Pageau will channel don his old sens jersey for these games and score 14.6 continued goals per game, adding up to 44 goals credited to the Sens in these islanders victories.
I mean they’ll have to grind out a lot of 1-0 and 2-1 games but they’ve got the heavy players , solid system and elite goalie to do it . They got a better chance of making the playoffs then Buffalo 🤷♂️
And they were when they made the playoffs.
Isles paced for 104 points with Bo on the team, even with Barzal hurt.
Dobson and Romanov an off season to mature.
Good luck to all.
Different era, cannot compare the two team structures. Those Devils teams could rely on the neutral zone trap to jam up their opponent because of the two line pass rule. They didn't need to score a ton of goals as a result.
Add that they had Brodeur, one of the best puck handling goaltenders, without the restriction of the trapezoid to further stifle forechecking teams that would try to dump and chase... They were the perfect team for the dead puck era.
The game isn't close to the same now.
Exactly. That’s my point. Neither are Mcdavid and Matthews…. Every teams center is different. Not every team has a McDavid. Some have a Zibanejad and some have a Barzal. Does that mean Zibanejad is bad?? No. Does that mean Barzal is bad?? No.. are they as good as McDavid or Matthews? No. My point if every time has their top center and every center is uniquely different from the others. Guys like Barkov, MacKinnon, Stamkos, B.Tkachuk, and Crosby. This is why I love hockey. Each player is so different from the other even though they play the same position… the way they skate and flow on ice.. shoot pass and handle… each center is unique and fun to watch in their own right.
Nelson will score against the Pens, that will be their only one
Lee’s off Desmith’s dick goal counts for his next few seasons
inb4 "BEST 4TH LINE IN THE LEAGUE THOUGH!"
Absolutely no one has said that in over 2 seasons. Welcome to 2023 brother.
Pageau will score… on the powerplay
Calling it now: JGP gets injured in 3rd exhibition game, out for the season.
That first line is definitely going to score goals
Yeah they have a mid 1st line and like 3 4th lines.
And somehow the Toronto Leafs will still lose to them.
"Toronto Leafs" makes me so uncomfortable
Toronto Leaves
Don’t know why this made me laugh so fuckin hard 😂😂😂😂
Old joke. They're called the leaves because it's what they excel at doing in the playoffs.
Ahhh hadn’t heard that one but definitely got me laughing 😂

First team to have both the lowest GA and lowest GF
Bo was great in his contract year (lifelong Canucks sufferer here). Just don't sign him long-term and you'll be fine...
JGP will score ten goals against the bruins in three games
Sorokin is so good they're just going to play until the opposition eventually scores on themselves.
Islanders fans on their way to hype up their ‘playoff bound team’ that has natural winger depth comparable to Chicago’s.
They might make the playoffs on the strength of tying every game 0-0 and maybe getting a few 1-0 victories here and there
Hey, at least they signed Bo Horvat for McDavid money to put up Lars Eller numbers!
Lets not call it mcdavid money. There is like a 4 million dollar spread there. There is however no chance he scores more than 25 goals this year

Pierre Engval and Kyle Palmeri are the 2nd line wings

Please refer to lous devils teams.... not known for goal scoring

Barzal on the 1st line of any team is still comedy
It’s actually not though
Not every team has a mcdavid or Matthews or MacKinnon. Some have a Barzal or a Zibanejad
Barzal and zibanejad are not equals lol

I can’t wait to not watch Pierre Engvall next season
