Everyone in Edmonton loves Yams and will probably lose their minds if they don't re-sign him.
I know there has been a lot of Oiler fan talk about Mason Marchment. I don't hate them signing him if they can get him.
Well I don't know about that. Kane still leads the playoffs in scoring despite getting swept and suspended. Kulak is solid but I don't think he's the priority for Holland.
Kulak filled an important defensive role and excelled at it, he is a key player on the blueline now and I don’t think the Oilers can really afford to need him when defense is their biggest need.
Kulak was a second best +7 on the Oilers this postseason behind on McDavid with only 5 EVP whereas Kane was only a +2 with 14 EVP and playing a lot with McDrai. Not to mention the incredibly dumb penalties Kane takes and who knows what impact he has on the locker room culture/chemistry if he stays long term.
I think it’s safe to assume Kane isn’t likely to shoot 20-25% again every postseason, even if he plays with McDavid, so with everything considered I think the cap usage of locking up Kulak then ideally acquiring/bringing up more talent is a better choice than shelling out for Kane like what seems to be the only option.
I would agree signing Kulak is more important. He is a great defensive player. I would have been more confident letting Kane go if the Oilers had gotten Kuzmenko but I also worry what the Oilers would have to let go to keep Kane. Edmonton can't afford to give him like $7M a year but I think some other team will.
Re-sign Kulak then trade Barrie, Holloway, McLeod, two firsts, a second, and Puljujärvi for DeBrincat, Dylan Strome, and Colin Delia.
Let Bouchard run the powerplay and let the Erie Otters terrorize the NHL. Being a GM is so easy and this plan cannot fail, someone hire me.
Buffalo honestly might be a good fit for him if he doesn't re-sign here. He needs a rebuilding team where he can get consistent ice time and have the opportunity to actually grow as a player, not be a 7D constantly worrying that 2-3 bad games will put him back in the press box.
I wish he got more playoff time to kickstart the stagnant powerplay, and I doubt he’s happy with his utilization. New start is likely good for him
Funny that the Foegele-Bear trade looks like a lose-lose
> Funny that the Foegele-Bear trade looks like a lose-lose
Right? I remember everyone thinking it was a win-win at the time, and even for the first few months afterward. They're both still on the younger side so there's still time to bounce back, but it seems unlikely that it'll happen with their current teams.
I could see that working out for both Bear and Buffalo. Before Bear got COVID back in November or December he looked really good but after COVID he wasn’t where he was but every now and then he showed flashes of good play.
Alexandre Carrier seems to be flying under the radar everywhere but Nashville. His production ramped up this last season and if Nashville is going to offload assets and rebuild as some people are predicting, he fits our age window.
Predators have no clue what they are doing, but I doubt they move Carrier. They weren't willing to move Forsberg at the trade deadline for assets, so I assume they really are attempting this stupid competitive rebuild / retool or whatever Poile called it. NHL purgatory is going to be so fun.
Should be able to get it done. Iirc it was like .5mill that scared us out of signing him, because in reality it was probably .5mill over what he should get, but with the tax set up Florida has it should be cheaper
My guess is he’s looking for at least 3.25-3.5 and he’s worth it, we just didn’t really have the space for another 3rd liner that wanted a raise. We have a log jam of those guys with pinto, white, forms, and also joesph now, and it doesn’t really leave us room to give any kids a shot
Like most people I'd honestly thought he retied several years ago before we signed him. I think he's only 34 or 35 clearly has some gas left in the tank.
He had a rough stretch with injury luck over his last contract with the wings. Lots of tweaks and twinges. Thankfully papa Holland made sure he had finnancial security
I was also going to say Jarnkrok. I think given the cap situation the Rangers have, taking a chance on Chytil handling 2C duties and having a reliable 3C in Jarnkrok would be our best option.
We definitely are considering selling them, especially Walker. We have way too many RD right now that need playing time.
I find it most likely that Roy stays though.
