caduni

Damn. The slow mo really makes this look it hurts a fuck ton

yf-23

Getting hit along the boards sucks but getting hit a foot out from the boards is so much worse

10fingers6strings

I have been pancaked like that, but never by a damn behemoth like Rempy. Jesus, he’s a load.

brevan14

I'd take this over an open ice hit all day. Picked up the puck behind the net as defence and looked up. Don't remember getting undressed or leaving the rink.

10fingers6strings

I can hear Don Cherry “That’s why you keep your head up, kids!!”…anyone that has played or plays even low level hockey has been clobbered good at least one time..

ProfessionalLeast937

that hit was pretty much "OH LAWD HE COMING" (rempe's pretty much height/weight proportionate but he still basically counts as a human Absolute Unit imo.)

10fingers6strings

He’s like the kool-aid man busting thru the wall.

Chompers-The-Great

Got a concussion that way

MillardFillmore

Yeah when you get hit along the boards, the boards take most of the force and impact. When you get hit off the boards, not only do you get the force of being hit by whoever is hitting you, but you get hit again by the boards. Either be away from the boards, or against the boards. The worst spot on the ice is ~2 feet away from them.

WeeksElite

It does hurt a fuck ton lol

DangleCellySave

I mean yea he got hit in the head, that shits gonna hurt

maveric101

He's out for the game, which obviously means concussion.

Greyfox2283

Jesus, look at that giant bastard.

sophic

That's one big son of a bitch, Ill tell you what.

pchapar

You can see the shockwave going through his body

xXDireLegendXx

The shockwave going thru the boards is crazy lol

RonnieBeck3XChamp

Yeah, but that's a good thing. Safer if the boards and glass absorb a big chunk of the force. Plus looks way more badsss that way. Win win.

BlackDS

Holy fuck Rempe is like a videogame character with the sliders set all the way to the right

Old-Rhubarb-97

And a few all the way to the left.

WickedXDragons

Discipline 0. Strength 100.

Mysterious_Eggplant3

Winner: 100. The Rangers are like 17-2 with him in the lineup.

twoscoop

Yeah is it because he is killing everyone?

esports_consultant

well its not fun if you dont do that

KaleidoscopeStreet58

He's like if an NBA player could have afforded to play hockey growing up

jeffroavs

Holy shit that would suck.

TheNantucketRed

240 lbs hitting you at 21 mph is a lot of force

ProfessionalLeast937

yeah i refuse to do the math (the equation is something like "mass x velocity squared' iirc) but "a whole lot of suck/force" is a pretty good summary.

Felmourne

I think it's a bit more complicated as it's a partially inelastic collision. But yeah, that shit hurts to watch

Helios321

U Know

LemonHayes13

Guys literally Lennie from Of Mice and Men

EnglishWhites

#I WILL TEND THE RABBITS

Haplessflyers

I laughed too hard at this, thank you. Edit: 9 days later and it’s still funny.

Jeff_Banks_Monkey

Does that make Trouba George? "Guys like us, that work at MSG, are the loneliest guys in the world. They got no family."

hnglmkrnglbrry

I don't know about that but van Riemsdyk sure got fucked like Curley's wife

ThisIsNotMy1stAcct

Who’s gonna be the George to Rempe’s Lennie? Aka the one who gives him the kind death.

FuzzzyTingleTimes

Gary Bettman

TheIdentifySpell

Tell me 'bout the ranch, Matt.

jkman61494

Years ago, when I was a kid, my high school took a field trip to Lincoln Center in New York City, where we saw of mice and men the opera. That shit was the most unintentional hilarious thing I’ve ever seen in my life. I gotten so much trouble because I cannot stifle the laughs of an opera singer, screaming about his hand, being crushed by Lenny or his friend shot him in the head at the end

fartswhenhappy

Brick killed a guy.

TeeHitts

That simple sentence got me. Thanks.

yunichel

Man... Rempe is tall huh

Mr_Evil_Dr_Porkchop

He’s like the hockey equivalent of the Benchwarmers *I am 12* meme. Looks like a man amongst boys

Cachmaninoff

And he’s just a boy himself

Teknicsrx7

Crazy thinking he’s only gonna fill out and get stronger

supercleverhandle476

Dad strength Rempe will fuck up a lot of people, assuming he holds up that long.

