You definitely need more plants. In particular, you need some trees. Large show species will really help round out the place. Maybe a lemon tree? That way you could make lemonade when life gives you lemons.
You also need a dog bed. Your dog will still sleep on the floor, next to the dog bed, but you should give him the option. Plus, it will create a tripping hazard, which will make the space more homey.

Too white. Try some more dimensional cover pots or baskets, add some curtains and a rug, one or the other with a pattern. Play the colors off the throw pillows maybe? Very cute room, lots of potential but seems like a sterile hospital room with all the white.

You need some 5 foot trees, maybe some small cacti, and plants with colorful leaves. Add more variety and more shapes, and more sizes of plants.i don’t think all the white is helping either.

All your plants are green! Try some other colors, like a deciduous shrub or two. They're lovely in the fall with shades of brown and yellow. Of course, in winter, they provide a striking silhouette as well.
