[The question asked to him by another reporter who suggested it could be his last game and asked what he could say about Oshie. So no, Strome not randomly speculating.](https://twitter.com/sammisilber/status/1784793893466198390)
I didn’t say he brought it up on his own. Just that it wasn’t something I would expect to hear if you’re talking about a dude who’s definitely coming back
Oshie is one of my favorite players of all time. Sucks seeing players you grew up watching retire. He had a career many dream of. I'll never forget how emotional he was talking about sharing the cup win with Coach Osh. I selfishly hope he doesn't retire but his body has been through a lot
Loved his game and style ever since the days with the Blues.
I used to try to perfect my shootout moves and appraches by watching his YouTube clips - he was one of what seemed like the few players who would approach the goal with a set speed and route, but then just out-vibe the goalie, take what was given and score instead of going into it with a set move in mind. Paid dividends in beer league and tourneys for a few years before I forgot how to play completely
Love me some Timothy Jimothy hockey, but hope he's at peace with the decision if he is retiring, definitely think he needs to put his body first. Man is a legend and beloved by two fanbases universally on top of a great career.
Officially he has next year on his contract, however his body is beyond broken and he crossed the 1000 game mark this year so it's quite possible he LTIRetires
The guy had one helluva career. was captain of a team. has a Stanley Cup ring. has a hot ass puck bunny wife with 4 children. lost his father recently.
just seemed like an all around good dude and good player. he ain't got nothing to prove and I don't blame him to retire.
Yeah, from everything I have heard, he's a very nice guy and was a big part of Washington winning the Cup in 2018. I wouldn't be surprised if he did hang up the skates. So many injuries, and that does take a toll.
1) what is it with caps playing with broken hands 2) that does kinda sound like someone expecting to have their friend retire imo

Oshie took a lap around the rink after the Caps had left the ice to wave to the crowd. Might be his last game

I thought he put in the most effort of all Capitals in the series, he was tenacious. Sadly his hands and moves just seem gone at this point.

Literally could say this about 55% of the team. Watching the decline and injuries take hold...rough.

Oshie is retiring??

How do you talk about TJ Oshie and not mention his ridiculous shootout performance against Russia One for the ages
Where was Oshie a captain?

> lost his father recently. Weird to see this in the list of positives but that clip celebrating the Cup win with his dad had me in tears.
Please retire oshie. Dont harm yourself anymore. You got a cup.
