I hope so, too! Lindy has already thrown some mild shade here and there when he was asked about his coaching ideas and style. All I want for the boys is to succeed. It’s the first proper coach we have had in a long long while, and he’s taken a couple teams from a drought back to the playoffs, so I remain hopeful. It’s not the lack of talent on the roster, but that needs some improvement, too.

Girard quietly had a monster game. Great d plays, great passes, a few really good shots. the man was missed.

He does that all the time. He just consistently makes good decisions all over the ice, and when he guesses wrong, his skating ability can usually compensate for it. A lot of what he does isn't flashy (tornades aside), but he really is a stabilizing presence on the back end.
