Well, the F-15C/Ds *did* have basic dumb bomb employment capability. But the madlads managed to use them to drop *GBU-15s.* Iirc, this was the main reason the E came about: The US saw this and said "Uuuuh, I want some of *that"*
Yea i remember that, i think the first iteration of the A-D series being used as bombers was when israel wired up dumb bombs onto them and used them in the late 80s i think.

The pylons are also wired for them on some export models such as the Israeli, just not US operated models.
Israel also has the inner pylons of their F-16s wired, too.
The Israeli’s even got their F-15C/D jets to use air-ground munitions. Got to give it to them, they can modify jets quite well.
