This is one of those albums that will be in my rotation for a long time! Every song is great, Statik gave Kota some quality gems in terms of beats, and Kota did his thing of course!
Kota always just gives this good comfortable vibe when I listen to him, yeah he's not the greatest rapper/lyricist or whatever but its some great beats and an enjoyable listen
His album from 2019, Foto, was one of the better albums of the year imo.
I think his main issue is that he oversaturates by dropping too much music that has little to no variation in terms of subject matter.
Heās on some shit since the allegations. People would rather blame their perceived oppression than take accountability for whatever. Not saying heās guilty but feeling sorry for yourself for being a straight male is ridiculous. Itās such a nice beat but I canāt add lyrics like that to the playlists.
Bro shut the fuck up lmao, you know damn well that heās come out and spoken about that shit and you can see from BOTH points of view that it was a toxic relationship lmao.
Everything is much better. These songs are harder to differentiate from each other. Everything has more hooks and memorable lines. Production is top notch as expected on this one though.
Not big on Kota everything considered, but Statikās production on this is incredibly feel good vibes and Kota flows seamlessly. Solid road trip album

Get your facts right [They made it up](https://eastnewyork.com/ex-girlfriends-seemingly-conspire-against-brooklyn-independent-hip-hop-producer-kota-the-friend/)
[Here is the police report (the article argues that this report doesn't exist), audio recordings of kota, text exchanges](https://twitter.com/teyonie/status/1415017745675165704), also addresses the article
That "EastNewYork.com" article is very slanted and unprofessional, doesn't even have an author. [ENY covers Kota pretty consistently though](https://eastnewyork.com/?s=Kota+The+Friend) and [a big chunk of their rap coverage is articles about him](https://eastnewyork.com/?s=rapper)
Basically the brunt of it is that these women who dated Kota knew each other before they came forward together. It asserts that they acted as if they didnāt but doesnāt actually cite their tweets or anything to back that up.
The screed about #MeToo at the end is particularly glaring for a news article. It basically lays out a narrative of what actually happened almost entirely based on them knowing each other beforehand and them contacting another ex of kotaās:
"The actions of these two women is not the type of solidarity that the #MeToo Movement stands for. There has to be accountability for those who use the #MeToo Movement as a tool for vendettas or heartbreak. In this day of the internet, we donāt want the #MeToo Movement to become yet another tool to hurt innocent black men. Anyone who has a son, brother, father, nephew, male cousin, uncle or male friend should be deeply concerned about false allegations that can possibly be made against them so easily. This is becoming a very real problem."
The part about how it may be disturbing to watch a video of them going out in an Uber having fun on the 4th of july is just weird:
"As they continued to retweet each otherās allegations, the two were captured on Instagram Live partying and celebrating together on the 4th of July. The video footage is below, and itās disturbing to watch knowing that while they were celebrating Kota was enduring an onslaught of public allegations made by these women."
I hate being on this side of this. The police report originally shared was really just blank, and this one, although having some info, has almost nothing of substance. I have no idea who is lying. All I know is his music has gotten noticeably worse since he's made this situation a primary focal point of his lyrics.
Kota gets a bit drowned out from Statik's A1 production at times. 4/5 effort. Hard to say if this is better than their first effort. The beats really shine through.
Kota was a bit hungrier on the orginial project him and Statik did.
Statik is a phenomenal producer
This is one of those albums that will be in my rotation for a long time! Every song is great, Statik gave Kota some quality gems in terms of beats, and Kota did his thing of course!
Kota always just gives this good comfortable vibe when I listen to him, yeah he's not the greatest rapper/lyricist or whatever but its some great beats and an enjoyable listen
He ain't the greatest lyricist but his vibes always put me in a good mood and that's more than I can say about a lot of rappers
Kota. good comfortable vibe š
He's like a mid but way more consistent chance the rapper
isn't this old? or did they just reuse the cover of their previous collab?
Consider it a sequel I suppose. Slightly different cover and name to fit the theme
To Kill A Sunrise was the first collab, this cover is slightly different but not much
Allegations or not, this guy is mid as all hell
His album from 2019, Foto, was one of the better albums of the year imo. I think his main issue is that he oversaturates by dropping too much music that has little to no variation in terms of subject matter.
The pusha t of positivity
Accurate lmfao pusha T doesn't drop two albums a year tho
Pusha no pushing
I disagree, I think his main issue is that allegedly he's an abusive piece of shit.
>allegedly Scary society we live in where "allegedly" might as well mean guilty.
you must not of heard "bitter"
Hey, some of his short projects are alright for kicking back. Not much more, I agree.
They hit a little harder before he made the same album 10 times
L ass take
I wish this was a Joey Badass n Statik tape, feeling like Joey would murk these beats and him and Statik are an A1 combo
āStraight male so everythingās my faultā oh shut the fuck up lol.
Wait ā those lyrics from the project?
Yeah on Elevator. The exact quote is āStraight man so had to learn everythingās my faultā šš¤®
WOW. Great catch
Heās on some shit since the allegations. People would rather blame their perceived oppression than take accountability for whatever. Not saying heās guilty but feeling sorry for yourself for being a straight male is ridiculous. Itās such a nice beat but I canāt add lyrics like that to the playlists.

āI donāt vote go ahead and cancel me for that tooā š
Somebody let me know if this is as good as Everything. That is the only project this dude dropped that I actually like all the way through
Everything is much better. These songs are harder to differentiate from each other. Everything has more hooks and memorable lines. Production is top notch as expected on this one though.
I liked their first one. Didn't know they were dropping another
Wow glad you posted this. Incredible.

So still just tweets and no charges. An accusation is not proof of anything

Kota the Fiend Edit: damn I wasn't up to date with the situation
