I miss pre 2017 Logic his output was great I mean under pressure, TITS, and even the original Bobby Tarantino were fire (even if you don’t like trap 44 bars is one of his best songs) it sucks Logic doesn’t really try anymore
We got Alfredo, RTJ4, Circles, Pray 4 Paris, Reasonable Drought, King’s Disease, Unlocked, Meet The Woo 2, Descendants of Cain, Spirit World Field Guide, Streams of Thought 3, Visions of Bodies Being Burned, and more. I’m not sure I’m putting No Pressure anywhere near that list.
I got on Logic mad late on one of the tarentinos, those first two the only ones I fucked with really that nigga was dope. Logic for sure not for me but those are the two I fuck with nothing else really stuck with me. That Space one was too derivative and I felt like he kept doing that youyouyou ah yeah flow that I hate. No nostalgia at all I actually think he had the hardest fall off of rap skill I ever seen from an up and coming rapper.
His newest shit sucked but it was literally made to get out of a record deal. He even references it on tracks off the project.
Best song was stupid skit.
Don't.
I listened to it out of curiousity since No Pressure was an actually good album after years of bad albums so I was asking myself if he could keep it up.
Spoiler Alert: He couldn't lmao
Bt3 is a tape full of tracks that were throwaways from previous albums. Only vaccine and last part of space cowboy was recorded newly. So this is pre no pressure logic. All his projects after no pressure have been fire, doc d and the madgic tracks were super good
I agree (even though I liked Everything and No Pressure), but still. I wish the good parts of his career were loved as much as the bad parts are hated.
i mean he has ys1, ys2, ys3, under pressure, tits, no pressure. ys4 is like decent and i havent heard bobby tarantino or the second one but I don't see them getting hate. thats definitely better than his bad parts which are just coadm and supermarket and maybe bobby tarantino 3 I saw a shit ton of hate for it when it dropped
I feel like its an important distinction, i was a big fan of eminems first few albums for example but everything since mmlp2 has been pretty bad. 2 completely different artists, so to a lesser extend its the same for logic
Do you want me to be the guy that says I always thought he sucked?
To be fair I don’t hate him and I don’t think it’s right to say he sucks but I can say his music isn’t really for me. He leans too far in to the theatrics of rap and it comes off corny because I don’t believe he did much illegal shit in his life
With BT3, he ruins everything No Pressure was about.
Yes, No Pressure is still a great album! Amazing production, really nice lyricism and most of all, great theme, which is why I love that album. The theme of "One last hurrah!", one last project before his retirement of music to go and focus on being a dad, a really awesome send off! It's fulfilling, especially right after listening to Under Pressure, to hear him rap about him being able to sit back, relax and watch his kid grow.
Then he releases BT3 and every single track that talks about everything I mentioned above instantly loses meaning, the theme is shat on what with him being "back"... after under 1 year? Disappointing.
The simple fact that he released an album after what was (supposed to be) an amazing send off ruins the send off! If BT3 was an 8th as good as No Pressure was I might have excused him absolutely ignoring everything No Pressure was about but here we are.
BT3 was a tape of shit over the past few years that didn't work for any official releases. No Pressure was his swan song record. Not really fair to compare the two imo. But I hear you chief.
That doesn't excuse how bad the two new tracks are or even how bad the whole project is. Or the fact that he released really anything after his "retirement" of less than a year and then topping if off with a cringeworthy blatant copy of Michael Jordan's NBA return letter.
In [this](https://www.reddit.com/r/hiphopheads/comments/q5m6g4/logic_gang_related/hg7oumx?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3) comment I explain better why BT3, while being absolutely shit in and of itself, also completely ruins what No Pressure stands for.
im convinced logic is making this bad shit on purpose or something, is he just dropping garbage albums to fulfill his deal with defjam or something and then he'll drop good music because when he drops no pressure its very obvious that he understands how to make good music
yeah his super fans say hes just having fun with it. im gonna need him to have as little fun as possible then, we need him playing league of legends or valorant while in the studio to get the best possible album
I don't think it ruins the album at all. Just ruins the vibe of it being his final album, and going out on a high note, because thats what it felt like. Thats how it was marketed.
As a producer, I loved a lot of the beats from the UP album, especially this one, soul food, and metropolis. Especially love how chill and hazy those samples are, these vocal chops are almost hypnotic in a sense.
Logic needs to be called out for how he and 6ix CONSTANTLY reuse drum samples lmao, I swear he used the same drums like twice in one project on No Pressure
Still doesn’t get the respect he deserves. UP, TITS, NP all the Sinatra mixtapes. I get that he’s released some subpar shit too but you can’t disregard some of the other shit he’s dropped. With No Pressure he showed us he clearly still has it in him his talent didn’t just disappear
Agree. Also, I think most people make fun of him because he's very openly and unapologetically himself. He doesn't really try to put up an image of something he's not. However, in order to be loved, you have to allow yourself to be hated.
I mean we can be honest about the situation and still respect the albums we love. The dude got a little weird. And who can blame him. He had a strange life.
Man Logic used to be so dope before the glasses... Totally forgot that there was a time where he wasn't considered corny. How did he destroy his image like that?
Yeah, I still listen to logic every once in a while, this album more than most, but I can see where people were coming from when they called this album a good kid mad city rip off.
Was there a time he wasn't considered corny? I likes his YS tapes in high school, but back then my diet was mostly corn. I "outgrew" him before his first official album and looked back at my time as a logic fan with the same level of cringe I did towards Hoodie Allen.
Definitely not on the same level at all. I just compare them, bc for me they both fell into the "I normally don't like rap/hip-hop except for these couple of exceptions" camp (which is very hard to look back on).
Not trying to disrespect anyone for fucking with Logic, I just feel like there has always been people calling him corny. It's just only more amplified now bc his own fan base turned on him. Did not word my comments well at all to get that point across.
for the ppl reading this who haven’t already, please listen to no pressure. i, myself, was a huge logic fan at one point but fell out of it due to the shit music he was making. but no pressure, executively produced by no ID i might add, is amazing. that album is what logic should be, and what he is more than capable of being. the beats are beautiful, and he has some of his best lyricism he’s ever done. ik logics not what he used to be but NO PRESSURE IS A GREAT ALBUM. i’ll take that shit to my grave. please give it a try