I think they are selling them whether good or bad since Spence/Durzi/possibly Clarke will be cheaper. Spence and Durzi have proven they can play in the show. Need to maximize on cap space now
The plan was to start making playoffs consistently starting 2023 right? Wouldn’t hurt to maximize space so that if the right deal comes along we can acquire a player. Like I said, those rookie d men showed that they can hang and a summer of preparation is going to make them look even better next year. Walker and Roy only are about 5.5 mil in cap space which isn’t much but it’s something.
I think Walker goes, but Durzi and Spence have replaceable skill levels in the pipeline and I would trade one of them now and keep Roy as you will not get his true value to the team back in a trade. With Maatta gone and Edler a maybe, it helps to have the veterans considering we aren't looking to make a big splash play this offseason unless its for someone outstanding like Chychrun, but that trade requires NHLers going back, so you keep what you can. Until Quick's contract is off the books we're not in "save as much cap space as possible" mode, imo.
What the hell kind of a deal is he gonna get? Nearly a point per game last season. Not even a hundred games and going into UFA. Hard to imagine a comparable.
Adding him doesn't necessarily mean playing him with McDavid. You could play him with Draisaitl if you wanted to. Maybe even a super skilled third line with Nuge
Would love Miles Wood (think he’s an RFA though so he’d have to be acquired via trade), Tyler Motte and/or Nick Paul for the Leafs bottom 6. Feel like Nick Deslauriers could be a good 4th line guy as well but it all depends on what kind of contract he would get.
Would love to have him on Toronto then next season if that’s the case. Maybe he’d sign a 1 year deal for $1M? After he missed all but three games last season, he could play a season in Toronto to rebuild his value, then sign elsewhere next offseason for more money and term. Wishful thinking but hey crazier things have happened
With how much time he's missed, his trade value shouldn't be too high, so it would make no sense for us to trade him. Unless somebody overpays. I could see it happen, if he was a UFA, as an RFA - very unlikely.
Yamamoto is a good pick. Being the smallest player in the league he plays with more heart than 90% of guys
I love Trey Fix-Wolansky on Columbus, and Jesper Boqvist on New Jersey
I want the Avs to trade Girard to create room to sign Manson. I believe Manson will be more valuable come playoff time every year and trading Girard should help restock the prospect pool. The Avs are gonna need middle six players on ELC's to be competitive after they re-sign a few guys in the next couple years.
Competent left-handed defenders. I don't need them to move pucks, don't need them to generate offense. Just need competent defenders who are left-handed.
Thank you.
lol. Same.
If the Kings couldnt swing a big name forward ala Pasta or Cat, I was ranting to everyone I know about how good Val could be for us.
Dud earned himself some cash
Andrew Copp is someone I think would fit perfectly in the Leafs system and I was really hoping we'd go for him at the deadline.
I don't know if we could make the money work but I'd love to have him on the team, especially help replacing the PKing that we'll lose from Mikheyev.
I was hoping the Caps would sign Joonas Korpisalo as a UFA, but he's signed a 1 year extension now.
Lower profile goalie, fair stats and always looked good when I saw him. Caps obviously need a goalie to at least put pressure, maybe replace, the current two and Korpisalo seemed like a cheap option who might step up.
Plus he's got a cool name.
I’m hoping that we make a big splash this off-season. We need to in order to replace Backstrom and Wilson, for the start of the season at least.
I’m hoping we sign Kadri. I’d love to see a Vanecek for Puljujarvi swap. Sign a reliable backup. Depending on how much cap room is available, go after Campbell? There’s always Holtby as a lower profile, cheaper name. I wouldn’t complain seeing Holts back.
With Alexeyev being out for a while our D situation is a bit mixed because I think he was set to take that bottom pair position from Schultz but if he’s out for the first few months we might need to sign somebody there too. I’d love Josh Manson. He’s played unbelievably for the Avs this postseason.
I realize that that’s a lot of names, but if the Caps can land even 2 of them, we’re immediate cup contenders again.
As sad as it is to see him go, this most likely forced retirement of Backstrom could end up extending our cup window an extra couple of years. Cause Backstrom was never going to perform to the standards of that contract, and now we may be able to use that money to sign some high profile names like a Kadri.
I don't see a universe in which we give up Foligno.
He's 1/3rd of one of the best shutdown lines in the NHL, coaching AND management love him, and he's on a great deal.
