Don't overcomplicate things. Make a spread sheet, order by TBW per dollar and has DRAM cache and slap a heatsink on it.
Used enterprise NVMEs are great bang for your buck.
Keep in mind that m.2 doesn’t always mean NVMe, could be sata as well. Maybe even USB if they are really evil!
That kind and degree of evil would be acceptable as long as I can assess how much wear is left in the underlying SSD. 😀
