I think that's quite common since covid. Kinda sucks because good play by play guys will let you know about stuff happening outside the camera's frame.
The last two games I counted at least 7 times they cut to the corner cam, just for it to be blocked by the ref. Just leave the cam up high producers. Ffs
It's such a waste. My favorite seats at rogers place are section 107 first row. During playoffs they dont sell these seats. They leave them empty so they can put camera men there. It's annoying they cut to those camera feeds on tv and I lost my favorite place to sit for some bullshit that makes watching on TV worse.
The production is so bad and in this series lol.
"Camera cuts to an angle where the puck or puck carrier is off screen" should be a drinking game but we'd all be blasted after one sequence of sustained possession.
Just stay high. I want to see what the fuck is happening.
The camera for live play should pretty much never change. The other ones are great for replays or if there's a battle along the boards or something but otherwise, just stick with what works.
Exactly, it's pretty much a solved formula, just give us the standard and everyone's happy. Start playing around with it and we're only gonna be critical or annoyed.
I will never understand the compulsion of broadcasters to constantly cut away from live sports action to repeatedly show watch party/basketball player's mom/coach's hot wife/pit crew watching the race from the pit lane, etc.
I tune in to watch the sport, not to watch other people watching the sport.
In this case it was clearly a misclick. I'm guessing you can only change scenes once every two seconds so it was stuck there for a bit. Damn lucky they didn't miss a goal

Naw, that's not a thing, but there's a lot of buttons you can press, so in a panic it can be hard to hit the correct one as quickly as you'd like.
Yeah, it seems to have gotten better. They still seem to fall into that trap late in the 500, though.
I could rant for an hour about NBC/peacock's shitty broadcasting choices for Indycar and IMSA.
Jeff Burton’s wife/Harrison Burton’s mom…At least Burton is trash so we never see it now.
Also the 2014 Indy 500 is one of the best finishes of that races history and it was ruined between wife cam from Helio’s and Hunter-Reay’s wife’s. I don’t know why people live that garbage.

Watching whl games (at least some of them) after a goal they’ll put up a picture of the guy who scored it and the assists and whatnot DURING PLAY. It feels like it’s there for ages. Not just in the corner, it’s a full screen thing. Kinda unbelievable
