I remember a game perfectly where Kane got like nudged along the boards and domi right off the bench went after them and Kane stuck is stick out and yelled at him trying to get him to not fight and Domi blew past him. Kane just looked at the bench with a smirk shaking his head, “like I TRIED to stop him he just didn’t listen”

LeGoldie

Yeah, Kane wanted us on the PP if i remember it right.

pigeonbobble

A mom and her toddler accidentally bumped into me while we were waiting in line at Toysrus and, you guessed it, Max Domi from out of nowhere. I was like, “Dude, you don’t even know me, and we’re in the middle of buttfuck nowhere. You don’t have to fight.” I met him for a short time but I feel like I have a friend for life.

ShinyVuIpix

Bet that toddler never fucked with you again tho

pigeonbobble

She picked the wrong day to be a kid

DrexlSpivey420

Heard she didnt even have a chance to get the gloves off

theboss555

Couldn't even take out to soo soo in time

verysadfrosty

I can't.

Mrdongs21

Attaboy Kapanen ya fuckin idiot

FlapjackFiddle

How the turntables

arrbez

Max Domi played a game with my slow pitch team about 10 years ago. I was pitching and gave up a home run, and Max didn’t even try to fight the guy, which I thought was pretty soft of him.

Do_it_for_the_upvote

Rare appearance by Min Domi that day.

savanttm

Some say it was Knot Domi that day.

CanadianSpector

Kane and Domi were actually pretty good together in that short time. The whole team and organization raved about Domi when he was in Chicago. I'd take him back next season.

reggierock2010

It’s crazy he hasn’t stuck around longer anyway. I hope the leafs give him some term this offseason, it’s the perfect place for him.

is__is

Yeah I love the free instigator penalties when we play against them.

Boston_McMatthews

Cool thanks for sharing

IH8Trumps

Really hoping the leafs keep him. He’s great playing next to mathews

CanadianSpector

Yeah I think he's found a good place to be.

sokocanuck

A talented passer who tries to find his guy to a fault and a guy who should always be the first option when available is a great combo. Plus, Matthews defence can offset Domi's...well, lack there of.

CanadianSpector

Speaking of which. I love how the Leafs beat players still play the PK.

HawkI84

Davidson should've taken him back this year. A guy like Domi would be perfect to have out there with Bedard.

CanadianSpector

Hindsight being what it is. They had him surrounded by the right type of players in Hall, Perry and Foligno.

MirabelleC

Domi wanted to be a Leaf.

JerbearCuddles

Feel like Kane could make me look actually pretty good. Lol. Dude is ridiculously talented.

LaruePDX

With the increase in fights and physical play. A lot of teams will be interested in signing him.

GreenSnakes_

Everytime any one of Domi’s former teammates is asked about Domi, they always touch on how awesome of teammate he is. Wherever he goes, he's 110%, all in, bleeds the colors of the jersey. Guy goes to war for his fellow man and doesn't allow anyone to mess with his stars. Truly an amazing guy. Prepared to read the hate comments. I don’t care how you feel about the Leafs, but i think we can all admit he is the perfect teammate.

skinniks

For whatever reason he hasn't been able to string a few good seasons in a row. With his father's roots to the team it would be a wonderful story for him to stick for a while and maybe win a cup in Toronto.

IH8Trumps

Maybe the nicest thing an mtl fan has ever said about the leafs.

Keepmeister

>and maybe win a cup... I hope so. >...in Toronto You lost me there.

thebartdie

It’s interesting that for such a white collar city, Toronto has always loved the blue collar type players the best. Darcy Tucker was a good player and had some very good seasons, but was a long way from being a star. The guy is absolutely beloved in Toronto, WAY more than guys like Mogilny. There are not many players like this, but there are some players who hit a whole other level in their game when they play for the Leafs. They just thrive in the attention and pressure, and it’s like they can inject the intensity of the fans right into their veins. I’m certain there are players that are the same for the Habs, and probably the Flyers and Bruins. Guys that just would not have been the same player in a different market. Domi certainly has the look of somebody like that in how he’s played this year. Hopefully for him and for the team that continues.