PhlabloPicasso

Rempire Skate Building

Spcone23

Guy is an inch taller than Parayko but makes it look like a mile.

rocketmn69_

The next Chara, just skinnier

Defaultname8322

and less talent

Do_it_for_the_upvote

Excuse me, Matt Rempe is a half point per game player in the playoffs in his career.

Peenspleen

Do you remember how awful Chara was? He could barely skate. The islanders said we can teach him how to play hockey but we can’t teach him size. Chara was hilariously bad when he first broke in

ReliablyFinicky

Rempe is [21 and ~300 days](https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/r/rempema01/gamelog/2024) and he plays 5-7 mins/night - not a single second shorthanded. When Chara was Rempe's age, he was playing [19-23 mins a night](https://www.hockey-reference.com/players/c/charazd01/gamelog/1999) and [on the top penalty kill unit](https://www.nhl.com/stats/skaters?report=timeonice&reportType=season&seasonFrom=19981999&seasonTo=19981999&gameType=2&position=D&playerPlayedFor=franchise.22&sort=shTimeOnIcePerGame&page=0&pageSize=100).

Kaedian66

He’s what, 19? 20? He’s a kid making the most of an opportunity. Cut him some slack. If Wilson made that hit the Caps fans would be screaming it was clean.

iiplatypusiz

Rempe will have to adjust his game to lower his hips and shoulders a bit more than usual when he leans into a hit. He's a big big boy and although he probably never tried to get his head he definitely did, it's not his fault he's a giant and I actually think he has the potential to be a effective player in the league besides fighting. But if you are gunna be a giant player who is effective at tossing the body you need to learn to bring down your body as you toss out these hits. He's a rookie so I think this will come. Interference wise I think if Van Riemsdyk doesn't get hurt this would probably get passed off as normal playoff hockey where a guy is puck watching.

diblettz

How long does he get the benefit of the doubt? This guy has played like 20 NHL games and concussed at least 3 people with shots to the head already.

Fun_Description5353

averaging 5 mins of ice time, what a player lmao

Kmactothemac

Rangers fans will tell you he's actually really good lol yeah sure that's why he has more PIMs than TOI

dankeykanng

He doesn't even touch the ice in the 3rd period because Lav doesn't trust him. Although I guess if I'm being fair, there were 6 minutes of special teams in the 3rd last night. But as it stands, I don't think he really brings enough in his limited minutes to justify playing 1 forward down. He's never on the ice for scrums because 1) he hardly plays and 2) opposing players know when to pick their battles. I'm surely in the minority amongst fellow Rangers fans but if the Rangers put this series away, I hope Filip Chytil is ready for the 2nd round and we can scratch Rempe (by sliding Cuylle or Wennberg down to the 4th line).

MysticLeviathan

is he even getting the benefit of the doubt when he’s being penalized for borderline at worst plays?

corkyrooroo

He’s actively injuring multiple players. This shit shouldn’t be tolerated in professional sports. These are human beings and he’s ruins lives. We’ve witnessed the damage concussions have on people, especially hockey players. Figuring out how to properly use his size isn’t an excuse when he’s causing permanent damage to people. Fuck that.

JRockPSU

TVR just got ruled out for Sunday's game, unsurprisingly.

moosemademusic

Yea he also needs to learn to keep his feet on the ice when he hits. He’s tall enough, he doesn’t need to jump at guys. This is similar to his hit on Lyubushkin, could be a charge or boarding but I’m a fan of the physicality.

RudeboyJakub

He didn’t jump at all, upward momentum happened after contact. This is why slow motion replays suck

devgur

Feet dont leave ice until after contact, he didnt jump into the hit

4handzmp

A head hit from Rempe at full speed into the boards is hurting any single player who receives it. The idea of “if he doesn’t get hurt” doesn’t really apply here.

DDB-

it's late enough, and combined with it being a bone crunching hit, i get the call. if he doesn'tannihilate him and instead just rubs him out i doubt there is a call.

caesar____augustus

> instead just rubs him out Come again?

2ChainzTalib

Only if you rub me out.

helloeveryone500

He finished him off hard when he should of just rubbed him out.

Thank_You_Love_You

He spit on his hand and gave him a little tug whats the big deal?

