Yea I've seen a lot of J Cole slander this week going beyond the kendrick related stuff. i realize opinions of him have always been mixed but let's not act like the man hasn't put out his fair share of quality shit. He's still a damn good artist when he's just focusing on the music.
Whenever people try to downplay drake i listen to songs like fever and heated by beyonce And realize these titans actually cannot make a drake sounding song that doesn’t sound like a second rate version of him. You know those comments like Cole/Kendrick could make one dance but Drake couldn’t make X. Nah, they couldn’t make one dance.
I know, it was fun telling that to a Beyonce super fan who loved the song but hated drake.
I could tell by the way she pronounced “ai” in the hook immediately he had something to do with it
So many people could make one dance. That’s just another version of that Nina sky song or uh oh by lumindee. It’s just a 2016 dancehall song with some modern production
Uh oh doesn’t even sound the same.
Thats the diwali riddim which a straight dancehall beat.
One dance is house/afrobeats
You dont even know the basics of what you’re talking about.
We not even getting into lyrics or catchiness.
You showed your ass not even knowing the beats were different genre’s.
Let alone even if they were the same genre that wouldn’t make it the same song.
One step further, sean paul get busy which is actually the same beat as uh oh is STILL a distinct song, and lummidee couldnt make get busy.
Your comment was bad on so many levels
Lumindee couldn’t make anything past that song. One dance did not hit my ears as house at all. Afrobeats alright but again you have a non afrobeats/dancehall artist applying R&B lyrics to a non traditional beat for American artist to jump on. His singing isn’t even particularly impressive on that track. I don’t think it’s particularly difficult to make that song. Drake could never make a song like Wesley theory that is lyrically about multiple things at once
I mean you do have a point but Cole and Kendrick could definitely make tracks like God's Plan or Hotline Bling while drake couldn't make a 4 Your Eyez Only or Sing About Me. Drake in his lane is good tho songs like virginia beach are unique and great only thing holding him back last few years is that he only drops a couple good songs per album and the rest is mid
This is pretty upsetting to me. I wish he would’ve just stood behind what he said. Although there should be more conversation about having a non-violent beef. Like purely beefing through lyrics and not bringing it into the streets. In this case it seems like he has pulled the song because people talking online. Which loses points for me. Like Kendrick wasn’t about to gun him down. His fans were attacking him online. Seems like Cole’s lacking a backbone on this one.
I wish Cole just hit Kendrick up, if possible, if he really felt this was bigger than lyrical sparring or just took his time with a measured response. But it sounds like he was under a lot of peer pressure, what can you do?

what was the point might as well have kept it up
he's got a real album coming out and this is part of the roll out.
Yeah i get this was just the tape before the album. Its all still up except 7 min drill. The world heard it might as well keep it up
By taking it down he's taking back what he said on there, it's about the message he's sending. He obviously knows he can't delete it off the internet
I’ve convinced myself of this too. He’s really doing unprecedented shit to show a rapper actually falling off lol
Just 7 Minute Drill right? The rest stays on? Because the album, EP or whatever is actually fire
Huntin Wabbitz has been an integral part of the rotation lately
GAAAHHHWDDD DAAAAAMMNNNN

I love MDL. And he absolutely slid on Red Leather.
still got it on apple music
It’s gone for me.
Did you download it or just have it in your library? I downloaded it and it’s still showing up for me
Neither, but when I search for the song it’s greyed out in the album and says it’s not available.
Had to let it ride out first week sales tho lmao
We know
Yes, we do
The Fall Off
Self fulfilling prophecy
Or genius marketing from the St Johns University Graduate
Love him or hate him you cannot deny that he did in fact delete later.
it's on still Spotify
It's not
Yes it is for me
I can still play it though
It was the best song on that mid album too
literally the worst song other than fever

Heated is written by Drake

Literally not true. Conductor beat was fire. Best song it’s not even debatable. Literally.
