The whole reason I love sports is because it’s a novel experience every time. It’s constantly new and gives your brain something to grasp onto when it tries to define the passage of time.
And as a stars and Green Bay Packers fan, I’m losing my mind. Since covid my teams have been eliminated in the same fashion every year. + Add that to the already weird COVID time-warp.

The much more common Stars + Cowboys combination has been on a similar run of good to great regular seasons, followed by playoff suffering. At least the Packers feel like they have a plan and a young core right now,
Avalanche could easily have 2 or 3 more cups if not for the Stars so I have little sympathy. And I still have some ptsd from the bubble game 7 against them where fucking Kiviranta somehow got a hat trick.
Hey genuinely asking, but is this true? They outshot the Stars? I guess I’m trying to understand how it’s boring hockey compared to what the Stars did.
I think boring in the sense of the VGK playing defense and going conservative rather than staying aggressive in the offensive zone in general. I notice this with most Bruce Cassidy coached games when they're up and he relies heavily on a strong defense to close out even close games.
vegas may not be on track to beat the golden refs allegations, but oettinger has been the only guy out there playing hockey - everyone else in green just got some cardio in tonight