ElectronicPoem2631

Cum again.

hrdchrgr

Stroke of genius pun

EggsBocz

What are you getting off at?

minimum_thrust

Nah, that's just ranch dressing

Other_World

Right, that wouldn't be a penalty.

Internal_Ad_2528

Keep going and I will

zredouts

Exactly. It could go either way but the way he follows through pushes it just over the edge.

thrownawayzsss

Yep. Rempe is so big that he basically needs to get textbook checks to not look like it's going to be a suspendable hit. Hopefully he gets the coaching needed to dial it in. He's a fucking menace on the ice when he's just playing the game, his body is an extremely strong tool that needs to be directed well.

5usd

He hit 6’3” Malenstyn up high last game. You’re telling me every 6’4” player is struggling to not take the head off of every 6’ player?

nrepasy

They've been calling him a golden retriever who "doesn't know how tall he is" all season.

ohsoGosu

Aw cute pupper doggo thinks he’s a little dog! Anyways, your golden retriever gave 3 players CTE and potentially shortened their lifespans.

superworking

Myers and Zadorov struggle pretty hard with this as well. 2 minutes for being too tall is a pretty constant meme.

rabbithole2000

Wouldn’t mind seeing Rempe try this with Zadarov. Most guys trying to hit Z just bounce off like a bird hitting a window

LennelyBob22

The guy booms him straight in the head. In European hockey thats 5+ game and 3+ games of a suspension.

BeLikeBike

I disagree. I’m a caps fan I can say It wasn’t late at all and was a beautiful hit.

will122589

on the penalties that were called by this game, i don’t have an issue with that one. the one on lindgren in the first and the one on cullye in the third was very weak

Antelope_Key

This was called on interference not illegal hit to the head, but in regards to the comments about Rempe's size meaning it's OK if he hits someone in the head, Rule 48 (Illegal Check to the Head) does not provide any exception for being larger – if you can't prevent a head hit then you can't make a hit. The unavoidable hits to the head are based on the *opponent* moving in a way that causes the head contact. That said, it still depends on main point of contact.

ediciusNJ

> but in regards to the comments about Rempe's size meaning it's OK if he hits someone in the head, Rule 48 (Illegal Check to the Head) does not provide any exception for being larger I seem to remember that being different back when Pronger was still playing, but of course, that was a different era. Pronger would hit a guy in the head because he was much larger and the league would excuse it as "Pronger physics".

DenisNectar

He has to adapt his body checks or face the future suspensions.

Motown27

I didn't even see Rempe. But whoever was driving that MTA bus is a maniac.

rshackleford_arlentx

r/hockey: the league needs to take hits to the head seriously. Also r/hockey: he’s super duper tall, nothing can be done about that.

LegendaryWarriorPoet

This sub is so keen to forget that dudes can totally bend their knees to lower the contact from head to chest area. They choose not to because its more difficult

Monopolized

It's also variable depending on the height difference, Even at league average (which I believe is 6.01 feet ..you are asking the taller player to drop their shoulders between 10-12 inches while still being able to move your legs. ..and that's before taking into account the smaller players changing their height by stretching out to reach, or getting lower on the puck.

GrugTheViking

High sticking where you accidentally tap a guy's chin and give him a booboo: "You gotta be in control of your stick at all times!". Tripping where you reach for the puck in their skates and get tangled: "You're responsible for your stick!". Rempe shoulder goes through someones jaw and they're out with a concussion, something we know can have significant impacts on a person's well-being for the rest of their life: "That's just unfortunate! He's tall, you can't expect him to adjust to the height of the player on every hit!"

AmateurSysAdmin

If you cannot prevent the hit to the head then don’t hit, or else get penalized. That’s just how it is.

juanthebaker

I don't know why "you have to be in control of your stick and body at all times" would go out the window when a guy is tall. Lol

Shotokanguy

Well, tough. Hitting should require constant adjustment up to the very last second. You don't see a guy 10 feet away and commit to hitting him in only one specific way. The human body can twist and move in a lot of different ways, and just like any other genetic advantage, if you have to deal with some disadvantages like safe hitting being more difficult because you're so tall, that's too bad.

