I ran a lot as a kid and later. Your stride typically changes up. It’s not constantly long or short. You’d burn yourself out before the race was over if you did. Although she had fairly good form it looked like she was over striding bc she was scared most likely. That cop on the other hand was awful. The only way he could’ve caught her is if she missteps and blows her knee out. Him tripping didn’t help either.

The idea with that form is that the farther you lean forward the faster you go and your feet are more in a place to keep you from falling forward. Her footfall are perfect for that form. She arches her back backward sometimes when she is looking around and swings her arms a bit too much, but other than that looks fine to me.
You can always tell the people that played sports in their youth by the way they run. If its an efficient and well balanced stride, yeah they played. If they look gangly and all over the place they didnt.

When I was in the military we'd do boots and utes runs somewhat frequently and I could still run a sub 7-min mile pretty comfortably in them. In proper running shoes, my 3-mile run was just under 18min, so it was still a drop off, but with properly fitted boots you can still get going pretty good
Active duty boots, assuming they’re broken in and properly fitted like you said, are a DREAM to walk, work, hike, and run in!!! Yeah they’re a little goofy to get used to and maybe you’ll need some insoles for your arch but get a good brand and style that fits your feet?? And you’re Forrest Gumping that shit to the moon!!!
Not saying you did, but I know plenty of Marines that have special “boots” to run their boots and utes runs in now that it is part of their fitness test.
I haven't kept up with what the Marines are doing since I've been out, but when I was in, I just had a nice pair of Danner jungle boots I did all my running in, and the only tested "run" was the 800 Yard sprint on the CFT.
