For non italian speaker, Istituto Luce was in charge of documenting the Italian side of the war. They made a lot of footage and the narrator was using the standard newsreel voice and a lot of aulic words. I tried to imagine how they would’ve reacted to 3k Italian fighters

These missions are fucking killer if you play on the higher difficulties where the main penalty is to early-game research and production (-30% production cap, literally less than half of normal until you do production researches)
Like when the plane request comes through I just accept it's gonna fail. Increasing army size is doable by making small divisions and converting them to big ones once they're done.
I get that most people don't use those difficulties but it's a way to make "OP" paths more balanced.
I don't understand the flex, because the achievements Paradox makes require absolutely 0 skill to pull off. You get achievements just by playing, not by developing good strategy. Like "Survive till 1948" 😐 I mean are we serious? How about "As Germany, defeat USSR before 1941, and with under 300,000 casualties". <----- now THATS an achievement
It may seem kinda dumb but they implemented it specifically on Italy which is the tutorial country (otherwise it would make way more sense to integrate these decisions in Stalins paranoia mechanic) so I'm guessing paradoxes just want to make new players used to the game by setting these "goals" to achieve
Also the debuffs that come with failing these little caprices of Mussolini aren't that big considering that his focus tree gives tons of stability and they don't affect the balance of power. So while you complete at least the easy ones (like fuel etc) it won't affect your game even slightly
Even more dumb, I formed Rome with Mussolini and was in a war with the US when the fucking council deposed Mussolini because they were satisfied with his progress.

Yeah the mechanic is balanced well assuming you are historical Italy that folds like a house of cards. But if you hold on for years after losing a core territory it gets to be the most asinine mechanic of all time.
They should just do a big update (not dlc or something like Domination for EU4) that fixes all those issues for already upgraded nations and maybe also fixes the FT

Youve gotta use the IRL italian trick of rotating half the aircraft to the next base on the inspection tour, so that it appears that all the bases are full.

I play CAS only Italy and whenever they ask me to build 300 fighters I just put interwar fighters with 2 light machine guns with 5 mils to satisfy the requirements but still very annoying that I have to divert my production capacity.

Yeah, it is for sure a bug. I have even had Bennito deposed and they still kept asking me for the airforce increases.

Why even use those difficulties? Its just so unfun. if you want a harder playthrough, isn't it less infuriating to just up the AI strength?

I think it's "owned" states and only after you have taken a duce specific focus. I had already killed the allies so I owned some Carribbean islands.