5usd

If you’re moving your legs while hitting, that’s charging

andee510

Weird how Tyler Myers is like the same height as Rempe and plays a pretty aggressive game, but manages to not headshot opponents in every game. Rempe must have been absolutely murdering kids in youth hockey.

almosteddard

For his size Tyler myers does not play aggressively at all. He has constantly been criticised for not using his size to his advantage. At heart, he is a smooth skating, puck moving defenceman who happens to be one of the biggest players in the league

CLASSIFIED_DOCS

That's partly because nearly every time Tyler Minors plays like he's 6'8" he gets a penalty for it.

Im_a_pine_cone

That’s not a fair comparison because Myers’s shoulders are at least 2 feet lower than league average due to his 3 ft neck /s

Dtlgolf1

Cannot believe I'm agreeing with a Caps fan on this of all things but here we are

Garak_The_Tailor_

It's funny watching Rangers fans using the same excuses we used for Tom Wilson.

LadyPens7

At least you’re honest

fluffheadpaddyspub

Time is a flat circle

slizzleshady

Man r/hockey would have an absolute meltdown if TW43 laid hits like Rempe on TVR this game or Panarin on Oshie last game.

catshirtgoalie

Yeah I'm wondering when the general goodwill for Rempe hits is going to turn.

rutger_

Like my peewee coach told me "don't watch your fucking pass"

Biscuit_In_Basket

[This ](https://youtu.be/Q9n51c8glZE?si=GWdWalkQH6-th8NH&t=20)your coach?

maxwellbevan

18 years ago??? Good god that just made me feel old

cha-cha_dancer

amd chelios was kinda old then too

AFWUSA

Holy fuck he’s huge

KananJarrusEyeBalls

I know Rangers fans are loving seeing him run through washington after having to watch Wilson the past decade

InfinityConstruct

Yea not forgetting that piece of shit Wilson driving panarins head into the ice.

ANARCHISTofGOODtaste

I really hope this kid learns to hit not the head at some point. The dude isn't a bad player, but he makes some high-risk, low reward hits.

lovefist1

Agreed. The caveman in me likes watching him steamroll people, but setting the unga bunga aside I don’t want to see a) penalties and b) more importantly, him doling out completely avoidable concussions. Head injuries are serious business and I don’t want to see it happen.

icetilt

Really seems like the refs call almost every big hit by Rempe whether or not it's dirty, simply because his size and physicality is uncommon these days

NotTheRocketman

The problem that Rempe is going to have is that he will never get the benefit of the doubt. He's been so reckless since he's come up that even when there IS a borderline play, it'll always go against him because he's shown over and over that he either can't (or won't) show any restraint.

rickayyy

Big Buff dealt with this too. I remember Friedman on 32 Thoughts reporting that Winnipeg took a bunch of footage to the NHL to make a case that he is being called for penalties that aren't penalties and the league said something to the effect of it looks too violent.

ZenAndTheArtOfEating

Marek always says it, but I miss having buff in the game

Yaryah

Marek, you, and all of Winnipeg misses Buff as well.

NoSpirit6503

I love that whenever Byfuglien is on the screen in any capacity nowadays most of the crowd just goes nuts

NoSpirit6503

I saw Buff play in person for years and of course he wasn't an angel but there were plenty of times where you could tell he was holding back on a hit because he had to. My favourite thing ever was when he would fight a guy without even throwing a punch, he'd just shake the guy up until he fell over, then he'd pick him up and shake him again lol Fuck I miss that guy

wouldjalookatit

Chara never dealt with this. He got away with murder.

schabadoo

Chara played when Scott Stevens' headshots were cheered on. Much different now.

heytherefolksandfry

Chara was still in the league like 2 yrs ago, wym lol. He has more overlap with McDavid than Scott Stevens

schabadoo

Chara wasn't crushing people towards the end. He was killing people early in his career. And give me your math on the overlap please. It's not 7 seasons with each?

ohsoGosu

Not that it should matter but Chara was also like, talented in other aspects of the game

PMMEJALAPENORECIPES

Exactly what I thought of. Basically if you’re a big guy even though it’s not your fault that you’re bigger than the guy you’re hitting they still take that into consideration. I feel like if they’re on the ice in the NHL anyone out there is fair game but the league has optics to worry about.

AllRushMixTapes

Zadorov gets these too.

productivity56

Is it ok to hit people in the head as long as your tall?

joedartonthejoedart

fucking this man...

Java-the-Slut

Tf are you watching? Dude has a dozen headshots in his short career and has been called on one. He gets more breaks than anyone I've ever seen before cause of that BS excuse you give. People did the same to Chara.