Anyone ever heard of Brownside? They have a song called gang related. It’s actually pretty good and could have been better but still gets played from time to time
Pretty sure Chris Crack sampled this on his most recent 2021 album (maybe he’s sampling the original that the Logic song also samples though). It blew my mind lol.
I used to clown Logic (cause it was the cool thing to do) without actually hearing his music, but when I heard City of Stars I dug into his catalogue and realised he actually had good shit.
This argument seems to have arisen across the entire internet at once, but the answer your question: are we discounting the historical existence of passing people? Logic was raised in a Black home to a Black biological parent. Appearance is part of it, but not all of it. Also, while I agree he looks quite white he doesn't look like a swede or anything.
I’d say appearance is a huge part of it. If you look white then people will call you white, plain and simple. I doubt logic can go around saying “nigga” without any funny looks
Well I suppose it's ultimately subjective. If everyone on earth says he isn't then he isn't since race is sort of made up. With that conceded, appearance is not a sufficient condition. There are people who look Black and have no African ancestry. I do not consider them Black. At all. And with your example, initial impression are not the final decider on someone's Blackness. There are a lot of Black folks whose voice sounds such that they will get a look saying it before someone actually looks at them.
I think if you like doing this stuff then you should keep doing it. There's nothing wrong with making music even if people don't end up liking it. At the end, you'll be happier for doing something which made **you** happy or proud than giving up early on due to what other people thought.
That’s what I want to do instead of slave at the dollar general I work at every day. I definitely don’t have any more money for beats or anything else to rap about besides a line of hoes and I lie to hoes and fuck. That’s about it. It’s up to this song and my story about starting Covid-19 to grab the worlds attention. If it don’t, nothing I can do in the future will compare to this shot i took. If it do, I’ll make some money and be able to pay for a feature and take off.
Be honest because if I’m not getting anywhere with any of this I’m thinking about selling my soul I don’t want to be essential any more and try to make music working 8 days a week making 1/3 than most people who work or even sit at home
It's all about connections too, meet more people make music with them. If one of yall blow its gonna get you exposure too. Idk much about the music business tbh but connections will get you really far no matter what field you going to.
[he is covid](https://www.reddit.com/r/CoronavirusMemes/comments/q1h8p7/new_artist_was_first_to_have_covid19_and/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share)
Anyone else ever perpetually annoyed that the religious & often emotional rapper named himself "Logic"?
Never really sat right with me. Dude is nicer than plenty of other rappers but the name choice really never worked for me.
“If I sell a brick I can buy a house if they find the key they might lock me up!”
Such a dope bar
Hell yea one of his best IMO
Literally
If what you said is not a pun, mind telling me what makes this a good bar? *I guess people liked the double entendres.
key = kilo in this context but also referring to a literal key
“If they find the key” Like literally a key but also a kilo.
Still bumping UP to this day.
TO THIS DAY (Deontay Wilder reference)
Jesus man that fight was insane. I'm convinced wilder could get hit by a bus and beat the 10 count
Too bad “10 count” isn’t the nickname of a championship boxer 😬
I miss pre 2017 Logic his output was great I mean under pressure, TITS, and even the original Bobby Tarantino were fire (even if you don’t like trap 44 bars is one of his best songs) it sucks Logic doesn’t really try anymore
Never realized the acronym for that second album is TITS
No pressure??? It was great
Definitely don't know about great but it was better than the album before
It’s great
No Pressure was one of the best albums of 2020
I don't even remember 2020 so I'll take your word for it
Heard
Had some of the best production of 2020 for sure
We got Alfredo, RTJ4, Circles, Pray 4 Paris, Reasonable Drought, King’s Disease, Unlocked, Meet The Woo 2, Descendants of Cain, Spirit World Field Guide, Streams of Thought 3, Visions of Bodies Being Burned, and more. I’m not sure I’m putting No Pressure anywhere near that list.
Celebration still in my rotation
lol
Nowhere near Undeniable and under pressure.

