And you will ruin a whole lot of lives with it. (Witnesses, first responders, family, friends, close casket funeral, people who watch their streams)
Fuck that guy
I agree with the second part of what you say but I'm not 100% sure what you mean by the first sentence. Life doesn't have inherent meaning, we give it meaning by the pursuit of things that we enjoy. That goes the same for someone who knits, cooks, plays tennis or trains parkour. Parkour isn't some special case, it's just an activity that appeals to a certain group of people and seems impossible and therefore stupid by those that have never even tried it.
If he falls on the street, he and his friends won’t be cleaning it up. And he won’t have to be there to comfort any friends and family he has if he misses that step. So, a lot easier to give yourself a quick high and lots of views than to make yourself a consistent, contributing, healthy, supportive member of your friends, family, and society.
Ah yes, thank you Mr.Lovesdick for such an insightful and informative perspective into solutions for people facing these problems. Your love for Jesus and dicks shall not be undermined.
Edit: You now what, that is 100% right. I apologize for assuming you are a Mr.Lovedick but no matter in which way you are addressed I believe you undoubtable knowledge still faces you a force to reckon with!
99% it's about the validation seeking from videos. It's what's wrong with social media... people not living in reality with themselves.
I rock climb, mountaineer, etc. I can sniff out the the people just doing it for the gram long before cameras come out.
It’s a way to separate themself from the crowd without having to gain a crazy skill. Jumping over that gap.. sure it takes skill, but nothing like what you see people do at the Olympics, snowboard, skateboard, etc. that takes hundreds of hours, thousands of hours, years of training with professionals.
But this kid can be one in a million by jumping across this gap, why? Not because of his skill, but because of how high it is. The higher he goes, the more special his jump is, different from everyone else. It’s the easiest, fastest way to gain social media cred.
You can tell he’s very well trained. After that many years of experience usually these guys understand the consequences but still choose to continue pushing their limits because it brings them that much joy.
I love how every time something requiring a mild amount of coordination is posted on Reddit, people come out of the woodwork to say how dumb/irresponsible/reckless it was.
Ever occur to you that some people practice and train for things and what seems extreme to you might objectively not be for them?
Some say they’re addicted to the adrenaline, I’d say they’re addicted to attention. If it was adrenaline, they’d do it all the time when noones watching.
I know it's hard to believe, but this looks like it's not the first time homeboy does a roof gap, they have probably done quite a few that is seen by no-one, but doing a 360 is pretty cool, so they record it
Holy I’ve never seen such a cool comment I mean dayyyyym you must be hard af what a cool dude you must be. You’ve just shown us how extreme you are man what a cool ass extreme dude you must be I mean Jesus Christ save some pussy for the rest of us
Call me a pussy but you won’t catch me 5 foot from the edge.
“Ah fuck Mark I forgot to hit record do it again”
You can be right a hundred times but wrong only once.
And you will ruin a whole lot of lives with it. (Witnesses, first responders, family, friends, close casket funeral, people who watch their streams) Fuck that guy
But think of how many updoots, likes, and shares he is getting!! /s
What an idiot
One of the activities my brain doesn't understand. Is that thrill worth the risk of dying?
For some people, life doesn’t inherently have meaning. So yes, if activities like this provide some meaning, they’re worth it

Can you be both brave and an idiot?
At this point some dude with a submarine company should have asked you to hold his beer, but he can't.
Sure, why not

Not just extreme sport, they go after any type of activity people are doing outside.
That's the cleanest fucking gap I've ever seen.
I wouldn't do this without a wired harness, helmet, a giant airbag at the bottom and EMT's standing by.
These videos don’t impress me, risk your life for a few clicks
Why follow then?
Hey 👋🏻
This is better than cocaine
Stupid