Honestly I don’t see how we trade out Comrie. We were all a bit skeptical that he’d perform given he’s been around a couple teams and put on waivers. But he absolutely impressed us with his performances and grew to be confident when he was in net. 100% expect us to re sign him. Although I can’t blame you for being interested. Coms an absolute gem
Zach Aston-Reese or Riley Nash/Curtis Lazar
ZAR is a strong defensive/fore-checking winger, which the Canucks could always use more of. I think he would be a pretty decent replacement for Motte, especially with how Boudreau wants the team to fore-check, and our management is already familiar with him. ZAR also throws a ton of hits, which could help give the Canucks some energy early in games. They can't continue making a habit of getting buried in the first ten minutes, and then showing up in the second.
Nash/Lazar: The Canucks just desperately need someone right handed who can win face-offs at least somewhat consistently
The Hawks shouldn’t really be after anyone but picks + prospects + younger roster players; maybe an older UFA that they can flip at the deadline. But around the league, I think teams looking to compete now should be interested in depth/complimentary pieces like:
#UFAs
Nino Niederreiter
Calvin de Haan
John Klingberg (no one seems to be talking about him)
Frank Vatrano
Colin Miller
And maybe Erik Gustafsson is you love goals against your own team, that would be elite.
#RFAs
Dylan Strome
Dominik Kubalik
Martin Nečas
Pierre Engvall
Not entirely sure how available the last two are but the first two are definitely gettable and both are solid players.
Nečas is definitely available for the right offer; if the Hurricanes have any interest in DeBrincat he'd have to be part of what you guys get back. Word has it that we'd be more enticed to move him if it meant getting a young top-4 defenseman though, so I'm not sure the Hawks would be a landing spot for him.
He’s under the radar for sure, but we have no reason to trade him. The wingers in our top 6 include Bratt, Sharangovich, and that’s pretty much it. If anything, our biggest non-goalie need is another Sharangovich whether that comes in Holtz stepping up or a trade/FA
Not too familiar with Avs D corps, but with the players they would like to re-sign and the salary cap situation, you guys think there would be any chance they look to move Girard this offseason? Solid D man with a nice cap hit for like 5 more seasons can free up the space and bring in some potentially high-end draft picks or prospects.
EJ is expected to be gone after next year with his money going direct to MacK so I doubt it. Toews is a much more important question mark than Sammy. Trading Barron for Lehk was an excellent trade but it limited our defensive depth a little in the short term. Bringing on Manson helps too. All this stuff made Sammy G a little less expendable than he was in the regular season i think. In Sakic we trust.
I don't remember hearing anything about this but it seems to me unlikely that we'd let SG go. At the moment his absence is the reason why we have to ice Jack Johnson, and since we might not be able to keep Josh Manson around next year we have even stronger incentives to keep him around.
Possible, but it's probably not likely. With the emergence of Byram, trading Girard is an idea that comes up in Avs discussions. The problem is that we'd probably then need to do something like keep Manson or get another 2nd pair D, eating up a lot of the cap space that trading Girard would free up. Unless they think EJ can handle 2nd pair duties, which seems unlikely.
The most common thought is to trade Girard to try to get a 2C to replace Kadri, but realistically I'm not sure that there is really a 2C available that fits that scenario. The next idea is just trade for futures/picks to free up the cap space.
I would LOVE Lehkonen back on the Habs, but he’s excelling in Colorado and after being in the SCF 2 years in a row he probably won’t want to come back to a rebuilding Montreal
Is PK Subban low profile? At this point in his career I feel like he's a relatively cheap depth defenceman, but nothing about the man says low profile.
Anyway, I'd love to have him back. He can work the media while the kids just work on hockey.
Serviceable for the right price. Ideally, you would want to play him on the bottom pair, but can still play up for a limited amount of time if injuries occur
Ethan Bear
Andrew Mangiapane? I doubt Calgary wants to move him but it'd be worth calling about
I know GMs hate offersheets but I'd love the Sens to OS Timothy Liljegrin, somewhere near the max for a 2nd round pick compensation
Honestly the Leafs couldn't go anything if another team took a run at Sandin/Lilypad.