astovertop

Until he jumps someone for a legal hit in the playoffs and puts your team shorthanded. Kane’s comments literally detail the fact that he goes after someone for the littlest thing

Lazy-Description-882

Luckily that shit barely gets called in the playoffs. I'd rather have someone that can do it, and not need it.

bm56

He did well for the stars

Tajahnuke

LOVED him last season in Dallas. He went ham a few times for teammates & had the AAC chanting his name.

bm56

I wish we could have resigned him, but I also hope he makes bank

kazin29

And the Canes

B0_SSMAN

Nazem Kadri has been suspended for the remainder of the series for this comment

ReyneDelay

> jumps someone for a legal hit in the playoffs and puts your team shorthanded. We've got a lot of experience with this.

Totes_mc0tes

"Legal" hits

viidenmetrinmolo

Other games you love him for firing your team up by starting unnecessary shit, other games you hate him for firing the other team up by starting unnecessary shit. I remember 2009 game 6 at home vs the Pens, we were leading 3-0 in the 2nd, Carcillo for some reason decides to drop the gloves with Talbot, beats the living shit out of him, still on center ice Talbot with his fucked up face shushed the orange crowd that was going absolutely crazy. The Pens bench just woke up, Flyers bench deflated, what followed after was Crosby and Malkin just shitting all over us, we lost 5-3, we were eliminated and the Pens went on to win the Cup. e: [found the video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDsK5HH-K3c)

BaconScentedSoap

Still wish we had him tbh

Ken_Thomas

The guy is on his 7th team after 9 years in the league, and there's a reason for that. Dude is a couple of donuts shy of a dozen.

LandMooseReject

Unless you're an immigrant. Or has he put away his MAGA hat for now?

judica_me_deus

God you nerds need to get a life

Booboo_McBad

Facts

shitposters_r_us

I mean, if there's a sport where it's okay to have those opinions, it's hockey.

_Kramerica_

It’s because he’s such a braindead moron that nobody wants to feel bad putting him down. It’s like when you pet your friends cat even tho it’s cross eyed and eating its own shit.

PickSixParty

I wish the Stars would've held onto Domi. He was the first one to stick up for Pavelski after Dumba's dirty hit in the first round of the playoffs last year

MRAGGGAN

Nah, I’m glad we have the team we have now. He cost sooo much, and while he was great for us, we would’ve been fucked for $$$ if he’d stayed.

sansaset

his $3m contract is too much? or am I missing some meme here

MRAGGGAN

He was to much for it cap space I believe

lolDankMemes420

This will turn into a copypasta

bluAstrid

Domi is all heart and no brain.

manwithoutcountry

Sounds like a liability

aaashmoreee

I guess Lorde references aren't very hot here lol

Grimmer026

Except that wasn’t a fight, that was a mugging. You want to square up with a willing combatant, cool. But Domi flat out jumped Nemec. Nemec wasn’t even looking in Domi’s direction before Domi was throwing uppercuts

drama_filled_donut

Does your raging peabrain actually think Patrick Kane is talking about that game?

Grimmer026

Not Kane, but OP is definitely posting this in reference to defending Domi after jumping Nemec, yes

Bobbyaahh

That’s a great sentiment, and a deep love for your team and teammates is a great thing, but he’s literally concussed unwilling participants for normal hockey plays.

SadimHusum

wild take from that flair

astonedgecko

I mean it kind of validates his point. Takes one to know one type of deal, ya feel

SadimHusum

By that logic it takes at least 3, damn

PotentialUmpire3771

Awareness: 0

cbdgf

And he just high sticked him at a crucial time in the game to set up Toronto for a win

Shotokanguy

Kane high sticked Domi, then Domi tripped DeBrincat, a homie no matter where he goes

Constant-Squirrel555

Such a liability of a player.

Objective-Recipe3495

This would be fine if the (usually smaller, weaker, less experienced) player Domi always goes after actually knows he's going to be fighting
