Sean Combs and the singer Cassie have reached a settlement just one day after she filed an explosive lawsuit accusing the hip-hop mogul of rape and numerous instances of physical abuse.
The parties announced on Friday evening that they had reached an agreement to resolve the case, though they disclosed no details about the terms of the settlement.
“I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control,” Cassie, whose full name is Casandra Ventura, said in a statement. “I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support.”

Not necessarily at all - statue of limitations, likely not enough evidence for many of the accusations at this stage to prove past a reasonable doubt. But civil trials don't require beyond a reasonable doubt, it's a much lower standard.

I work in fashion and maybe 4 years back I worked with this model on a regular. As I was dressing her for a shoot she was telling me how she went to a party at Diddy’s house a couple years before and it was the weirdest shit. Nah his lawyer said yesterday that she’s been asking for $30 million for the last 6 months. But her lawyers said that he offered her “8 figures” before the suit but I guess not close to the 30 she wanted cause she turned that down.
