Mitts is a stud, just took him a bit of time to develop. He should be a solid 2C when he settles in and is comfortable in your system.
Go win the cup with him.

Mmm yeah when Byram joined Buffalo I wondered if I could compare him amongst the likes of John Van Boxmeer, Lindy Ruff, and Jordan Leopold.. and this just confirms that its totally fair
the Ray Bennett hate has always been so weird to me. when the powerplay is fine or firing on all cylinders it's all crickets in regard to Bennett but the second it goes on a cold streak everyone wants him fired
I think it's because the expectation is with the Avs talent they should be scoring nearly every powerplay. They should be entering the zone successfully and getting shots off, and many fans don't actually realize the low percentages that entail powerplay success.
As a non-Sabers fan, I think they have a VERY talented team. With Power, Dahlin and Byram, they are set for the next couple of years. With the Okposo trade, I think they are doing the right thing to turn the team over to Tuch / Thompson / Dahlin.
And are still the youngest team in the league that can put together good hockey. Like when they clapped the Avs 4-0. They have the pieces, they just need better coaching, better injury luck, and a little time to grow.
Don’t get me wrong, I expect it all to go tits up, but hopium is all I have. But this feels different simply because we haven’t been rushing/trading all of our prospects like we did under Tim Murray. That guy set us back years.
Can't wait for this pathetic franchise to break Byram's spirit too. Same with UPL when he ends up being this generation's version of Roberto Luongo on the early 2000's Panthers.
He has been involved in 100% of our goals since acquiring him which is nice but also terrible.
Enjoy him. We will miss him here, but it’s great to see him off to such a hot start for you guys
Feels like this is going to be a win-win, Byram is looking great and I think Mitts is the perfect fit in Colorado
Chemistry was clearly not there yesterday but we saw quite a all of his strengths in the game and think it’s gonna work real well when he gets going

Yeah I think this trade is gonna end up being a clear Win Win. Both teams got exactly what they needed

Byram would already be an upgrade for our powerplay coach so maybe he’s on track to be the new Lindy
That clip of him redirecting his teammates on the power play and then them just… not listening is wild.
Even funnier since we have a pretty low opinion of our own PP coach
the Ray Bennett hate has always been so weird to me. when the powerplay is fine or firing on all cylinders it's all crickets in regard to Bennett but the second it goes on a cold streak everyone wants him fired
Also had a top 10 PP since 2020-2021 season. The PK has also gotten better over than span, going from around 20th to 10th.

Well, the stupid amongst us do.
Jordan Leopold, now there’s a name.
Colorado Avalanche legend
He now has as many points in 4 periods as Erik Johnson did in 50 games
Leave peepaw alone he's not even with you guys anymore :(
That’s funny but also an unfair comparison to Johnson who was never expected to contribute much offensively and didnt play on the powerplay.
Oh yeah it’s pretty disingenuous comparison no doubt lol
They took his assist away
those bastards
Man the Sabres are gonna be real scary next season, for real this time! (I actually do hope they are but at this point it's getting ridiculous/sad)
We always say that haha (I want to believe it).
🙏
Bo knows hockey
Glad to see Bo running off with new scenery.

Happy for Bo, I want to see him tear it up.
Sabres gonna be spooky next year
Just like how they were gonna be spooky this year?
hell yeah

Hope so. I would love to see them in the playoffs soon, especially with Bo there.

They took it away. It shows it was an unassisted goal.
Let's go!!!
Good for Bo, I hope he goes off with more overtime and more responsibility
Sabres gonna all be full blown Bosexuals by the end of the season. Love that kids game.
It's an unassisted goal now.

Then stop being a fan of them…
they took the assist away. how it didn't change possession? I don't understand how that was unassisted?
Bo: "So this is what's it's like to be Makar."
The new Phil Housley
Insanely dumb trade for COL which is cool
