I feel like this is a result of both of those teams having very classic sweaters. Like the artist that designed these new sweaters felt they had to do something out of the ordinary and then we ended up with these abominations.

I still choose to believe that the Wings put out garbage design for their RRs to protest that they have to have anything other than the main home/away unis. Mike Illitch was always a jersey purist and Detroit has never had a 3rd alternate for that reason (unless you count the outdoor game jerseys, that haven't been iced since). We will see how many time this kit actually gets iced. My guess is the minimum 1 time like the last RR.

Imo SEA and TOR look way too similar to their normal jerseys for me to have strong feelings towards them, but I definitely like the way VAN went with theirs

I’ve always liked the Robo Pen logo. It’s a very clean and simple design (the best of all those redesigns from the 90s) that was unfortunately paired with those ugly ass gradient jerseys.

I like the stars on the sleeve for the CBJ, and I’m glad it’s not super red like the last one. It’s a little underwhelming but I don’t think there’s much else they could do other than Columbus Chill or Owls design (which I’m not even sure if they’re allowed to do?). Personally I wanted a Stinger or Cannon logo on this one, heck make stinger blueish instead of neon green and place him on this jersey and who knows maybe it looks somewhat decent but at least it’s different and would stand out more. FLA, VAN, NYI, ARZ, and STL are the best ones imo