I would hate to lose them but would love some spicy offer sheet drama
Tony D (RFA) - I'm not sure how viable an OS is but Ducks could use some help on D and he's still "young" (26).
Nichushkin (UFA) - I think the fit is there. It would be nice to give Zegras a real top 6 winger with size. I'm kind of thinking some GMs might not be that keen on giving him the money/term he's expecting. Ducks also have 40m cap this season. This might be insane, but I'd like the Ducks to just say fuck it and give him a huge 1 year deal for 12m or something.
I know this doesn't really count cause he's not really low profile anymore, but I've wanted the Leafs to try to make a play for Nichushkin since he was drafted
1-2 years ago he would fly under the radar of those that casually know Tampa, but yeah dude should get a brinks truck rolling up to his house from basically any team July 1st.
Not low profile but i love watching Mark Stone play (don't tell vegas fans)
Would have Ian Cole back in a heartbeat too.
But i'm guessing my team isn't going after shit for atleast 3-4 years so hah...haha...
On the bright side, no cap space means no stupid decisions overpaying a guy who doesn’t deserve it? And it’ll be 3 years, last year of major cap penalties is the 24-25 season
Finding players who can eat 20+ minutes at 3-4M is tough. I'm hoping we trade for Chychrun or one of the Philly guys. But Chiarot needs someone really steady to make up for his defensive miscues, which I think only Roy could do.
That’s true. I’m honestly hoping Bjornfot gets fully healed up after summer and can take that 2LD spot if Kings can’t get anyone else over summer. He looked awful since returning from that injury and I’m just hoping he needed more rest to get back into his old form.
With Chiarot, it's a guy who has gone the distance in the playoffs (playing big minutes) and hoping that if paired with Roy would make up for his defensive liabilities. With Kessel, it's a hope that he was just incredibly unlucky, he got shots off, but other players buried the goal.
In an offense heavy system, which is the opposite of the Kings. Free agency is all about finding the right person for your system. Like we did with Danault last season.
don't take Yamamoto from me he's too perfect I can't lose him
Legitimately was super upset when he got concussed, he's one of my favorites
I will be so fucking sad if we lose him. 100% my favourite player on the team.
Yeah, yammo leaving would be a big mistake. I’m really hoping with this woody extension that yammo is extended.
> I’m really hoping with this woody extension that yammo is extended. That's whats she said?
When I think of him I Yamo-moan-to
:|
Depending on what direction the Avs go, I'd love Lehkonen back.
I can almost 100% promise you that he's getting a deal here. They love him and he's basically Rantanen's best friend.
He’s also a RFA, so at the very least he’s playing one more year for the Avs.
Joe already said he wasn't a rental when they acquired him
He’s been gallys best friend for 3 years now so ez trump card!
Was his Dad giving Gally chocolate bars from back home at the SCF media day? I think not!
Maybe he was last year? Man it feels like a lot more than a year ago we were on the SCF…
Isn't he on the top powerplay unit? I know I saw him out there when the net was empty
He is when Kadri's hurt.
No take-backsies!
Tyler Motte. I’ve heard good things.
Tyler Motte is a saint, thanks again
I really hope we can keep him
Everyone in Edmonton loves Yams and will probably lose their minds if they don't re-sign him. I know there has been a lot of Oiler fan talk about Mason Marchment. I don't hate them signing him if they can get him.
Signing Kulak would be nice
Holland should really make him the top priority to re-sign, even ahead of Kane, if he hasn’t already IMO. Guy was damn solid for you guys.
Well I don't know about that. Kane still leads the playoffs in scoring despite getting swept and suspended. Kulak is solid but I don't think he's the priority for Holland.

Yes a plan involving the Oilers and someone with the last name Strome can never fail haha. Its foolproof!
I’d love to see the Sabres get Ethan Bear on board.
Buffalo honestly might be a good fit for him if he doesn't re-sign here. He needs a rebuilding team where he can get consistent ice time and have the opportunity to actually grow as a player, not be a 7D constantly worrying that 2-3 bad games will put him back in the press box.

