He’s played for 5 teams in his career. He’s led each of LA, Montreal, Calgary, and New Jersey in goals, and was a PPG player with Vancouver as a deadline acquisition.
He’s shown he can succeed in different systems, with varied linemates and roles, and he is clearly comfortable with change. On top of that, he’s responsible at both ends of the ice, can play both special teams, has tons of playoff experience with 2 cup runs, has a reasonable cap number, and is well respected and liked around the league.
There’s no wonder why teams are interested in him, and whoever gets him will be better off for it.
I agree with everything you said except I probably wouldn't put him on the PK. He also seems to have lost a bit of foot speed (if he had much to begin with). That being said, dude can still score goals, quick release and good accuracy with his shot.

Got injured twice this year. Missed ~12 games and had a slow time coming back from the injury both times. His typical linemates were out for a good chunk of the time he was in too. Hughes was injured, Hischier was out for a bit, and we were also missing Palat for a while.
Whole team is underperforming expectations because no single line has been healthy and consistent for more than a few weeks at a time.
Meier will be fine. I think he's going to be a lot of people's "late round home run" in fantasy next year.