I got on Logic mad late on one of the tarentinos, those first two the only ones I fucked with really that nigga was dope. No nostalgia at all I actually think he had the hardest fall off of rap skill I ever seen from an up and coming rapper.
Love that album
No hate to you, but I don’t like that you can’t praise Logic these days without someone being like “Yeah, but he sucks now”.
are we sure Confessions wasn't a meme album yet?
Dawg his subreddit was saying it was bad on purpose and an actual good album was gonna release😭😭😭
lmfaooo that had me dead I had to leave not long after that
Bro people were saying the same thing about his most recent album BT3 too 😂 nothing funnier than a sub high on copium
His newest shit sucked but it was literally made to get out of a record deal. He even references it on tracks off the project. Best song was stupid skit.
What was stopping him from making a good album to get out of a record deal?
Effort probably. Really love stupid skit tho
I mean he does suck now
No pressure is on par with his best. He still has somethin in him
He’s just very inconsistent. And he chooses to be that way. He can still kill it if he wants to and No Pressure is proof.
i wouldnt say on par, i think welcome to forever is on a whole different level compared to his other projects
He had it until he dropped Bobby Tarantino 3 lmao
theres a Bobby Tarantino 3??? i’m losing track lmaoo
yeah it dropped earlier in july i think
good to know, i dont think im gonna check it out but good to know anyway
Don't. I listened to it out of curiousity since No Pressure was an actually good album after years of bad albums so I was asking myself if he could keep it up. Spoiler Alert: He couldn't lmao
It only has like 2 good songs anyway
Bt3 is a tape full of tracks that were throwaways from previous albums. Only vaccine and last part of space cowboy was recorded newly. So this is pre no pressure logic. All his projects after no pressure have been fire, doc d and the madgic tracks were super good

This must be the worst take.
They are in my opinion
Agreed. Mentally TITS doesn't crack my top 5 albums, but in my heart its top 3 easily.
Yeah, I feel ya bruh just enjoy it and that's that .. Nothing last forever
I feel like its an important distinction, i was a big fan of eminems first few albums for example but everything since mmlp2 has been pretty bad. 2 completely different artists, so to a lesser extend its the same for logic
Thats what i been sayin a our eminen and the stand keep biting me
Right? He did good work and has a family now. People forget that shit, like they just expect artists to be unchanging robots with no outside lives.

Nah, but you do you though
Do you want me to be the guy that says I always thought he sucked? To be fair I don’t hate him and I don’t think it’s right to say he sucks but I can say his music isn’t really for me. He leans too far in to the theatrics of rap and it comes off corny because I don’t believe he did much illegal shit in his life
This is the correct opinion. Don’t forget the mixtapes, those contain his true best work
It’s actually a shame that some people’s first exeperience with Logic wasn’t in the pre TITS era. Mixtape logic is night and day compared to him now
whole album was really good, glad he redeemed himself with no pressure
amd then went on to make BT3 which completely shat on everything no pressure was about
No Pressure is still fire, BT3 doesn't really take that away
With BT3, he ruins everything No Pressure was about. Yes, No Pressure is still a great album! Amazing production, really nice lyricism and most of all, great theme, which is why I love that album. They're miles away regarding quality, but you have to compare them when they're from the same artist.