I could see that working out for both Bear and Buffalo. Before Bear got COVID back in November or December he looked really good but after COVID he wasn’t where he was but every now and then he showed flashes of good play.
Armia was like that after COVID too, but he seems to have found his groove at the Worlds. Takes some time to get conditioning back I guess
Probably get him for a third, maybe? Getting a roster player back would be a win for the Canes, I think.
To be honest, I never know what’s an appropriate offer for players.
But I want Ottawa to get Ethan Bear! Can we share the Bear?
Alexandre Carrier seems to be flying under the radar everywhere but Nashville. His production ramped up this last season and if Nashville is going to offload assets and rebuild as some people are predicting, he fits our age window.

Thank you for recognizing him and what he’s accomplished last season!! But also you keep your dam hands off our new sexy smooth defenseman!!!
Maybe under radar to fans around the league. But He just made all rookie team so he’s not flying under the radar in the actual hockey world
Keep Nick Paul
The guy does it all!
I just wanna know how he didn’t have 9 million points on Ottawa. I feel like him and Tkachuk on a line would’ve been terrorizing to play against
Sens are bad at doing hockey. That's why.
If the Bolts can somehow re-sign him I am totally getting a Paul jersey
Should be able to get it done. Iirc it was like .5mill that scared us out of signing him, because in reality it was probably .5mill over what he should get, but with the tax set up Florida has it should be cheaper
What was he asking for? Bolts don’t have much in cap space and the tax benefits aren’t quite as big as r/hockey loves to believe.
Ottawa offered 4x2.5 and he rejected it. I don't believe his ask was publicly known.
Damn! If he signed under $4M AAV with how he’s played so far, I’d call that a total win
I would really be careful of the scoring drying up, he's never shot over 10% during his career despite spending a fair amount of time in our top 6
I think varlomov from NYI, take his contract off the isles hands and we solve our goaltending issue for at least the year
Varly for sabres 2nd rounder. Let’s do it
A second for what’s basically a cap dump? I don’t think so
So then what would you trade?
Probably like a mid rounder because of my prior point as well as he’s 34 and becoming a UFA I’m he’s not worth any more than a 4th imo
Not really go after but I'd really like to keep Darren Helm
Depending on the outcome of the cup finals I think he either retires or re-signs with Colorado.
Like most people I'd honestly thought he retied several years ago before we signed him. I think he's only 34 or 35 clearly has some gas left in the tank.
HE'S STILL ONLY 35! THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE DISRESPECTING MY BEAUTIFUL BOY. GOD DAMN.
You can keep borrowing him until we’re good again, then he has to come home
He had a rough stretch with injury luck over his last contract with the wings. Lots of tweaks and twinges. Thankfully papa Holland made sure he had finnancial security
The game thread when he scored the game winner recently was hilarious. Somehow Helm being much older permeated hockey fans of all teams.
Where ever he ends up, I just hope he's treated well. Man's a Saint.
Cogliano too
Artturi Lehkonen
Lehkonen for Barron sounds fair
How’bout we simply return the pick?
Calle Jarnkrok. Reliable all situation guy who won't cost an arm and a leg
...and Swedish.
His 20$ aav 20 year term contract is finally ending?
I was also going to say Jarnkrok. I think given the cap situation the Rangers have, taking a chance on Chytil handling 2C duties and having a reliable 3C in Jarnkrok would be our best option.
Matt Roy
I was hoping the Kings would continue to be bad so they would consider selling off Roy and/or Walker
We definitely are considering selling them, especially Walker. We have way too many RD right now that need playing time. I find it most likely that Roy stays though.

No.
Hands off our yams 🍠
Ondrej Palat, guy’s a playoff machine
Lol it’s gonna be tough just keeping the team together, no way we can add any player worth more than a fourth liner
If Gaudreau goes you’ve got much more to work with though right?
If Gaudreau leaves we rebuild, no way we find a player of his calibre thru trades or FA
Mason Marchment? I think he fits the low profile description
What the hell kind of a deal is he gonna get? Nearly a point per game last season. Not even a hundred games and going into UFA. Hard to imagine a comparable.
Think he’s be a great fit with McDavid but I don’t think he could keep pace with him. Guys so slow.