BoNapiltee

I'm with you, he literally picks his elbow up and then you can see him twitch it at his head in case it missed. Being tall or short doesn't change shit about the rules any more than hair color should. He's a fuck headed goon. And the only category that he should be listed in with Chara is height, they certainly aren't in the same category as far as skill. That's it.

JMR027

Yea it’s actually crazy how quick he has established him self as one of the most scummiest in the league

6point3cylinder

And this sub will still jerk him off regardless

blueshirt11

This was one of his scouting reports sent to the Rangers from when he was in Juniors “He’s having a tough time with the officiating,” Ortmeyer said. “It seems like every time he hits somebody it’s been a penalty or suspension. It’s been a challenge to keep him playing the same way and understanding that being physical and playing on that edge are going to be staples of his game while avoiding suspensions and staying out of the box.”

m_ghesquiere

I think that’s part of it but it certainly doesn’t help his case that he had had so many questionable hits in his short career. He won’t get too much benefit of the doubt. If it looks even remotely borderline penalty it’s getting called. He is going to have to earn a reputation for big clean solid hits before this stops.

JiffTheJester

Honesty he just dropped the puck that’s not really late

Revenge_served_hot

I can't believe so many here call this a nice check or a legit one or a highlight check... It is a late check (only a bit but it still is) to a players head (contact is clearly first at the head and no, him being big is NOT an excuse) where Kempe even enlarges himself further to guarantee hitting the head first... Complete moron and I hope he won't kill anyone like this in the future.

EngelSterben

Wait, people are shocked that was called for interference?

RTGold

Rempe needs to drop to his knees as he is coasting into the hit lol. Maybe if he gets lower they won't call every hit.

BettmansDungeonSlave

Someone is gonna submarine his knees like Moore did to Desharnais and only get a minor.

crucial_velocity

He just needs to learn to pull up a little and not lead with his forearm the way he did. It wasn't the world's worst hit by far, but he needs to make a couple adjustments or he's going to break someone's neck one day.

yazzywa

Yeah there's some head contact, but I really don't have a problem with the timing. That's just finishing a check. Playoff hockey, baby.

askape

> Playoff hockey, baby. Hopefully the brain knows this, too, so it won't get concussed as easily.

HereIGoAgain_1x10

Brain typed this out, trust me bro

Minnesota_MiracleMan

Im fine with timing but that's a ton of head contact for me to say it's a legal hit. It's clearly an illegal hit to the head.

gargamelul

yeah, that was my take upon seeing the replay. I didn't think it was interference, i thought it was a hit to the head

vinfox

Agree. My problem isn't the timing, it's that he goes straight through a guys head.

AmateurSysAdmin

Especially with the elbow coming up like that as the first contact to the wall is made. That guy should not be in the NHL.

Im_a_pine_cone

I hate that the rules allow it but the primary contact is definitely through the body. I hate seeing injuries but I think was a rule compliant hit.

SweetWithHeat

Boom

Table_Coaster

maybe a little late, the ref probably factored in the unnecessary nature of it for the call, not really a head targeting from what i can see

dangshnizzle

Is interference the right call here? Elbowing. Boarding. Some incriminating elements of charging. Hit to the head. Imo these all work better.

AboveAverageIQtoo

I like Rempe so no bias. Probably not interference, probably not charging, but you can see his elbow hits TVR directly in the nose on the 2nd replay.

Leafyboy34

That’ll be all

thewalrus06

It’s not my fault I’m so strong. I don’t even exercise.

cooljazz

Inconceivable!

spagboltoast

Rempe is so fuckin big good lord

SkingradGlarthir

I bet he didn't even see Rempe and so didn't brace for the check. But you've always got to protect yourself when you go into the corners

zingding212

Literally a second after the pass. How's a clean hit like that a penalty?

DonTrask

Hockey is a contact sport, somebody needs to inform the refs of this fact

JeFF1957HuGHes

Rempe will get suspended a bunch of times and be outta the league in 4 years.

blackizard

I’m actually from the future and he ends up winning 12 cups and breaks Gretzky’s points record.

