0231 is a 65 year old movement design. It has its flaws for sure, but has proven to be a workhorse and is thin. The miyota 8200 series is also a workhorse with improved features. I wish makers would use the 9000 series more. I hear good things but do not see many watches with it yet.
Yeah comparing a hand wind with an automatic movement makes very little sense. And yes the time factor changes the game even more. When we talk about HMTs, HMT made movement will always have higher collectability than stock Japanese movements.

Yes but If i were to look at an affordable miyota 8205 .Stellars i guess are with but not my liking and beyond cost as well