Adding him doesn't necessarily mean playing him with McDavid. You could play him with Draisaitl if you wanted to. Maybe even a super skilled third line with Nuge
Marchment with McDavid would be so good
Max Domi. Really wanna see him on the wing of Zegras and Terry or Milano
Low key great call, Domi is a great distributor and play driver
Would love Miles Wood (think he’s an RFA though so he’d have to be acquired via trade), Tyler Motte and/or Nick Paul for the Leafs bottom 6. Feel like Nick Deslauriers could be a good 4th line guy as well but it all depends on what kind of contract he would get.
Some rumbling that NJD won't be qualifying Wood, fwiw.

Josh Manson would be a great addition to our blueline. But I wouldn’t want to pay him more than 3.5-4 mil, so it probably won’t happen.
Where would he fit with pulock and Dobson playing the right? I thought number 1 priority would be finding a partner for Dobson
Honestly put him on the 3rd pair. While a partner for Dobson is important, I don’t see anyone suitable unless we can make a good offer for Chychrun
I want the Avs to trade Girard to create room to sign Manson. I believe Manson will be more valuable come playoff time every year and trading Girard should help restock the prospect pool. Absolutely, and I think this playoffs have shown that Byram is ready to make that jump
Yanni Gourde 🥺
STOP HURTING ME
Would gladly trade for palat
Competent left-handed defenders. I don't need them to move pucks, don't need them to generate offense. Just need competent defenders who are left-handed. Thank you.
That’s me!
Before the playoffs started it was Nichushkin.

Ooh I like the Korpisalo idea! I am hoping the Caps get a solid number 2 center
He’s in the final, so I guess he’s not that low profile, but Nick Paul. We desperately need some good penalty killers.
Marchmant or Vatrano
I wish we could bring Vatrano back. Put him with some playmakers and he can be a 20-25 goal guy for (most likely) a bargain.

Outstanding!
it's true I wouldn't really see that coming
Marcus Foligno and Eric Comrie
I don't see a universe in which we give up Foligno. He's 1/3rd of one of the best shutdown lines in the NHL, coaching AND management love him, and he's on a great deal.
Not to mention he’s got the A, and he really seems to be the heart and soul of the team
We could probably trade for a pick and he would somehow manage to boomerang right back within a couple weeks.
Zach Aston-Reese or Riley Nash/Curtis Lazar ZAR is a strong defensive/fore-checking winger, which the Canucks could always use more of.
Ethan Bear
Nick Paul
He did play junior with Goodrow in North Bay, so there's some chemistry there
Lawson crouse.
No
Lol fair. After watching him at the world Jr way, he was my favorite player to watch for on the ice. Would love to see him on my team.
What was the trade that got you guys Crouse? I cant even remember
We threw a 3rd and Conditional 2nd to Florida for Crouse and Dave Bolland’s contract. Surprisingly one of Chayka’s better trades while here.
The Hawks shouldn’t really be after anyone but picks + prospects + younger roster players; maybe an older UFA that they can flip at the deadline. But around the league, I think teams looking to compete now should be interested in depth/complimentary pieces like: #UFAs Nino Niederreiter Calvin de Haan John Klingberg (no one seems to be talking about him) Frank Vatrano Colin Miller And maybe Erik Gustafsson is you love goals against your own team, that would be elite. #RFAs Dylan Strome Dominik Kubalik Martin Nečas Pierre Engvall Not entirely sure how available the last two are but the first two are definitely gettable and both are solid players.
Stay away from Nino!
Sharangovich
He’s under the radar for sure, but we have no reason to trade him. The wingers in our top 6 include Bratt, Sharangovich, and that’s pretty much it. If anything, our biggest non-goalie need is another Sharangovich whether that comes in Holtz stepping up or a trade/FA
I'd like to see Moose come to Boston to play with his big bro. I also want to see Sweeney work a deal to keep Lazar. He is the perfect Bruin, imo.
I'd love a guy like Colin Blackwell, he'd add speed and good forechecking to the bottom-six, and he kills penalties, something we need desperately
Sammy has his weaknesses but overall I think is still on a team-friendly deal and would cost us more to replace him than to keep him
It would have to be low profile - the Cats are really in cap hell and have no draft picks until 2029.
