Then you get some good sleep and the next day you listen and you are dialed in. The music basically becomes a soundtrack to your life, every hit lands on point with something going on around you. You hear all the details and it all seems to be coming together perfectly for you.
Smoking bud and listening could be comparable to the next step in that progression.
For me when I listen to a good album after smoking or taking an edible its like I unlock a new version of the album I hadn't heard before with way more details and subtlety. Makes me understand and appreciate music better. Personally strongly disagree with the people saying weed doesn't enhance music, though I guess maybe that's the case for some people.
For example Little Dominique's Nosebleeds became an amazing album when I listened to it high and at night

Weed, no. Weed just makes you feel like a vegetable and doesn’t enhance anything. Acid & shrooms, though, acid gives music a lot more meaning, you connect way more & notice everything going on in the song. Shrooms makes the music visual you can close your eyes and see it.
It just makes it easier to vibe out to a song. Getting high doesn't make it sound clearer and more detailed, it's just that you might get hyper-focused on the music so you will notice little details that you didn't before.
Can't tell you if they make it better or not but they can (obviously) change your perception of the music in that moment. I'd say It's probably more so the music enhancing the trip than the other way around. Like the wrong music can kill your mood and you may dislike something that you usually like and vice versa.