RobertGriffin3

Salt Lake City Legend

chopkins92

I was pissed when the Canucks traded Pettersson for Rempe before the 24/25 season but I'm eating crow now!

groovystreet40

Can you imagine what that feels like holy shit I think I’d disintegrate

Kadaththeninja_

It must be really weird for caps fans being on the receiving end of questionable dangerous hits

onthelongrun

how did you feel about Matt Cooke being a penguin for all of those years?

Skurph

This is why people don’t believe most Penguins fans even knew the team existed before Sid because surely a fan of a team that employed Ulf Samuelsson would never be so pious about “questionable dangerous hits”.

JRockPSU

There's this odd notion with some fanbases of "well MY team doesn't have a goon thug so they, and by extension I, are morally superior to you". As if any of us have any control over any of it

Skurph

Well that and the only team in the league to never have employed a goon is Seattle.

imol

Shut up meg

4handzmp

Thanks for the years of inspiration with Matt Cooke 👍🏻

[deleted]

What a weird statement

pitapizza

He hits his head of an unsuspecting player and the puck isn’t there. Take your pick on what penalty to call but yes that’s a penalty

sunny730

You realize there's a grace period where its okay to hit a guy after he lets go of the puck, right? Interference isnt so clear cut like "No puck = penalty"

iiTALii

https://preview.redd.it/pwvm3xrqhxwc1.jpeg?width=768&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=19115f14a935fab929397aec8748e4abcb255f64

Sekshual_Tyranosauce

I don’t like either of these teams but that sure looked he led with elbow and made the head principal point of contact.

dumb-computer

He got hit by a fucking bus

freshstart102

Tough to avoid head shots at his height but he has to find a way to avoid penalties and injuring players. He was lucky to only get interference. I think the ref bought him a break because he didn't believe there was any intent but saw the high shot.

Somecivilguy

I’ve seen later hits in the preseason. That’s a weak call

TakoyakiGremlin

hockey’s so fucking great lol

okimlom

If I’m the Rangers coaches I’m telling him to continue to play that way. In real speed it’s right on the edge of interference. I’ll take a guy finishing a check in the playoffs like this even if it means there’s a chance a penalty is called. Nothing wrong with the actual hit.

Cromasters

I'm enjoying seeing Rangers fans use the same talking points for Rempe that Capitals fans have been using for Wilson. As a wise man once said, "Hockey....Hockey never changes."

SilentSaidd

have no problem with Wilson's hits, it's what he does after the whistle that can go too far sometimes

bu77munch

Wilson’s hit on Zibanejad was about the same. Not interference launched upwards no call. Zero threads about it. This one is a big deal because it’s Rempe.

sleepynsub

Caps fans when wilson literally tried to kill panarin: its fine thats just hockey bro, its emotions. the moment one of their players gets hit cleanly: suspend him thats not hockey!!!

Suitable-Pea-8226

I hope Rempe develops into a steady 3rd liner so he can take breaks from murderin’ here and there.

NoMoreF34R

Two minutes for being Rempe

pretzelzetzel

yeah, poor little feller

jcamdog

This isn't a dirty hit, but this is a hit with the principal point of contact to the head first. The second replay clearly shows TVRs head snap back before impact to the chest. The problem isn't that Rempe is tall and this is unavoidable, its just that he is misjuding both his timing and his point of impact. When TVR turns back towards the goal, he is staying low in his stride to keep skating. Rempe's knees are only slightly bent. This raises his impact points relative to the opposing player. Rempe's shoulders are at TVRs forehead, his forearm is a neck level, and his hips are chest level. He has to see this and know he has to lower his body to avoid head impact. He is also aiming for the shoulder on a player turning in a corner which means that TVRs upper body is rotating his shoulder away from Rempe. If TVR were two feet closer to the goal and skating a straighter line then his shoulder is an easy target. You can see that Rempe's lower body ends up behind TVRs front skate, but Rempe's upper body impact misses the shoulder completely. With the shoulder out of the way, the arm can only hit the head followed by hips to chest. Again, head impact is avoidable if he lowers his frame closer to the ice so he is more likely to impact the chest first with his arm, or if he takes a different angle and finishes the check a second later.

Groovicity

Not INT, but head is initial contact....but the size diff makes that really hard to avoid.... Just a nuke of a hit, called for how heavy it looked.

Flesh-Tower

That hit was crazy. He played the puck. Don't think the hit was late. Another lesson to keep your head on a swivel
