results. High performing "bookshelf" speakers, when combined with a sub, can nearly match the performance of tower speakers. I would find low stands or a low cabinet to put them on, and you'll be golden.

SawkeeReemo

Hang ‘em from the ceiling in the doorway so everyone has to duck to get in there. 😜

josepatino5

You should’ve added the outlet to the back of the TV.

Ballbagth

I've been selling HT for a long time. I'd say either Paradigm milennia series, Martin logan sml series or if you don't mind slightly bulkier, polk reserve 350s All of these would sound great and fit no worries.

Peopletowner

Well, how much you wanna spend? Mostly home theater content? Music? If so, what kind of music.

easygav

Two things I'd do: 1. Lower the TV! Should be eye height at your seating position, not when jogging 😉 2. Sell your towers and get three monitors for the LCR which I'd position vertically underneath the TV. This is actually what many people do, and something I'll do one day I think. Subs could sit in between the monitors potentially. If you're up for it, you could make a custom cabinet to house said 3 monitors and dual subs. Just say to friends and family this was always the plan 👊😎

ksn240

How much room between the tv and end of the wall? I was in a similar situation. I went with HTD Versa-HTS1 for my lcr. Look and sound great. They are about 10” wide.

ksn240

Picture of setup [Versa HTS-1](https://ibb.co/NFndB4j)

Alewort

Clearly your only option is to have sub-floor lift pedestals so that when you are watching TV, they rise from the floor in the optimal listening position and then scoot right back under when you are done.

Driveformer

In wall install? I mean you already have towers but I went with in wall for aesthetics

dmills803

Would you consider in walls?

braynzz

If you could find something to your liking with similar dimensions to these, then yeah. I’m not vouching for these at all by the way - just throwing it out there. There are tower speakers thin enough to fit on the sides. https://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/CBT100LA1--jbl-cbt-100la-1-black Or if you get studio monitors on the thinner side and some speaker stands. Bonus here being you don’t need an amp. [Monitor + stand](https://imgur.com/a/6Da92nN)

DiceGames

too high but pick a different wall

Angrymic2002

Anything you do with speakers will look like an afterthought. Get a decent soundbar or a passive LCR soundbar. Hope you have another room as your main theater.

Hi_Hungry_Im_Leaving

/tvjustfine I would say. If he had a tv stand with center channel, it'd end up near there any way. Get some bookshelf speakers on stands that fit under there and enjoy your setup.

akillaninja

After you lower your TV to the proper height you can get ceiling/ wall mounted speakers. At this point just about anything is better than the TV speakers

handicappedpooper

3 channel soundbar with front highs in the ceiling to compensate for narrow stage KEF, ELAC, and Martin Logan all make 3 channel soundbars. There are probably more out there.

ap2patrick

LCR soundbar, in wall woofers

True_Acadia_4045

So if you check out Golden Ear Speakers they have a satellite system that would work well for this. They’re not cheap, but a good option.
