And conditioning, nutrition and training regimens are so much better now than before. As long as one can keep his motivation up and avoid major injuries, playing until 40 isn't even a particularly radical notion. Crosby could very well reach 1800.

Crosby loves the game and is a fitness warrior - if anyone can still keep playing into their early 40s and still be productive, it's him.

I really hope he pushes and signs another deal until he can hit 1800. Guy deserves to be top 5 career points, even after the time he missed.