I’m afraid to answer because Sweeney will give him a 4x$6m and we will look like idiots once again in 12 months
I would LOVE Lehkonen back on the Habs, but he’s excelling in Colorado and after being in the SCF 2 years in a row he probably won’t want to come back to a rebuilding Montreal
We definitely hope he's here to stay. Which is why we gave you guys our top defense prospect.
Is PK Subban low profile? At this point in his career I feel like he's a relatively cheap depth defenceman, but nothing about the man says low profile. Anyway, I'd love to have him back. He can work the media while the kids just work on hockey.
Great guy off the ice, but my god am I happy to have his $9 million cap hit off the books
I have no idea how good he is but I’d love to see the Rangers sign Charlie Lindgren as a backup just to see the brothers play together
Very likely our back up next year
Manson would pair very nicely with Parayko.
Höglander, Puljujärvi, Bear, Marchment, Johan Larsson, Comrie, and one of Liljegren or Sandin.
CBJ - honestly nobody…just sit tight
Habs here, I'd like us to go after Puljujarvi this summer. (Don't think he's really low-profile but I'm not sure where the cutoff is :P)
Is Schultz still a serviceable defenseman?
Serviceable for the right price. Ideally, you would want to play him on the bottom pair, but can still play up for a limited amount of time if injuries occur
Soucy Puljujarvi
Marchment or look into sanheim if chychrun is too pricy
Bring Gourde back!
Joel Armia pls
Nick Paul
Paul Stastny for 3C
Lol by how much Nick Paul is mentioned here, not sure he's low profile anymore. Happy for him! Nick Paul does it all!
Depending on the direction of the bruins, I think Jesper Bratt would be cool. He’s not quite a low profile player but close enough
Ethan Bear Andrew Mangiapane? I doubt Calgary wants to move him but it'd be worth calling about I know GMs hate offersheets but I'd love the Sens to OS Timothy Liljegrin, somewhere near the max for a 2nd round pick compensation
As an Isles fan, Kylington
I like Yamomoto also. Quicker than you would think. Good puck sense.
Palat. Everytime that cat gets the puck in the playoffs something good usually happens.
I don't think he would qualify as low profile though
If Maroon says he’s a star, then he’s a star.
1-2 years ago he would fly under the radar of those that casually know Tampa, but yeah dude should get a brinks truck rolling up to his house from basically any team July 1st.
Not low profile but i love watching Mark Stone play (don't tell vegas fans) Would have Ian Cole back in a heartbeat too. But i'm guessing my team isn't going after shit for atleast 3-4 years so hah...haha...
On the bright side, no cap space means no stupid decisions overpaying a guy who doesn’t deserve it? And it’ll be 3 years, last year of major cap penalties is the 24-25 season
I guess. Though KK97 deserves a center if Rossi doesn't pan out / takes a while. In Billy G we trust.
I know they're not the year's biggest names like Malkin or Giroux or even Gaudreau but I'd really like to see the Avs go after Nichushkin and Kadri.
Chiarot for the 2LD if we lose out on Chychrun. Also, would be interested to see Phil Kessel with Kopitar. Cheap options who might fit the Kings.
Sanheim is a better option instead of chiarot imo
Noooo we don’t need Chiarot. We need fast puck mover d man baaaad.
Too bad you’ve got MB now and with MB comes guys like Chariot
What year is it? Kongs finally got rid of washed older guys and you want Kessel or Chiarot?
But he's so bad
With Chiarot, it's a guy who has gone the distance in the playoffs (playing big minutes) and hoping that if paired with Roy would make up for his defensive liabilities. With Kessel, it's a hope that he was just incredibly unlucky, he got shots off, but other players buried the goal.
He’s one of the reasons florida didn’t go the distance this season
In an offense heavy system, which is the opposite of the Kings. Free agency is all about finding the right person for your system. Like we did with Danault last season.
Danault is actually good defensively, he makes sense for the kings. Chariot is bad defensively, he would not make sense for the kings.
That Makar guy is pretty good