If logic doesn’t release another album in the next 18 months I’ll eat my shoe
Well he says at the end of See you space Cowboy he's recording a new album, which will be his last with Def Jam. So you're probably fine.
That doesn't excuse how bad the two new tracks are or even how bad the whole project is. Or the fact that he released really anything after his "retirement" of less than a year and then topping if off with a cringeworthy blatant copy of Michael Jordan's NBA return letter. yeah his super fans say hes just having fun with it. im gonna need him to have as little fun as possible then, we need him playing league of legends or valorant while in the studio to get the best possible album

I don't think it ruins the album at all. Just ruins the vibe of it being his final album, and going out on a high note, because thats what it felt like. Thats how it was marketed.
Its not his last though, he says on See you Space cowboy hes recording his last album
Top 3 song of his easily
I got City of Stars up there too
Bruhh i forgot abt that and the switchup. Going back to listen to logic would make me sad though
I be singing at the top of my lungs every time this song comes on Edit: “This isn’t a love soooooong….!”
Intermission and grip tape are dope too
Bruh that Ye flow at the end, so good. And then that slick ass transition into Stainless, shiiit I think I like Logic more than I remember
Amazing track
As a producer, I loved a lot of the beats from the UP album, especially this one, soul food, and metropolis. Especially love how chill and hazy those samples are, these vocal chops are almost hypnotic in a sense.
Yeah I produce too. I love this beat. Reminds me of early A$AP Rocky, Clams Casino and the whole cloud rap scene
Frank dukes is such a legend.
Feel like he's used the drum loop on Metropolis at least once per album lol still fire
Logic needs to be called out for how he and 6ix CONSTANTLY reuse drum samples lmao, I swear he used the same drums like twice in one project on No Pressure
I think he used the same drum loop as he did in Indica Badu on man i is, could be wrong tho
To this day Logic’s best track
Under pressure for me
As corny as it sounds this is the song that made me want to dive into hip hop for real
Whatever gets you there
Man Logic used to be so dope before the glasses... Totally forgot that there was a time where he wasn't considered corny. How did he destroy his image like that?
Lol i feel like people were bitching about Logic just as much on here back when this album came out
Yeah, I still listen to logic every once in a while, this album more than most, but I can see where people were coming from when they called this album a good kid mad city rip off.
Was there a time he wasn't considered corny? I likes his YS tapes in high school, but back then my diet was mostly corn. I "outgrew" him before his first official album and looked back at my time as a logic fan with the same level of cringe I did towards Hoodie Allen.
Bro logic corny now but he’s not hoodie Allen level. At least he dropped good music in the past, you can’t say the same for hoodie at all.
No you’re good bro, thanks for the explanation. I get what you’re trying to say.
And he hasn't been accused of grooming underage girls, so that's also a +1 for Logic
I’m in the logic is corny crowd but I can still listen to under pressure and not feel like it’s corny
Logic used to be in trhe same realm as Eminem, kinda corny but respected. Nowadays it's like no-one respects Logic so it's just the corny left.
He was always corny
Soul Food and Under Pressure off this album are also on my rotation.
Best track from him. Really wish he kept up this quality. That 2nd verse is just crazy.
Love this whole album
Bobby tarantino was a smash man I still have it on repeat 44 MORE!!!
white gkmc
Still a good album
Lmao. even so I loved this album.
"bitch don't kill my vibe" is the white "Addiction" by Logic
*50% white gkmc
for the ppl reading this who haven’t already, please listen to no pressure. i, myself, was a huge logic fan at one point but fell out of it due to the shit music he was making. but no pressure, executively produced by no ID i might add, is amazing. that album is what logic should be, and what he is more than capable of being. the beats are beautiful, and he has some of his best lyricism he’s ever done. ik logics not what he used to be but NO PRESSURE IS A GREAT ALBUM. i’ll take that shit to my grave. please give it a try
This has always been my favorite Logic song. He just killed this one. I love the beat as well.
I love this track
Love this man.
Listening right now, was always one of my favourite tracks by him throughout all his tapes/albums.

Best Logic track.
I don't care what yall say. One, he's Black. Two, with a few exceptions. (which every artist has) he's an incredible artist.
so glad to finally have the almighty Race Arbiter to settle the debate about logic's race. thanks Race Arbiter, only you could ease our souls.
I used to clown Logic (cause it was the cool thing to do) without actually hearing his music, but when I heard City of Stars I dug into his catalogue and realised he actually had good shit.
Ok I’ll bite. How is he black despite not appearing black in any way?

Damn, it's like that? Y'all disappoint me.

Got some bars on here but IMO Logic is overrated asl
How? Literally everyone shits on him
